Another transformer that was reportedly installed many years ago is being replaced with this one. The previous one required frequent bulb changes and allowed the lights to remain on for the most of the day and night. So I placed the order, went to Home Depot, and discovered one for $20 less, so I returned it (it hadn't shipped yet), only to discover that the Home Depot model: 1) lacked a cover; and 2) featured an analog selection function.I attempted to cancel, but Amazon was moving too quickly! I therefore changed my order (sorry to the person who had to pack and then unpack the first one; this thing is heavy!This is so much better than the 300watt power pack sold at Home Depot that I'm so glad I reordered!1) An ALL-metal case with a snap cover for the controls (all retail versions I've seen have plastic cases; there is enough room to put a desiccant pack to keep ANY moisture out. shut-up plastic. The heat cycling of the transformer and the control board in a sealed container is one of the primary causes of these units wearing down over time. So, fingers crossed, I'm hoping that having an all-metal case will result in greater heat dissipation and longer life.2) Selector for analog functions. This is significant to me because the Malibu pack it is replacing only had a single button, requiring you to cycle between the functions (off/on/sensor/off after 2/4/6/8hrs) digitally. I had to remember to go outside and reselect since every time the power went out, it recycled back to off. If the power goes out, the knob will automatically return to the function I set because it is set to that function.3) A clock function. In full openness, I did not test to see if the clock resets if the power goes out, but I assume it does, which would force you to restart the clock after a power outage. However, because I don't intend to utilize the clock feature, it doesn't really matter to me. If you want the clock to be accurate, you must manually set the date forward or backward because there was no set date feature, which indicates that it also lacks logic for Daylight Savings time. I find the clock feature to be ridiculous. You might want to try the questions section if that matters to you. The idea of having the unit go off at an exact set time seems sort of absurd to me because the analog dial includes the typical sensor 4/ 6/ 8/ 10 settings that don't depend on the time on the clock being accurate.4) Heavy. For the same wattage, the transformer in this device is probably half as as hefty as the one it is replacing. That implies a substantial magnet inside the transformer, so I'm thinking that means it can produce the same amount of power without producing as much heat, further extending its lifespan.

For the past five years, I've owned the Malibu 200 watt low voltage transformer. It began malfunctioning around a month ago. neither the time nor the ON/OFF time could be set. I came here, perused the negative reviews, and decided it was damaged, so I purchased a replacement. something appeared suddenly. After reading the directions, I decided to use the old one first before installing the new one. Ta. Da. I repeatedly clicked the Reset button, cleared the webs from the camera's lens, and read instructions on how to set the timer and clock. And it functions flawlessly. I now have to return the new one. I'm okay with it, even if I have to pay the shipping costs.Press the red Reset button there if yours isn't functioning properly. Cleanse the image's eyes. Press and hold the white clock button, the up/down buttons, and the selector knob while setting the selector knob to CLOCK. Turn the selector knob to TIMER, then press and hold the TIMED ON or TIMED OFF buttons and the up/down buttons to set the ON/OFF timers. This will be noted on a card, which I'll tape inside the unit's door. Shame on me.I'm also switching the halogen bulbs in my landscape lighting for LED ones. The load on the transformer will be much reduced because they only consume 4w instead of 30w, and as a result, I anticipate that it will last practically forever. Instead of the 8 months I got out of the budget brand halogens, the bulbs last years as well.

It arrived quickly! The equipment, which replaced my 15-year-old transformer, was simple to set up and perform well. Due to the addition of LED lights and bulbs, the old transformer was not operating properly. I was able to reduce the overall wattage on the new transformer and greatly reduce the cost of the new transformer because all new lights are switching to LEDs, which use fewer watts. I switched from a system consuming more than 500 watts to one using less than 40 watts. Now, each one functions flawlessly.

Through Amazon, I bought three things. a sim card, a 12 volt power source, and a GSM gate control. I connected a remote clicker from the gate to the GSM gate control. I connected the gate clicker's pushbutton with two soldered wires. Eagle access controls were used on the gate system.By texting the Sim card's phone number, I was able to programme the GSM control. On a website, I set up the phone number and credit card costs. It's perfect for the gate to our church cemetery. You can set access hours and allow access by phone number. It details who opened the gate and when it occurred. Regular automatic gate timing was not interrupted.

Since I've owned it for roughly one and a half years, the transformer has performed well. Installing it wasn't that difficult. Our nine LED lawn lights are turned on and off by the device at predetermined times. It also reacts rather well when turned on at dusk, but occasionally cloudy or dark days can trick it. The only thing I've had trouble with is using the astronomical clock to arrange it so that it would always turn on at sunset. Because of the previously noted problem with cloudy days, this is preferable than using the light sensor, and it was a feature of this transformer that I really needed (and it is advertised as having it). Sadly, I have not been able to get that function in this transformer to operate well. I have other astronomical timers for other systems in my home that program quite well.
