Yes, there are mics in helmets. They are placed in the earflaps or on the sides of the helmet. They amplify the wearer's voice so that it can be heard over the noise of the engine and wind.
Yes, Bluetooth helmets can talk to each other as long as they are equipped with the proper Bluetooth technology. This allows motorcyclists to communicate with each other while on the road.
Different intercom brands can connect if they use the same communication protocol. Communication protocols are like a language that allows devices to talk to each other. Many different brands of intercoms use the same communication protocols, so they can connect to each other.
If you have a Sena Bluetooth device and a Cardo Bluetooth device, you can pair them together. To do this, put the Sena device into pairing mode and then put the Cardo device into pairing mode. Once both devices are in pairing mode, they should connect to each other automatically.

My wife and I each have Sena 20S systems. I commute in a 2007 FXDSE. She rides with a 3/4 helmet on, and every time she does, I hear a ton of wind noise that drives me mad. I would constantly remind myself to get her some microphone sponges, but I would always forget. This continued for weeks. I finally acquired these in the hopes that they might assist.WHY did I not receive these earlier! The wind noise is completely gone! If only I could convince my wife to give up driving in the backseat...

This headset is amazing. I devoted a lot of time to researching reviews of the key rivals, including the Sena SMH10D-10, Interphone f4 and f5, Scala G4 and G9, and Scala. I selected the Sena based on what I discovered.Communication between bikes and riders is excellent, and it has been quite simple to use. Both my bike and my coworker and I meet up to ride the majority of the way to work together. These have been put to daily use by us with no issues at all. Recently, my wife and I took a vacation that took us two people 6-7 hours each way. We had no problems and spoke the entire time. The speaker quality is excellent, and we can hear each other very clearly. As many others have observed, I have tested calls as well, and nobody I have spoken to has even noticed that I am riding a motorcycle.Music: I listen to music every day for at least 30 minutes and occasionally for two hours while I commute to and from work. Even after repeatedly listening to some of the tracks, the clarity of the speakers allows me to hear new things. They are fantastic!Usefulness: Pairing and everyday use of them are quite simple. You can do practically anything with the 2 buttons, after reading the manual a few times, from changing tunes to connecting to another intercom to volume and phone control.I would definitely choose the Sena SMH10 again if I could go back in time and make this purchase again.

Helmet clamp kit with attachable boom microphone and wired microphone
Works with Sena SMH10, SMH10R, SMH5, and SMH5-FM Bluetooth Headsets
Part Number: SMH-A0302

These are fantastic; I have three sets for all of my riding, switching only the Sena module. I use these for my snowmobile, ATV, and motorcycle. connect is simple. A must-have for the motorcycle if you want to hear your wife coming up behind you Since I wear an open-face helmet without a wind shield, the microphone picks up SO MUCH NOISE that I can't use it. I made a tiny hole in the thumb of a leather glove and covered the microphone with it to address this. Make sure you use the foam and clip-on windscreens that are included. It must be kept in close proximity to your lips for it to function properly.

I simply wish the installation instructions were more clear. It wasn't challenging, though, especially since I had access to another helmet with an earlier Sena bluetooth that I could duplicate. I first had trouble getting the unit to operate. The player appeared to be playing after the bluetooth connection was made... However, there was absolutely no sound emanating from it. After a little tinkering, I realized that I had cranked the clamp down too far. I suppose the connection was messed up. However, as soon as I released the allen head screws (which were still secure enough for me to grasp onto the helmet), the sound began to come through clearly and loudly.good sound, a strong connection, and a great price. I would continue to make purchases.

This group has been fantastic. Compared to other systems I examined before making a purchase, the button controls are significantly easier to use. I've been utilizing this unit frequently for the past three months despite the Northwest winter's adverse weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, etc.). I want to emphasize that I have used the device flawlessly while wearing thick battery-heated gloves.Having said that, the owner's manual is useless and terrible. The phone app could also use some assistance, but I only really used it once to set up everything originally and haven't used it since. At least until spring when I start participating in group rides and will need to use the app to coordinate with other rides. However, the manual and app do not diminish the system's enormous advantages. Some advantages include: - My Android phone works well. Stream music, get directions via a map app, answer calls hands-free, etc.Noise cancellation. I'm using the included boom mic and speakers to have excellent talks while driving a 2017 Victory Octane with the loudness of no mufflers.- Long lasting battery. I recently drove 450 miles (about a 10-hour drive) and the battery on this device still worked. If only my phone could last that long!- The weather was perfect. Due to a tight seal over the charging port, I have been riding for the most of the past three months in the rain without experiencing any problems.– Audio quality. I can state that I have no issues with the sound quality despite being unable to compare it to other brands or units on the market. Once more, I'm using this in conjunction with a loud bike. Thanks to the simple volume control and excellent fit into the helmet's pre-designed location, I can listen to anything I want and enjoy it for hours.- The company offered good support. Had little interaction and was contacted by email, but I had a response within a day, and the directions were straightforward and simple to follow.Cons: - To say that the owner's manual stinks is an understatement is best.- The software is not as user-friendly as it could or should be, which is made worse by how terrible the manual also happens to be.I should also mention that I later bought two more units for family members and spread the word to some of my acquaintances, some of whom also bought the unit and are happy with it.

If all you need is bike to bike communication, it's quite simple to utilize. I decided on the Packtalk after researching product reviews and user guides for all the top bluetooth systems. There is no easier way to communicate through intercom between two or more bikes. Just couple the devices with the pack creator, enter DMC mode, and start speaking. They instantly link to the pack when you switch them on and off again. They only got used to chat to my wife while she was riding her own bike, and they were perfect. Additionally, I was able to call a different passenger who had phone access but no intercom mode. When you want to use the GPS or listen to music, it can be a little more difficult, but I don't utilize those capabilities. The manual's poor quality is the sole reason I awarded it four instead of five stars. YouTube videos are a better resource for learning than the instructions.

Like everyone else, I vacillated between this and the Sena, but in the end, after speaking with users of each and reading reviews, I decided on the Cardo Packtalk Bold JBL. Main causesWaterproof IP67 rating. Sena isn't water resistant.2. Voice activation that is truly hands-free, like Alexa. To activate a voice command with Sena, you must press the button while holding it.3. The new JBL 40mm speakers are superior to the Sena 40mm speakers, having decent quality and a great base response. It is feasible to use them on roads while wearing earplugs since you can turn them up so loud until it hurts your ears. You'll really get fairly nice equivalent of cabin gain on the bass if you use a quiet helmet like the Shoei GT-Air, which is nice.4. Size: The Bold is significantly smaller than the Sena 30s (someone took a photo comparing the two), which results in less helmet tugging to the side, one of the most common complaints about the 30s. The profile of the Cardo bold is extremely slim. There is the Bold Slim, however many I know who have it now want to switch to the Bold due to the slim's shorter battery life. Additionally, if you ride a sport bike, the Packtalk Slim battery is on the rear neck of your helmet and may be bothersome when tucked in. Just something to think about while choosing the Bold.5. The bottom of Sena has a plastic clasp that will crack. This is a serious issue, according to Trusted Reviews, and since the clip is on the device itself, not the dock, it cannot be replaced. Cardo doesn't have the problem because the dock's retention clip is much thicker and more robust.6. To obtain a thorough study of them, search FortNine's review for "motorcycle bluetooth communications."7. Perfectly fits in the speaker pouches on my Shoei GT-Air helmet. Here are a few details:1. The microphone should be set just in front of your mouth. I've seen videos that recommend doing this, but you should only use a boom mic. For voice commands to operate, the condenser (flat) mic definitely needs to be in front (I had it off to the side where it was closer to the cheek pads, but you really need to put it directly front.) Breathing is effectively filtered out by the mic gain and noise isolation, so don't worry about picking it up.2. The latest models with JBL include natural speech control (a significant improvement over the previous voice commands), enabling you to use Cardo, Alexa, Siri, HeyGoogle, Hey Waze, and other voice-controlled apps. For me, that was the selling factor. Using Hey Cardo, Ok Google, opening Waze, or any other voice command I choose, I can control anything on my phone. Once Waze was launched, I had complete control over it thanks to the Hey Waze commands. Wonderfully effective! Waze allows you to fully operate your phone and navigate without ever having to take it out of your pocket or glance at it. Slick. Sena has not yet caught up to this level of expertise in this regard.3. The JBL 40mm speakers now sound excellent and improved, similar to the ones on the 30s. You won't receive a lot of bass because these speakers aren't enormous and aren't installed inside a proper resonator (bass needs a closed air pocket to resonate). However, it's not bad for a flat speaker. By lowering the treble and increasing the loudness to make up for it, the sound quality is excellent. With a good quiet helmet, the bass will gain cabin gain, making the sound boomier when the visor is closed.4. Using the cheekpads while handling the wires was a little challenging. In order to avoid wire pinches and cuts, I later discovered that you should insert the cheek pads first, then tuck the wires under them for a neat appearance.5. Excellent mic pickup! With auto volume gain based on ambient sounds, background noise is automatically reduced in volume based on your surroundings.6. It is less expensive than the Sena 30s.7. This device is insanely tiny in comparison to the Sena 30s and is IP67 (waterproof), whereas the Sena is not. The device is completely hands-free. You'll feel right at home using this if you're used to utilizing Alexa or Siri.Overall, this is neat, and I also have this technology in my car, so I can use it to hands-free manage my phone.

I was hesitant to buy because of negative reviews on the app support. Before making a purchase, I emailed Carda to check if the problems with the free app had been fixed. They told me that while the android app was working OK, they were having problems getting help for the iOS app. On the basis of this evaluation, I bought. The stuff arrived, and the app was excellent. Although you don't need the app to use it, having one is nice. I previously owned a sena and really enjoyed it, but this one has a lot more features. I am delighted with my purchase and would happily suggest it to others.
Yes, you can speak through a motorcycle helmet. The helmet will muffle your voice, but you will be able to be heard.
No, not all players have mics in their helmets. This is because the NFL does not require that all players have mics in their helmets. There are some players who choose to have mics in their helmets so that they can communicate with their coaches and teammates during the game, but there are also some players who do not want to have mics in their helmets for various reasons.
Yes, some defensive players have mics in their helmets. This allows the coaches to communicate with them and give them instructions during the game. It can be a helpful tool for the defense to have, but it is not required.
Yes, Cardo has noise cancelling.
If you're looking to add Bluetooth connectivity to your helmet, there are a few different ways to do it. One option is to purchase a Bluetooth-enabled helmet, which will have the necessary hardware built in. Another option is to buy a Bluetooth kit that can be installed in your existing helmet. These kits typically include a microphone, speakers, and a control unit that mounts on the outside of the helmet. Installation is usually fairly straightforward, although it's always a good idea to consult the instructions that come with your particular kit.
If you have an intercom system and want to use it with your motorcycle helmet, you'll need to purchase a special adapter. Once you have the adapter, simply follow the instructions that came with it to properly connect the intercom to your helmet.
