For my Hayward pool filter's drain valve, I utilized this plug. I have a cartridge-style filter, and I just discovered that the drain stop is dripping. They obtain the 1.5 mm from the inside thread "yet it is the correct plug after some verification and entering my model number. Therefore, bear that in mind. Thanks.

The product is made of plastic. Before it becomes "cheesy" and degrades due to pool chemicals, anticipate it to endure three to five seasons. It will continue to function for a few more seasons before deteriorating totally. The handle, however, is incredibly poorly designed. Before the plastic "teats" start allowing the handle to pop out of the holes intended to secure them, expect it to last three or four days. One or both of them will eventually break, forcing you to "play" with the basket to get it in and out without a handle to hold. A few loops of sturdy fishing line, possibly 80# test or better, can be used to tie up a useful handle. Even while it won't last forever, it will be simple to replace and will function better than the basket's fragile handle with its feeble nubs. I suppose the basket's nub-fitting holes could be drilled out to make room for a rope handle, but it could be challenging to fit the rope into the gap between the basket and its container. Because it is so thin and fits in the space, fishing line is effective. Eventually, perhaps, Hayward will acknowledge the flaw in the product and create a handle that meets user requirements. Why is it necessary for the handle to be removable? Why not use the same piece of molded plastic to create both the basket and its handle? Nothing could loosen up in the scenario. It would be more durable and require much less upkeep.

I created a casing for the filter so that I could use this mineral sanitizing stick product on an Intex inflatable spa.You must purchase some PVC pipe. The spa's 1.5" coupler, which the filter housings attach onto, decreases to 1.25" in diameter.For the mineral stick's main housing, I used 1.25" pipe. Starting with a 1.5" by 90 degree elbow that gets smaller to 1.25" at the other end.I have a little piece of pipe that is 1.25 inches long (just a little bit longer than the filter) and connects to a 90-degree elbow at the bottom. The top and bottom elbows that connect to the 1.25" PVC pipe were sealed using PVC adhesive.To allow me to empty and reload it, it splits open in the middle and is only kept together by friction. Before fastening the rest of the adapter, you should first connect the 90-degree elbow.The Zodiac W20750 Nature2 SPA Stick Mineral Sanitizer is nearly half the price of this hot tub mineral sanitizer stick, and it maintains my hot tub water immaculate.I would like to recommend that the creator create a smaller Spa Mineral Sanitizer Stick that is 4.2" x 3.1" in size (10.6cm x 8.0cm). For anyone who owns an inflatable hot tub such as an Intex Pure Spa or Coleman SaluSpa as well as other inflatable spas, I believe it would be an even better alternative.

For years, I've used Amazon to buy replacement bulbs for my Sundance Spa. I purchase ClearRay products because I demand the highest caliber. In my most recent shipment, I received two bulbs, both of which were packaged in ClearRay boxes but were obviously wet. Both bulbs had green and brown rust covering the metal components. I'm returning these and placing another purchase (but via a different vendor this time). I've included images showing how the old bulbs now look and how they should appear.UPDATE: The items I ordered as replacement likewise had "rust" on them. I found out the following after conducting some research and speaking with a few vendors: "The adhesive between the glass and the end cap on certain Sundance products I've received looks unkempt, but it's brown in color. When I questioned Sundance about it, they claimed that the bulb was unaffected and that it was "normal.""

I was happy with my buy. Although we had a swimming cover on our in-ground pool, we had to give up our former bar. We attempted using a bar and other techniques before deciding to look into purchasing one. We picked this one because it resembled the ones in the YouTube videos we had watched that demonstrated how to remove the pool cover. We were still a little dubious. It came swiftly, and we used it right away. It appeared as though the metal at the bottom of the first few hooks (on the pool cover) was being chipped or lost. We noticed that this was actually some that had been left over in our pool's ridges. Once we figured it out after a few failed efforts (user error), we discovered that it was rather easy to move about and remove the lid. You essentially place it over the bolt and spin it around; however, it does not come with any instructions. You discover the best location after a few tries.

My pool is a very huge arc that surrounds the full front of the home with steps at both ends; without the backup valve from Polaris Systems, the Polaris cleaner gets stuck at either end right away.But the name-brand product (Polaris/Zodiac/etc.) is made to break, and it breaks pretty quickly: the internal gearing is driven by steel axles that only fit through tiny holes in the nylon shell; as a result, after six months of use, the main axle has eaten into the nylon and the axle sits askew, blocking the valve's function.When I initially opened one of these valves, I found it hard to believe that the axles were meant to run in the nylon shell. It's not simple to fix on your own, so I tried using a Dremel tool and some brass bushing from clocks, but this only worked well at one end of the axle.Due to the pool running all year in Hawaii, I've had to replace the backup valve twice a year (at a cost of $60–70 each). I did find ones for a little less money, but they were exact replicas that weren't quite as well manufactured and lasted even shorter.The axles run on brass bushings, ensuring that they will remain aligned and that the valve will continue to function. The bushings are firmly entrenched in the nylon shell, and the fit and finish are at least as good as those of the name brand original. After using this version for a few months, I pulled it out and checked for damage by opening it up. There was none! The only typical discoloration apart, it appears to be brand new. I got two since I couldn't go without one for very long, but it now appears that the extra will be stored in a cupboard for a while.

An O-ring, a plastic cap with a groove for the O-ring, a threaded ring, and instructions are all included in this package. Use it to seal off one end of your Intellichlor IC20 or IC40 by placing the O-ring in the cap and the cap in the threaded ring. The interior plates can then be cleaned by adding an acid solution at that point. Works perfectly. Is it too expensive? Absolutely, it is! Every Intellichlor unit needs to have it. However, you need it and they are aware of your need, so be prepared to spend almost $20. Just a reminder: handling muriatic (hydrochloric) acid can be dangerous. This material can seriously burn you. To prevent spills and splashes, move slowly and carefully. Long pants, a chemical apron, safety glasses, long nitrile gloves, and a water hose within reach and RUNNING in case you spill any on yourself are all recommended. If you get any on your skin, immediately saturate the area with water. It's time to remove off your clothes if you spill any on them, and then flood your skin with water from the hose. Once you're finished, I've discovered that neutralizing the acid solution with baking soda is the best way to get rid of it. However, hire a pro to help you the first time because the reaction can be somewhat erratic.

I have a degree in chemistry and am an expert in water chemistry. Over the past 20 years, I have used nature 2 (N-2) in swim spas and hot tubs. If you follow the instructions, shock your water to 5 ppm with tri-chlor granules at the N-2 installation, and it works great. Depending on water/tub usage, the N-2 lasts for anywhere between 4-6 months while allowing low levels of Cl residual (about drinking water levels of 0.5-1.5 ppm) to be maintained. I've assisted friends in getting rid of the skin rashes-causing bromine treatment plans from their hot tubs, and they haven't experienced any issues since. Additionally, there's no need to fiddle with the rod at the base of the cartridge, put it in your filter, or construct elaborate housings. It's simple to "install" and "replace"—just put it in your skimmer basket. After reading some of the negative reviews, I have a suspicion that the dark stain and other problems are due to poor/unbalanced water chemistry. Instead of using test strips, which are unreliable and result in low-quality water, I would strongly advise using a true water test kit like the Taylor K-2005. I regularly use N-2 in my current swim spa (2000 gallons), one cartridge in the skimmer basket, and a 1" di-chlor tablet floater that is barely open, and I anticipate good and balanced water quality if left unattended for at least one month. I've also used a hot tub at a ski house while it was in sleep mode, and the water quality was still outstanding after three months of being left alone.

The metal handle on this gave me pause because I didn't want to be hurt. To my amazement, the handle removes easily. I was able to use my fresh supply of pool socks (picture 4), and it is simple to lift the basket out thanks to the handle.It is the ideal swap for the standard Hayward pool skimmer. The bottom has reinforcements (X in images 2); it is constructed of the same material but is slightly thicker, elevating the basket just enough to prevent it from being trapped. The slight increase in height is not a problem, and I believe it is due to the sturdier construction of the basket.Overall, I'm happy that I received this basket. It performed better than anticipated.

These water bags are black, and I got them since I liked the color so much. The fact that two of the water bags were flawed bothered me. I was informed by a Buffalo Blizzard customer service agent that I would receive three of the 8-foot long black water bags to replace the two faulty 10-foot long black water bags. When I got the new bags and they were blue, I was really upset. The customer support representative informed me that they were out of black and wouldn't have any more for the remainder of the year. The water bags haven't experienced a northeastern winter, so that will be their true test.
