Weed burners are safe when used properly. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when using a weed burner. Never leave a weed burner unattended while it is lit. Be sure to keep children and pets away from the area while you are using the weed burner.
Yes, you can burn weeds in your fire pit. Be sure to check with your local fire codes first. You will also want to make sure that your fire pit is big enough to handle the weeds.
Weeds can be a pain to remove, especially when they're in difficult to reach places like between rocks. You may be tempted to just burn them, but beware – this can be dangerous and is not always effective. Burning weeds can release harmful chemicals into the air, which can be dangerous to your health and the environment. It can also damage your rocks, making them more susceptible to erosion. If you must burn weeds, do so with caution and only as a last resort. Be sure to wear proper protective gear and always supervise the fire closely.
An electric weed zapper is a handheld device that uses a high-voltage, low-amperage electrical current to kill weeds. The current passes through the metal probe, which is inserted into the soil, and into the weed. The current disrupts the plant's cell membranes, causing the plant to die. Weed zappers are most effective on small weeds that are not too deeply rooted. They are not effective on large weeds or weeds that are deeply rooted. The current can also kill other plants that it comes into contact with, so care must be taken to avoid

This was what I ordered yesterday, and I got it this afternoon. As soon as the rain stopped, I attached a propane cylinder from my camping gear and gave it a go here in the weedy Pacific Northwest. The ignition button was flawless and lit up right away. No need for lighters or sparks to light this one which is a huge plus especially if it is windy. My flame was repeatedly put out, but I was able to quickly and effortlessly relight it. I started burning damp weeds that grow on the street curb, then on my paver patio and having never used an equipment like this I thought it took longer than I was expecting. I burned some to complete ash and other long leggy weeds just until they fell over. I'll see in a week or so if this worked as weeds tend to grow very fast in this area. Once I got going I couldn't stop! This thing is addicting much like my gas powered pressure washer:) I have arthritis in my thumbs and wrists and had no problem holding and maneuvering this tool around for a solid hour. I would recommend this torch for burning weeds in smaller hard to reach areas like in rockery, between pavers, expansion joints in curbs and driveways... I found it became tedious trying to burn larger patches which could be pulled in a fraction of the time despite the fact I HATE weeding. Overall this tools was uncomplicated and so easy to use right out of the package which also was easy to open! I love the quick and effortless ignition switch, the comfortable ergonomic shape and foam grip covered handle, ease of attaching the propane cylinder, light weight, and how easy and fun it is to casually walk around frying those insidious weeds! I almost purchased another model which attaches to a large propane tank, has a long hose and does not self ignite, because it had tons of great reviews. This Housables Propane Garden Torch only had 6 but they were all positive so I took my chances and I am glad I did. The two things that ultimately prompted me to order this product were the igniter and the smaller light weight propane cylinder.

What a hoot! I can't turn it on past 1/6th because it blows itself out, but WOWSER, this thing works fantastically and is also a lot of fun!I discovered that burning large weeds that are at least one foot tall is really not a good idea because they start a small bonfire, but what the hell!Although the connectors became loose with use, they were simple to tighten using a monkey wrench. It's a little hard to wield for long periods of time.I used pavers to clean a patio, and just so you know, when you step on a huge weed, the bricks get incredibly hot. I could even feel the bottom of my running shoe start to melt a little. Don't walk over an area you just finished, instead wait for it to cool or go backwards.

INSTANTLY KILLS WEEDS: Weeds are notorious for being stubborn. One of the most effective ways to get rid of them is by burning them. Our handy fire torch will heat the weeds up in seconds, making them quickly wither and die. This flamethrower is particularly useful for rock gardens where you can’t easily access the roots of the weeds.
REDUCES BENDING & STRAINING: Bending over to pull weeds can put strain on your lower body, causing problems for your lower back, hips, legs, and knees. Besides pulling weeds, you might also pull a muscle! Our propane torch lighter makes it so that you can stand while getting rid of weeds, providing you with the relief you need.
MELTS ICE: Are you tired of slipping on ice? Ice is the cause of many injuries. No longer will you need to worry about slipping and sliding since our propane torch doubles as a de-icer and is able to melt large patches of ice. Simply use the torch to apply heat to the frozen area then watch the ice melt away in seconds. Finally, your walkway and driveway will be safe again!
USES 14 & 16 OZ. TANKS: This torch stick is compatible with 14 oz. and 16 oz. propane cylinders. The propane tank is not included. Never use this torch on dry plants or around flammable materials. Instead, use it to handle weeds, remove brush, banish small debris, or melt ice. Its versatility makes it an especially practical piece of equipment to add to your lawn tools and yard supplies.
CONVENIENTLY PORTABLE: Other flamethrowers can be big and bulky, taking up space in your storage. Fortunately, our fire torch is a small, handheld size. Easily store this torch in your shed or garage when it’s not in use. You can also bring it with you to perform various odd jobs for others’ yards and lawns.

Use it not on dead grass, according to the directions. I have a garden made of slates with little marble rocks positioned in between. I started by pulling all of the weeds. Then I used Round Up to kill out what was remained. Then I used Simple Green to clean the slates. Then I set ablaze every weed stump. It performed flawlessly! After that, all I had to do was use my battery-powered blower to remove it all. It is now as good as new. Yes, I used it on weeds and dead grass, but only in a rock garden. The heavens ensured my safety by raining after I finished. A fantastic investment!

I purchased the product with one specific purpose in mind: to burn bothersome weeds on my property without having to move a 20-pound gas tank. With sufficient heat, a straight flame, and a good level of comfort, it works well for that.As they say, "Every difficulty appears like a nail when you have a hammer." I must admit, though, that now that I have this handy little torch, a world of possibilities for usage is opening up for me.The options are truly only limited by your imagination, whether it be a campfire starter (suck it Eagle Scouts and your flint and twigs), charcoal grill starter, sous vide meat searer, or flame thrower. Carry on, torch!

It was a true test of patience to have this delivered and then be forced to wait several days, but this Mama finally got to try her new Weed Dragon on a gorgeous albeit windy Mother's Day. It was easy to unbox, hook-up (no Dad/man-hands needed!), and get started. I'll admit I was a bit nervous using the spark lighter because 100,000 BTU capacity that close to my hand sounds a little scary, but it just made an impressive little "pwoof" but flamed only out of the end of the unit rather than the imagined grill-lighting-like flame cloud. The on/off knob provided enough flame control to adjust to a perfect blue blast rather than less controlled yellow flame. I didn't think I would even need the squeeze valve, but it proved helpful in creating a short more intense blast to reach ground level seedlings through taller weeds - I think it will definitely be worth the extra cost over time. It was easy (and a bit fun) to watch the ragweed seedlings, insidious lemon balm, dandelion, vetch, crab grass, and even a few small volunteer maples wilt after 1-2 seconds of heat - definitely no need to torch until crispy. The 10' hose is just long enough for me to be able to place the propane tank in a central spot and work in a broad area before needing to turn off the unit and move the tank.I'll also note that I got a few odd looks from folks passing by. In part because of the sound - think jet pack - and in part because it's not often that you see a woman with a "flame thrower" in her front yard! :)Within two days, some areas are completely withered and almost clear for planting while others, particularly where the weeds were a bit taller, will need a second go around. Yet, I don't mind because in about one hour of flame weeding, I was able to cover areas that would have taken 5-6 hours to properly hand weed.A quick caution: some thatch and scattered dry material did catch fire but I was moving slowly and it was easily stamped out (no bare feet or my usual sandals) (no bare feet or my usual sandals). It was also quite windy, so we ended up using a watering can to follow-up and ensure that no embers remained in areas with dry material on the ground. If you're a little nervous about fire in general and are trying to decide if this would be hazardous, simply keep a hose or filled watering can nearby and use common sense - pick up plastic plant markers/tags, tarps, landscape fabric/plastic because it will all burn if you get too close... the same with paint, so take care if you have a painted foundation.

utilizing this to manage weeds. Works much better than chemicals that cause cancer and is really simple to use. made very good. After connecting it to a propane tank, SLOWLY open the propane tank valve, as some other people have mentioned. The torch won't function properly if opened too rapidly. It's a safety precaution that you should keep in mind.Additionally, using it is so much fun! Let the marshmallows fly.

Although switching from the string cutter head to the metal blade is somewhat cumbersome, this method works nicely. Making the adjustment will be more challenging if I ever misplace the special tool needed to lock the mechanism in place.Even with the string cutter, I still ended up covered from head to toe in plant debris despite the fact that it is light and functions well. It is also inherently noisy. I strongly advise against wearing anything else in addition to long sleeves, goggles, a face shield, and hearing protection. I wore a full chainsaw face shield. I can control what happens when I use a chainsaw, but not with this machine! All things considered, I'm satisfied with the product's performance and price.
Weed burners, or flame weeders, are a popular tool for removing weeds from paving. But are they damaging your block paving? The short answer is no, weed burners will not damage your block paving. The heat from the flame is not intense enough to damage the paving, and in fact can actually help to kill any weeds that are already growing in the cracks. However, if you are not careful, you can damage the paving with the weed burner. Be sure to keep the flame moving, and don't let it linger in one spot for too long
A weed burner, also known as a weed torch, is a tool used to kill weeds by burning them. The weed burner consists of a tank of propane or butane gas, a hose, and a nozzle. The gas is ignited at the nozzle, and the flame is directed at the weed. Weed burners work by heating the weed to a high temperature, causing the plant to dry out and die. The weed burner can be used on most types of weeds, including brambles. However, it is important to be careful when using the weed burner, as
Weed torches are devices that use heat to kill weeds. The torch heats up the weed's leaves, causing them to dry out and die. Some weed torches also have a flame that can burn the weed's roots, preventing it from regrowing. Weed torches are effective at killing weeds, but they have some drawbacks. First, they only work on small areas. If you have a large weed problem, you'll need to use multiple weed torches or another method of weed control. Second, weed torches can be dangerous to use. The flame can easily start a fire if you
No definitive answer exists, as the effects of burning weeds on soil health depend on a number of factors, such as the type of weed, the type of soil, and the intensity of the fire. However, some studies suggest that burning weeds can damage soil health, as the heat from the fire can kill beneficial soil microbes and disturb the soil’s structure. Additionally, the smoke from the fire can deposit harmful chemicals on the soil. Therefore, it is important to consider all of these factors before deciding whether or not to burn weeds on your property.
To get rid of weeds in a gravel driveway, you can either physically remove them or use a chemical herbicide. To physically remove them, you can either pull them up by hand or use a weed whacker. To use a chemical herbicide, you will need to purchase a weed killer that is specifically designed to kill weeds in gravel driveways.
Flame weeding is a method of weed control that uses a flame torch to kill weeds. The heat from the flame destroys the weed's cell walls, causing the plant to die. Flame weeding is most effective on young weeds that are actively growing. Older, more established weeds are more resistant to the heat and may require multiple treatments. Treatments typically last for 1-2 weeks, depending on the weed species and growth stage. Re-treatments may be necessary for persistent weeds.
