MY LIFE HAS CHANGED DUE TO THE HAYWARD TRIVac. We had a pool near a lot of trees, and the nearby winds need constant sweeping, vacuuming, and netting. I've been able to genuinely unwind and enjoy the pool after installing the TVP500C Pressure Cleaner as opposed to seeing it as a burden. When we're not using it, this cleaner can survive in the pool because it runs solely on water pressure. Since it isn't powered by electricity, you won't need to drop a bulky tethered unit into the pool on a regular basis to clean it. When we leave the pool, I turn on ours, and it softly circulates the water like a Roomba. Any debris is quickly removed, and the pool is pristine. During the swimming season, I may empty the catch-bag once a week; but, when the leaves are falling, I may do so more frequently. We leave ours in the pool year-round unless we have guests here; I'm not sure how others utilize theirs. Could not be more pleased. I adore this.

I enjoy it. Have a single pump and motor power a 15' x 30' gunite pool with a 9' deep end. A fitting adaptor for my pressure-side return, which is situated halfway down the length of the pool, was sent with the Polaris 360. After a brief period of initial assembly and setup, I turned on the pump and started the Polaris. I did need to adjust the return's pressure, but I was able to do it by eyeballing the machine as it moved around the bottom. I skipped the RPM approach. It was quite simple to change the hose's length; I just had to cut off one portion to get the length that was ideal for my pool. The hose never ties or knots itself in any way. In Dallas, Texas, my pump operates for four hours every day, which is more than enough time for the Polaris to completely clear the bottom of the trash. All except the smallest dirt is picked up by it. The bag is a little difficult to clean when wet, but I bought a few extra zippered bags and merely switched them out while waiting for the current bag to dry, making cleaning easy. The bottom line is that you will be happy with this equipment if you spend some time fine-tuning the pressure, adjusting the vector nozzle, and adjusting the hose length.

Over the past two weeks, I've been researching pool cleaners. I had to ultimately buy a new Polaris 380 because my old one had developed enough cracks, breaks, and loss of cleaning power.Since I bought the house with the pool and the cleaner stayed with the house, I don't know how old Polaris 380 was. I'm assuming that was between the ages of 6 and 10. Without a doubt, it had succeeded in its goal.I had a natural desire to work with Polaris once more as a result. I didn't like the 380, despite the fact that it was still available. It seemed to be adequate, but it frequently became tangled in its own chord and became caught in corners. Despite the price difference, I decided it was time for a change.Naturally, I started with the first two Polaris 3900 reviews. One is owned by my neighbor, who has had it trouble-free for two years. When you visit Amazon.com, you'll see a startlingly high number of one-star reviews that make you extremely wary of the goods. More than half of the reviews are one stars, and they all share a common theme. They all comment on the construction quality and how often parts need to be replaced. Many of them mentioned how they spent $1000 on the device and $400 or more in repairs within the first two years. Even if you ignore every single review, the most common complaint was that the bag was poorly made and overpriced. Bags would be consumed by people in a maximum of a month and six months. This might very easily generate hundreds of dollars. Due to the durability of my prior unit, even while Polaris did seem like a brand I could rely on, this similarly designed Pentair Kreepy Krawley racer caught my attention.I had also written in-depth reviews on "Robotic pool cleaners." To start the robot, these need electricity. They really offer a cleaner on-demand experience as opposed to pressure pool cleaners, which are more of a "set and forget" type of experience. Since my pool already has the necessary capacity, pressure pool cleaners were substantially less expensive, and I could leave the device in my pool constantly if I so wished, I actually liked them. Since a robotic pool cleaner uses electricity to operate, nobody should be swimming in the pool at the same time as the robot if you decide to purchase one. The devices are typically roughly 25 pounds, so you also have to deal with dragging it outside, plugging it in, and remembering to take it out three hours later. Due to these factors, I choose to use the pressure side pool cleaner once more.Its primary selling point is that it is substantially more affordable than the competition. The mid-year incentives for both this model and its rival seem to make the purchase even more alluring. For this reason alone, I reasoned that I could buy two or even three of these whole units in the same one to two-year amount of time and be ahead of the game (even if one unit was terrible and broke as frequently as the other). So even if I had to replace everything fully, it would ultimately be a better bargain.Finally, the actual device. This calls for a booster pump. I'm still utilizing my 10-year-old Polaris's original booster pump. With this booster pump, it seems to work without a hitch. The tool has a pressure sensor that you can plug into a wall outlet to change the device's external pressure. My booster pump is still operating at its maximum capacity after ten years since it was configured to run at its highest level. You can reduce the machine's flow if you prefer a more leisurely cleaning experience. If you have a pool that allows the unit to climb walls but do not want it to, this is also very beneficial. Although the flow valve comes with an adapter made specifically for this machine, you can still use adapters from other brands, like Polaris.Scrubbing brushes are one of the first and most noticeable additions to this device. As long as your pool is not damaged, the bristles won't be too harsh. It is made of a rubberized substance and works well to clean the floor and walls. If you happen to be swimming too close to it, it won't rip your foot apart. It should be noted that the manufacturer does not advise using the unit while swimming in the pool.The object also has four wheels, as you can see. Compared to other three-wheeled models, I believe this provides the object more stability. Most significantly, the design mechanism causes the racer to go mostly forward and sporadically backward. As a result, it is highly useful for avoiding traps and rounding corners. Additionally, the four wheel design makes it simpler to climb up a wall and turn around when it temporarily looks to be stuck. The back wheels are only there for stability, whereas the two front wheels are the drive wheels.Notably, I tried using the sweeping tail, but for some reason it was causing the pool cleaner's back end to lift up and making it just a little bit unsteady. The sweeping tail would occasionally flip it on its side. The odd behavior stopped as soon as I removed the sleeping tail, which the instruction handbook advises most pools not to use.The racer's big entrance for sucking leaves, twigs, branches, and dirt into its enormous filter bag is the other thing you'll notice about it. The filter bag also contains a built-in flotation element that keeps the bag upright and ensures that all debris rises to the top. I believe that this element also increases the racer's steadiness. The dual bag design of the other models, such the Polaris 3900, is frequently criticized for causing the cleaner to tip over, spin eternally 360 degrees, break the bag apart, and spew its contents out at the bottom of your pool. The research suggests that this bag is of a high quality and has a sizable Velcro opening at the top. To make it simple to open and close, they even included two opening tabs that are sewed into the device.They gave you quite thorough installation instructions. I would have simply thrown the racer into the water if I hadn't read them first. Evidently, you should take some measures in your pool and cut the hose to the right length for the dimensions of your pool. Only around 1 foot of the hose's end was cut off for my application.The final component involves LED lights, which are more of a novelty than anything else. Even the instructions give the impression that you shouldn't worry or care too much if they don't function. They are blue LED indicators on the side of the unit and are powered by the wheel generator. I haven't used the unit at night, but during the day they were just barely visible. They won't give you much light, but there will be enough for the dog to chase after in the pitch-black night.The cleaning capacity comes last and is the most significant. My pool was completely clean after just a few hours of use. What would have taken my Polaris 380 days to complete took the racer only a few hours. I did need to make a few minor tweaks to the water jet output, but after I did, it seemed to easily reach every area of the pool. It appeared to easily remove all the sand, dirt, and debris. Its suction was still able to lift leaves off the bottom of the pool even though it was only half floating above the water.The only test I haven't passed is the one involving time. It has pleased me so much that on the first day of use, I felt compelled to give the product a review. If the racer proves to be a high-quality item that can be relied upon for many years, I will be happy to update my evaluation.

Despite not having a pool or spa, the well water where I reside has a high mineral concentration. Our toilet, shower head, sink fittings, and fish pond heater become clogged by the calcium's formation of rock-hard deposits. I've tried several different products, but nothing eliminates that build-up as effectively as this one does. When I spray this on, the calcium deposits disappear and turn into a paste that is easily removed by rinsing. I might need to use it several times in quick succession for really thick deposits, but it consistently eliminates all traces of buildup with almost any effort on my side. I truly value that it's environmentally friendly because I take care to never use hazardous products in our house. I can't comment for other applications, but for our needs, it fulfills them completely. Very content.

This product is amazingly excellent. The major landscaping is 94% complete, and I recently erected a 15' x 30' "Oval" above-ground pool in my fairly sloped side yard. We decided to utilize a salt water chlorine generator because our acreage is densely forested and has a lot of flying insects.The majority of what other reviewers have mentioned about this product is accurate, particularly in regards to the owner's manual's dearth of useful information. Fortunately, you don't require much more. This little guy will do the job as long as you can accomplish the installation of the twist-lock fitting to the interior of your return jet and as long as you have a strong enough pump/filter combo (mine is 1.5 hp with a 200lb sand filter).In almost two hours, he thoroughly cleans the entire bottom area and the majority of the sidewalls of our (to me) enormous pool.A few days ago, my wife's son-in-law dropped a contact lens in the pool, and she suggested that we let "Turbo" locate it. Sure enough, my nine-year-old granddaughter found a "bubble" in the catch-bag within an hour. a contact lens intact and functional.Even while you need to be a "gadget" person to truly appreciate this, if you're not, why on earth do you even have an above-ground pool? With the salt/chlorine generator and the fact that my grandchildren adore swimming in it, this pool is incredibly simple to keep clean. YMMV.

For my new home, I bought a Polaris 3900 in August 2017. For almost a year, there was a problem: the cleaner was slow, kept getting stuck, the backup valve did nothing, and the tail didn't sweep. These problems all existed on day one, right out of the box. I was prepared to give this item a ONE STAR rating and return it back to Polaris since I detested it. After spending hours troubleshooting, spending $400 on a new pump, going back to the pool store for warranty repair, etc., etc., and doing a lot of web research, I finally attempted a replacement quick disconnect, and Bravo! It now functions as intended. In retrospect, it should have been evident that the quick disconnect's pressure relief valve was faulty because, when it was running, the original pressure valve was releasing an excessive amount of water at the disconnect. The new one prevents water from leaking out and allows pressure to be applied to the wheels, tail sweep, and backup valve. Now that it's working, it's wonderful! Purchase a new fast disconnect with pressure relief valve for less than $15 if you are experiencing the same performance issues. I'm hoping that this will be useful to others. Try it. The Polaris Vac-Sweep 3900 is excellent today. By the way, Polaris offers top-notch customer service.

I was really disappointed when I first installed this device because the Polaris sweep continued to tangle as usual. I intended to request a return straight away by contacting Amazon.BUT it seemed like such a good idea that I thought about purchasing another set, but $30 MORE?!!Cleaner Clip advises eight per 20 feet of hose.I have a hose that is maybe 17 feet long, yet it is still knotted.Then I began fiddling with the hose's position between the floats and the backup valve.After a few position changes, lo and behold, IT WORKS and WORKS WELL.Product delivers on its promise; my Polaris Sweep no longer has hose tangling.After ten days of observation, there are still no tangles.It will only take a few days to determine the proper location for the clamps on the hose.Additionally, I believe Cleaner Clip ought should price $35 and offer 10 clips every SKU rather than just 8.

Totally adore it. Due to the several negative reviews, I was initially apprehensive, but after using my own judgment and viewing a few YouTube videos, I made up my mind to purchase one. I cherished the fact that it uses the return jet rather than the skimmer for power. What a benefit! You don't need to be concerned if your pool lacks skimming capability. Instead of "vacuuming," the real bottom bag employs two water jets to move about on the floor and force debris into the bag. The Jets' constant pushing prevents the debris from escaping the bag. The jets are excellent in moving chemicals around and recirculating the water at the pool's bottom. Any silt that the bag doesn't manage to collect is forced into the water circulation, where it is removed from your pool by the normal filter skimmer. It's comparable to having swimmers in your pool all the time churning up any silt that needs to be filtered. I almost paid double when I had an aquabot before. It is extremely annoying to pull the bags out of the Aquabot, open the top, and clean them. I assure you that it is annoying. Additionally, the Aquabots suction is only as wide as a 2 by 2 inch square region on the bottom of the robot. This creature doesn't even need to be pulled out of the water. Simply take it, release the hanging hose, remove the bag, flip it over, rinse, and reattach. It's a lot simpler. Never before has my pool been cleaner. I believe that some of the unfavorable evaluations are the result of users who may not have properly trimmed the hose or who neglected to check the filters in the apparatus. To suit your pool, you MUST cut BOTH hoses. A hose winding up will undoubtedly result from using a hose that is too lengthy in the pool. If you use a sand filter, sand can get into the metal filter at the end of the hose and slow down the machine. Never take off the metal filter completely. Sand cannot enter a secondary filter as a result. You cannot access the secondary filter without opening the Polaris casing, which is located inside the pump mechanism. According to what I've heard, if this filter contains sand, the Polaris may favor one side of the pool over the other, which could result in the hose coiling. Additionally, a damaged O-ring seal on the Polaris pump's internal housing or a fractured housing can cause the pump to favor one side and coil the hose. Mechanical devices cannot be expected to function indefinitely if you lack the technical know-how to fix or maintain them. Plastics and o-rings are highly vulnerable to chlorine. As long as I own a pool, I'll keep using this particular pool vacuum. It's wonderful. Another fantastic benefit of this kind of method is that it endures no matter how much items you accumulate in the bag. Because.... The Polaris filter becoming clogged does not slow down the water that is sprayed into the bag or the water that moves the Polaris unit. Only when your primary sand or D.E. filter becomes blocked and loses pressure does it start to lose pressure. When the filters on the Aquabot robots become clogged, the robots begin to move slowly, eventually coming to a complete stop. really sad Another reason why the hose coils up is that people don't push the connector all the way into one of the hose's ring grooves after cutting the hose to the right length for the pool. If they do, the hose won't be able to turn freely inside the threaded adapter, which will eventually bind up and coil the hose. For reference, my pool has a diameter of 21 feet. After my Aquabot died, there was a ton of trash and bugs that had gathered at the bottom of my pool over a period of time. The Polaris cleaned the entire bottom flawlessly in a matter of hours. The Jets on the sweeper helped stir up any silt on the bottom within a day and a half after applying some blue pool clarifier, and my pool is now absolutely clear. No additional vacuuming from any other apparatus. Just one brushing is necessary to remove sidewall dirt. There is hardly any silt on the pool's bottom. Try this thing out.
