The switch appears to be working properly, however I immediately observed that the window lock button was stuck locked. It was stuck in the unlock position when I connected it to test whether it would move with current flowing through it; it would not switch to the lock position. Windows did open and close when I tested them, but as soon as I attached this new master switch, all of my other switches ceased to function. I'm not sure if this is a result of the window lock button being stuck.Although it has a decent appearance, the window lock button is stuck and it disables my other window switches. Images have been added to demonstrate how it appears right out of the box. When I put on my old one, everything went back to normal.**** Update** After I requested a replacement, it arrived the following day along with a document urging me to contact Switch Doctor personally if there are any issues with my things and another paragraph with recommendations for rating them. After I attached the replacement switch, everything started working. It might have been the one item out of a thousand that was flawed, but as long as there was no problem with a replacement or a return, I was satisfied.

Without requiring any modifications, this window switch controller fit in my 2011 Z71 Silverado 1500. I was ready to file some plastic, just like some other buyers had to, but it wasn't necessary for me. All the switches were functional, including the backlight. The aftermarket switch controller, as you can see in the photographs I supplied, differs slightly from the ACDelco OEM part in the bottom with regard to the placement of the plug, but the empty area in the door is big enough to accommodate it. If you're searching for a switch controller that doesn't need modification, I recommend buying from Marsauto because that's where I bought mine.

installed in my 1998 XJ Classic, which has electrical problems all everywhere. Both of the door's wire harnesses, which each had a few broken shorts and wires, were removed, and I restored them. My passenger window regulator was kept closed with a little needlenose channel lock set (nice, new tool!). Amazon provides the replacement repair kit, which I also installed, and it had the typical broken part on the wire end. I saw people disassembling them to reset the solder joints when I arrived at the drivers control panel, so I gave it a try but failed miserably. Many of the plastic buttons were broken by me. I had also seen how to get around the lock button on the control pad, but I refrained from using it. Purchased this component, installed it quickly, and now all of my windows operate flawlessly once more. The window lock button also functions. Many thanks!

Chevy Silverado 2009 Some of my power windows had ceased functioning after a few years. The tipping point came when one of my granddaughters asked me to roll down one of the back windows because it was getting a little warm. In the middle of a rainy week, I answered "fine," not expecting it to entirely roll down before dying totally rolled up. Since the window could be rolled down and the regulator motor was not making any noise, I deduced that the master and rear right window switches must be broken. I thus ordered the master switch and the rear driver-side switches right away. It took me a total of 20 minutes to remove, replace, and put all of my truck's windows back in excellent working order. Wow, I fixed something that would have cost a mechanic at least a few hundred dollars in components and labor for less than thirty dollars.
To clean a power window switch, you will need a few supplies. You will need a clean cloth, some distilled water, and some rubbing alcohol. First, start by unplugging the switch from the power source. Next, use the clean cloth to wipe down the switch. Be sure to get all of the dirt and grime off of the switch. Once the switch is clean, use the distilled water to rinse it off. Finally, use the rubbing alcohol to disinfect the switch. Be sure to dry the switch off before plugging it back in.
If your car has manual windows, you'll have to roll them up and down by hand. It's not difficult, but it does take a little bit of practice. Here's how to do it: 1.
