This is my third attempt at a USB reading lamp. I watch television with my wife while working on my laptop. She dislikes having a light on behind us, which makes it difficult to see the keyboard.The initial lamp had two lighting levels and an on/off button, but with only two LEDs, it did not provide very good keyboard illumination. I thus purchased another one with eight LEDs. That one had a longer light bar and did a decent job of lighting the keyboard, but it lacked an on/off button, so I had to plug and unplug it whenever I wasn't going to use the light for a while.This one combines the greatest features of both. A touch-sensitive switch controls the lighting, cycling through three settings before turning off. The 14 LEDs are set up in a bar-like arrangement to provide good projection across the width of the keyboard. The "goose-neck" connecting the USB plug to the lamp head is solid and doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon.

Before buying this book light, I had tried using two others. One was worthless, and the other was fantastic until it broke down soon after I bought it. This one I bought is fantastic thus far!It's bigger than what I was looking for at first, but it's still light enough to easily clip where I like it next to my bed. If you find that beneficial, it can also stand on its own as a table light. Although the "button" is rather sensitive, which can occasionally be unpleasant, the three brightness levels are excellent. At night, I've been using the lowest setting, and it's bright enough without being oppressive or casting strange glares on my book pages. There is no need to "sweep" it back and forth because the lamp's neck bends and stays in the desired location while brilliantly lighting both pages (which was an issue for me with previous lights).This is well worth the purchase and gets five stars as long as it lasts, which I'm hoping it will do given the charger cord that came with it.

This tiny light is really cute! This light has been a terrific addition to my home office because I work the night shift. I provide customer support from home, and I usually prefer to work in a dark setting. I did not have a simple way to light up my notepad and keyboard, but I do need a little light to see them. Bright and with a very useful bending body that you can shape as you wish, this light is great. The body is really well-built, holding whatever position or angle you give it with ease. Additionally, switching it on or off is as simple as tapping the light bar's end.To increase its reach as it usually just plugs directly into a USB port on a computer or a charging socket, I attached a USB extension cord to it. I can position the extension on the opposite end of the desk from my PC tower thanks to the extender. An great small light for a home office, for sure.

Although they may all seem the same, USB light sticks are different.We initially paid over $4 for one from an electronics big box store. For what we needed, the light was excessively bluish and almost fluorescent in appearance. The "shade" cover fell out and had to be put back in because it was stiff. So we went on to get two from a well-known online retailer. Although the light was excessively yellowish, the chip lights inside were bigger than the ones from the big box retailer. When the covers were removed, soldered wires could be seen inside of both types.The set of eight was then purchased from Amazon. They all operate. Compared to the others we tried, they are more adaptable. All of the colored ones we have are a good bright white that isn't overly blue. In comparison to the other pieces in the set, the black one has a different light hue that I would describe as medium white, but it isn't yellow. After removing the "shade" cover, I discovered that there are no wires inside the lamps—just the neatly organized light chips.We intended to illuminate a tiny figure inside a glass and wood lantern. We screwed a bracket onto the top and attached one of the bright lights there. Then, we connected it to a USB wall outlet adaptor using a USB extension wire. What a simple approach to illuminate a display with little heat and little voltage. Perfect brightness and hue of light.

My 7-year-old daughter adores reading. Since it's winter in Michigan and we spend a lot of time in the car, it gets dark early. She had a small AA Mag Light for reading, but she was reading so much that it made me feel awful for her because she had to hold the flashlight in one hand while maintaining the pages open with the other. I made the decision to browse Amazon's selection of car reading lights. The choice did not impress me, so I created my own using the components in the photo attached, and it works perfectly!Although the light has two settings, the lowest one is adequate. The fact that the light is situated on the back of the back seat, looking backward, prevents me from being distracted when I'm driving. Additionally, because of its limited power, it only illuminates a small portion of her book and not the entire automobile.What I did was this:The organizer was fastened to the back of the passenger seat. That wasn't anything new because I've loved and used these for years.- After that, I inserted the 12V to USB adaptor into my electrical socket. I don't have to worry about leaving the light on and dreading that it would drain my battery because my power outlet shuts off when the key is turned off.- I plugged in the USB extension cord and ran it up to the top of the organizer and under the seat.- After that, I turned on the light. The organizer's top strap secures it while the gooseneck light enables it to flex where she wants it to.

If he had access to a time machine that could transport back plastic, LEDs, and lithium batteries that could be charged by USB, a 19th century farm lad could have easily created it.Pulling up the handle turns the light on, and pressing it all the way down turns it off. Compared to a high-tech lamp, it operates more like a pump! The light is dimmed and brightened by lowering and raising the handle, respectively, although the LEDs' brightness remains constant. Simply raising and lowering the handle causes the LEDs to rise and fall, illuminating only the bottom of the light in low light and the full light in high light. It has a smart, low-tech design.The handle's top is where the USB charging connector is located. A red light in the port glows when it is charging. Red turns to blue when it is completely charged.The light is pleasing on its own. Not a flashlight, this. Compared to many LED lights, it has a gentle glow that is far more appealing.
