bought from nextec.It was a little challenging to install the drive. Once it did, my 360 recognised it without any problems, despite the fact that I had to push rather firmly to get it to click in. I've been downloading games and loading all my add-on info onto it. Works perfectly for me, but externally, it does like a rebuild.Microsoft only permits specific models of hard discs to be identified within the cases, in case anyone thinks this is suspicious. If you have a different model, you must have used some elaborate duplicity to get the 360 OS to recognise the drives.

This hard disk performs admirably and is far less expensive than the version made by Microsoft. This hard drive won't function right out of the box if you're looking for one to make your Xbox 360 compatible with your older original Xbox games. The hard disk can be altered to make this function operate. You'll need a connection to link this to your computer, which I ultimately had to install in my laptop out of pocket in order to complete the last step. YouTube has videos that can instruct you on what to do. If this makes you uncomfortable, you might want to spend the extra money on the Microsoft version. Please find the instructions online and be very aware of what you are getting into before you buy this if you do decide to change it. This hard drive has been modified by me, and it is now excellent. We have lots of storage space and can play the classic games. However, some of the older games will still not function. Games that Microsoft supports backwards compatibility are listed online. It has worked well for three months while we've been using it.

I recently spent $99 for a 4GB Xbox 360 with the intention of using a 16GB flash drive or something similar, but I soon realized that I would require more capacity regardless of how few games I played. The console booted without a hitch and detected the hard disk right away. After renaming it, I continued with my GTA V-related activities. Nothing wrong thus yet.The pull tab might be the only negative. I won't be taking it off any time soon, but from the feel of it, I can envision it deteriorating and coming off over time. Not at all a deal breaker for me.
