These are a fantastic replacement for my 3M Macbook Pro privacy filter's worn-out adhesive strips, as the product's name implies. I had put it in and taken it out so many times that the initial glue simply failed. After thoroughly cleaning the laptop screen and the privacy filter, carefully separate the clear backing from the blue adhesive backing. I made a mistake when I tried to separate the blue backing from the bigger transparent strip since that caused the adhesive strip to remain on the original backing rather than the blue backing that is meant for installation. If you simply pay attention to it, it should be simple to avoid. These fresh strips have held up admirably thus far.

After using the computer for more than an hour at a time, I observed decreased eye discomfort, therefore I believe the blue light filter is functioning. I've just had it for a day. It might be a placebo effect, but I'll keep using it and post when I know more.The glare on these displays is really, incredibly obvious, so if you have a light or a window behind you, your computer screen will appear to be a mirror. This is one drawback of these filters. Currently, I only use it at night or in dimly lit spaces, but a matte finish for them would have been good (funny because I go out of my way to buy matte LCD screens due to the glossy displays giving me headaches). I suppose if they really filter out the damaging blue light then it is worth it, but I think this would be a far better product if it also reduced rather than contributed to screen glare.Update: After using it for close to a year, I can say that overall, the headaches and eye strain brought on by gazing at a computer screen all day have been greatly diminished. As I type this, I can see my fingers in the screen protector's reflection, and it is nighttime. I still wish they had a matte version of the screen protector.

There isn't really a proper way to evaluate these. I got them with the intention of using the slides on my screen, but they were incredibly inflexible. They didn't function at all when I tried to slide my privacy screen into the slides because they kept falling out. I'm not sure if that is a problem with my screen or computer, a property of the plastic slide pieces, or a real issue in the product.I chose to use the transparent stickers in the end and am pleased with how well they are doing.
