Mostly due of the spray nozzle, I'm unsure about this product. Although the composition is excellent and turns dark objects black once more, the way this product sprays—in a wave—makes it difficult to use in confined spaces. Because of excessive body paint spray, an engine bay cannot be used.To check if there is a difference, I want to test several nozzles from other products (once it gets warm again here in the east).I sincerely hope so, as it looks fantastic when applied after being sprayed onto a microfiber cloth.UPDATE: Okay, a number of applications to various plastic and vinyl products have been made, and I'm now a believer. The nozzle was odd at first, but I've become accustomed to it. I'll place more orders for this item. I've put it up against three other vinyl, rubber, and plastic sprays and creams, and this one comes out on top. Sincerely, I have used a number of products to try and restore the new appearance of black mud flaps, bumpers, grills, and other objects. This one succeeds. Review completed.

Consider your own errors before criticizing this product because, as far as I can determine, they account for the majority of the problems. So allow me to correct you or explain why a small proportion of people are experiencing bad outcomes.appear not shiny User mistake, Matte. Two things will happen if your surface has been properly prepared, which is a significant undertaking in and of itself. Spray it on while it's still moist. This is NOT a base coat or primer where the first coat is DUSTED. If you do, a dull coating is being laid down. 50% overlap, sprayed wet, and hand distance (about 6 to 8 inches). You start dusting if you're too far away. Be bold, but do not go overboard.No, it does not become harder. However, if you believe you can wet sand and polish the next day, you are mistaken. Prior to ever operating the car, you must first give it time to harden for at least 24 hours. Second, for around 7 to 10 days, refrain from touching, sanding, or playing with it. This is not professional clearcoat for an autobody shop that costs $500 per can. Be patient, and for the love of God, wait to wax or dress it until after the sanding and polishing stage.The images of my infant are included (2008 Mustang GT California Special). I used their 2K Primer, Scratch Wizard's HP White Base Coat, and Spray May Clear. each with 3 coats. Use this to fix the fairings of motorcycles. Since I was 15 years old, I have worked at an auto body shop, and I still have contacts in the industry. I must admit that this is a fantastic alternative (not a replacement!) for DIYers who want a trustworthy clearcoat but do not want the inconvenience or cost associated with having an auto body shop clear for you. None of the suitable aerosol clear coatings I had previously researched could compare to the quality of this one. This clear is a 2 part (2k) clearcoat, which means that there is 1 part clearcoat solvent and 1 part hardener, in case you're wondering what makes it different from other off-the-shelf clearcoats that you can get from an auto store or hardware store. The aerosol can contains a hardener that needs to be activated before use. Additionally, this is intended for professional use, as stated on the container. Even though I'm by no means an expert, I have painting experience, so that does help with preparation and application. SORRY, but it doesn't work that way, so don't anticipate perfect results by simply cracking open the can and clearing on anything you see! If you want a good finish, patience is essential while using this product and when painting in general.As the majority of people will overlook this, let me start with this (myself included). SAFETY! Even if it were, you shouldn't use aerosol spraycans, particularly Spraymax 2k in your garage, basement, or bedroom unless it is adequately ventilated. This isn't your standard rattle can from AutoZone or Home Depot. Put on a mask!Shake vigorously for approximately two minutes, remove the connected red button, turn the can upside-down, and press the red button on the activator switch to activate the hardener (totally made up the name for that part). Press down hard with the ball of your hand until it stops moving. When doing this, be sure to set it either on the ground or on a stable surface. The red button will remain in place if you did it correctly, however you won't really notice you done it other than a little click. To ensure proper mixing of the two solvents, shake for an additional 2 minutes.Spraymax 2k is flawless in terms of application and finishing. The spray pattern is extremely broad and resembles that of an actual spray pistol. You'll also notice that it sprays VERY finely, which makes it easy to blend with the surface you've already placed down. You want to overlap your preceding line by 50%. Incredible high gloss finish! How nicely this sprays and the result turns out will definitely amaze you. Spraymax 2k has excellent buffability, so wet-sanding with sandpaper of 1500 grit or higher and buffing afterwards will give you a mirror surface, further enhancing the finish.As with any auto painting, HOW you spray DOES NOT determine how your finish will turn out. People frequently forget that surface preparation and outdoor temperature have a significant impact on the quality of your finish. Again, if you take the time to prepare and paint, you will be astonished by the finished product. You'll see that the final cost was well worth the $30 per bottle once you look past it.

All I can say is that all the BS people say about plastidip damaging anything they use it on is completely user error, and in almost every case where I see a complaint, I can clearly see they applied it to a poorly prepped or poorly made surface. I love plasti dip, but I couldn't really give it a good enough in-depth review. For instance, applying this product on a car with poor paint is a bad idea in the first place and can lead to issues once it has been removed from the car. However, this is completely the user's fault for failing to ensure that this is being used correctly and applied to clean/new/prepped surfaces. For my own custom PC case and modding work, I've been using a lot of this material, and it's been a godsend. In addition to being faster and easier, applying the plasti dip on my products is also safer than painting them.

Did the preparation as other people had said, using a coarse scotch pad and 330 sanding. The photo on this page only shows the first coat; I was able to apply three good coatings on a 54-inch deck with light sanding between each coat, suggesting that the scotch pad was simpler to use. turned out excellently. I'm not sure if others are receiving a super high gloss black can, but mine is. I anticipate that this will help my mower deck endure a long time and make cleaning a little bit simpler. :-) I spent a lot of money on my new mower because I was disgusted by the condition of my old ZTR when I traded it in.

Three years after applying the blue Plasti Dip to my laptop computer, this is how it looks.My laptop's base has an odd wedge-like form. It will be slanted if you set it on a flat surface. The mouse on my laptop always slid toward me when I left it there. The mouse would keep sliding and hit the floor if I didn't catch it. Although I placed pads beneath the shorter end of the laptop to keep it level, the surface was still extremely smooth, and any movement would cause the mouse to slide off and crash to the floor. In the absence of keys, I kept a mouse pad there, but that wasn't a viable option either because the mouse pad would also fall off.Finally, I made the decision to utilize my laptop as a mouse pad and attach a sticky surface or anything with some friction to keep the mouse in place.Plasti Dip was painted onto the bottom of the laptop after painter's tape had been used to cover the areas I wasn't planning to cover with it. I then waited for it to dry.It has performed admirably. After three years, the Plasti Dip is still there and remains elastic enough to function as a mousepad and hold the mouse firmly in place.Since the Plasti Dip has started to develop a little discolored and little yellowish green on the left side, it must be over the computer's hotter area. Some mouse markings can be seen on the right side. But it still adheres to the laptop case and functions really well.

This POR-15 product, as with all of them, far exceeded my expectations.This is a one-step external coating that I purchased to shield a fuel tank of a 30-year-old Japanese micro truck from further rust damage.All I did was use a plug-in orbital sander designed for woodworking to sand the tank with 120 grit pads to remove any loose paint and surface rust and scaling. After using compressed air to blow it off, I began painting.This paint has amazing coverage. The key to POR-15 is to apply it thickly. Do not be alarmed; I almost waterfall-styled this material on a vertical surface and experienced no sagging issues. To guarantee that the heavier porosity of the extensively corroded area gets sealed tight, make sure to coat any areas with slightly more coverage than smooth parts.If you don't cover it heavily and uniformly so that the entire section has a high gloss, the paint will have a different appearance after it is cured in the parts you "dry sprayed," therefore you want coverage to lay on wet- greater coverage than a more satin or "dry spray" state. It's merely a property of the paint, and since it doesn't droop at all, it's simple to get around.I still have a few ounces in the can and one can was more than enough for three thick coatings on a tank with, based on surface area, a calculation of roughly 10 square feet.I gave it a day to cure before mounting the tank again. When I lifted the tank back into the undercarriage, I wasn't as cautious as I could have been, and I damaged the new finish on several sheet metal edges and protruding bolt ends.I was shocked to find no trace of my negligence. No cracks or scratches, this is a serious chassis paint that is as tough and long-lasting as POR-15 in a brush-on can, but it won't fade as quickly in UV light as the brush-on variety.Note that unlike brush-on paint, this chassis paint is unable to fill pits or conceal rougher, rusted parts of a part. Where a premium finish is sought, both products should be used; in my instance, it wasn't essential.According to my experience, POR-15 products function and stick better on components that have a rougher surface, rough but free of loose paint and rust, dirt, and oil of course. I believe that the unfavorable evaluations of this product may have been from over-preparation. Over-preparation will reduce POR products' adherence.POR-15 chews up the surface left by 120 grit paper because it is too abrasive for regular paints to cover. It adores adhering to areas that were sanded with a really harsh abrasive.Value for money! a contented repeat customer. I'll use it once more.ADVANCE: 8/8/16:When exposed to gasoline, this paint will start to lift and peel quickly. does not take exposure or fuel spills well at all. I had to write a review because there are so many drawbacks, I guess. If used properly, this stuff is wonderful. Properly is understood to mean: First and foremost, you MUST, MUST, MUST vigorously prepare the surfaces. Laquer thinner or enamel reducer should be applied to a rag before use. NOT mineral spirits or turpentine. Go over it twice more after you believe you have cleaned it well. Take the can now, and give it a good shake. Spray the object SO LITTLELY that it barely covers it. At this point, you'll see that the substance is actually a dye that is gradually etching into the vinyl or leather and not paint at all. Wait another 10 to 15 minutes, then reapply a light coat. Even so, it shouldn't totally enclose the object. Then, give it another coat after waiting another ten to fifteen minutes. Up till you have complete coverage, keep doing this. The most crucial step now is to set aside any high-use items, including seats or arm rests, and give them at least two weeks to cure. Although difficult, it is necessary. After using this product on vinyl seats, they still appear brand new after four years. Although it seems impossible, it is possible to "paint" vinyl seats.
