Finding a back windshield wiper was challenging at the stores, and it proved to be more challenging online than I had anticipated. Cross-referencing on the brand website revealed that although the product listings on Amazon said they were compatible with my car, they were not. I finally decided on this one, reasoning that I wouldn't lose a lot of money if it didn't work. Even though I only needed the wiper, this also included the wiper arm. The included directions are a little hazy, but I just YouTubed it and within 10 minutes I was able to remove my old wiper and install the new one. It appears to be of similar quality to my previous model, which was brand-new when it left the factory, and so far it has no problems. We'll have to wait and see how it stands up in the weather. So far, I'm quite happy with the price and the caliber.

The bushing on this wiper arm is completely smooth; in contrast, the wiper arm I removed had a serrated bushing since the wiper post also had a serrated bushing. My old arm had to be removed due to corrosion, but after cleaning it and applying some anti-seize to the shaft, this went on without a hitch. Granted, you have to hold the wiper arm in place because there are no teeth to mesh from the bushing to the wiper motor shaft. The arm functioned flawlessly when I tightened the nut, and it had considerably more spring tension than the OEM arm, which had worn out and wasn't clearing the window.Since the spring tension cannot be adjusted, replacing the wiper arm is the only solution I am aware of to address the issue if your wiper is leaving portions of the window unwiped. The blade on this arm perfectly scrapes and clears the window and the spring tension is considerably better. This is perfect for me and costs only a fraction of a Toyota replacement. It just cost a few dollars more than the Toyota replacement blade.

It came in a sturdy box and took only two days to arrive.Since my original had a crack that made it possible for it to come off, I did not require a puller. If your original gear puller is jammed on, any good sixe gear puller should work. Before installing the replacement wiper, make sure to clean the motor shaft with a wire brush. In the end, I only used the wiper insert and not the entire covered assembly. The blade is packaged individually with the product and has a very attractive protective cover on it.I decided against attempting to disassemble the entire wiper arm system on our 2015 Ford Escape. The original is attached quite firmly and, even after I loosened the nut, didn't seem to want to come off. It would probably be simpler if I had a pulley puller. I was concerned that if I tried to force the original onto the stud with the tools I had at hand, I might fracture the back window because it is pressed onto the stud so firmly. Despite this, this component resembles the original in every way, therefore I am not sorry to have it in my garage.There are numerous videos on You Tube that demonstrate how to just remove the wiper blade. I acted in this manner. Reaching behind the housing to get the round pin proved a little frustrating, but persistence is all that is needed. Once more, PATIENCE is required to get the wiper to latch onto the pin. If you read the comments, the vendor also provides advice on how to get rid of everything.I would unquestionably suggest this and would purchase another.

When necessary, I would purchase replacement wiper blades from the neighborhood dealer. I thought I was just ordering the replacement wiper blade when I stumbled across this. To my amazement, I was able to purchase the full arm assembly at the same vendor for the same cost as the blade alone. Winter is currently here, so I only changed the blade because it was too chilly to tamper with the entire unit. With the older arm, the blade operates flawlessly. Since I don't have a garage and the Jeep is always outside, I will replace the arm in the spring when the weather warms. I would suggest this product if you need a rear blade component because it offers excellent value for the money.
