For the price, this flush kit is nicer than I anticipated. It's simple to assemble and has superb fit and finish. The tank was clean, but before utilizing it on my AC system, I poured some flush solvent through it. This is a fantastic habit to get into and is crucial whether you're flushing the evaporator or condenser. Utilizing the Goplus is simple. Before pulling the trigger, it's important to check that the tip is correctly inserted and that there is a tight seal. Otherwise, you'll "flush" more more than you meant to. I used it with a highly flammable solvent and the rubber tip didn't degrade at all. A spare rubber tip and O-ring were also included, which impressed me. A quick-fit air adaptor was also included. Unfortunately, most DIYers won't require the converter that is offered. If you own a compressor, you probably already have one lying around. In conclusion, an excellent product at a good price.

I APPLIED THIS AS A WATER LINE CLEANER/FLUSH FOR THE REFRIGERATOR. Okay, I filled it with vinegar and a few drops of blue food coloring instead of using it for its original usage. While I supplied roughly 4-5 tankfuls from the opposite side, my wifey drained the water out of the front side. We knew our refrigerator was fully stocked with vinegar when the water on the wife's side of the refrigerator turned blue. Simply connect your regular water line and reinstall your filter after letting it set for a few hours or overnight. When the water is completely clear, flush for about 3 days (I kid you not) or for around 5 to 6 gallons. After we disconnected our fridge for almost a week, this allowed us to thoroughly clean out the clogged lines. These two things are related: Connect an air compressor to the inlet at roughly 45 psi (the same pressure as city water). Fill the tank with vinegar and food coloring (I went with blue because I didn't want red to strangely discolor the lines). Pay close attention because as soon as your spouse begins pulling water from the front side, the tank will swiftly empty. I placed a towel underneath it and aggressively forced the rubber nozzle tip into the intake since I was unable to get a matching connection on the nozzle side. It did spill a little bit, but I was still able to feed it quite easily into the refrigerator. When opening the tank and releasing the pressure, take care. Wear shabby attire. Vinegar with blue food coloring will spray and mist a little bit. I had to look for a solution to the issue with our fridge and found one in this. This technique was discovered on some obscure forum, but I'm sure there are lots of people who, like me, just want the debris removed from the lines without changing them altogether. Good fortune. That works. In no time at all, you may resume sipping ice-cold, crystal-clear water.

Because it can be safely connected to an AC line without releasing any back pressure, this flush kit can withstand the 120 psi necessary. I seldom ever used mine. For three years, I had it. Out of the package, every component retained pressure. High-quality bottle and valve are used. The plastic regulator broke when I twisted it the incorrect way after three years because the rubber seal that connects to the AC line was beginning to fracture. I'm going to get another one. Do they sell the rubber seal separately at Four Seasons? The regulator is a decent safety measure, but I could probably get around it. Before and after each flush, I'll season the new rubber seal with mineral oil.

If you're replacing an AC compressor because it catastrophically failed, you MUST use them! While gathering the components to rebuild my "exploded" AC compressor, I came across these. For the high and low pressure lines, I purchased one of these and one of the comparable AC Delco 15-10413 filters (I wrote evaluations that were similar for both filters). I 'thought' I had cleansed my system thoroughly, but after two weeks with the new compressor, I chose to evacuate it and examine the screens. Everything was running smoothly, but because I'm a curious person, what I discovered terrified the living daylights out of me. They had captured a LOT of metal debris that would have likely ruined my new compressor in a matter of weeks or months, so I am SO grateful that I put them. I firmly believe in them and will ZERO TIMES replace a compressor without utilizing in-line filters!
You can use mineral spirits to flush your AC system, but you need to be careful. Mineral spirits are highly flammable, so you need to make sure that there are no open flames or sparks near the area where you're using them. Also, make sure to ventilate the area well.
