ECOTRIC Foldable Pick Up Truck Bed Hitch Extender Extension Rack Canoe Boat Kayak Lumber w/Flag Review:

We bought this item so we could transport our canoe in the bed of our pickup. When we swapped in the truck that was holding the canoe, we discovered that the previous rack system didn't fit the new truck. Since we believed it could be simpler to load and unload the canoe, we made the decision to hunt for a bed extender. To be able to detach it from the hitch and lock it inside the truck when we're parked, we decided to invest additional money on the latest fold-up version of this bed extender. It came swiftly and assembled without any difficulty. Although we haven't had a chance to transport the canoe down the road, we have tested the setup in the driveway, and it appears that everything will function as it should. We'll update our evaluation if we discover something different.

Dee Zee DZ43102 Truck Tailgate Assist, Black Review:

adore it It performs just as I had planned. The shock engages and slows the tailgate's descent to a lovely, gentle stop once it has fallen roughly one-third of the way free.It wasn't too difficult to install, but it was really challenging to install the thread insert. I had to clamp it with a vice to prevent it from spinning as I tried to hold the allen wrench and turn the other wrench. Despite my best efforts to follow the instructions, I was unable to make it function as intended. If you want to choose a flaw, the shock mounting plates are each held in place by a single bolt, which means that when they are used, they will likely rotate back and forth. It will be important to keep an eye on that and tighten the bolts as necessary because I believe over time it will loosen and wear off the paint underneath. You should be finished in around 5 minutes if the installation proceeded without a hitch.

Erickson 07605 Pick-Up bed Extender (Big Bed Junior, 350 lb. rated) Review:

purchased this to transport lumber in my vehicle. Although a 6 foot bed is not short, I believe 12 foot lumber is a little too lengthy to transport securely. This holds the lumber up about 4 feet from the end of the bed. It can also be flipped over and utilized with a roof rack, but then your tailgate cannot be opened. With the help of five pinholes, the height may be adjusted by around 10" to make it level with your bed.Although they have a lovely, textured powder coat finish, the inside is not covered, thus they could eventually rust. Right out of the box, mine was rusty on the inside.Although tube steel is light enough to be easily handled, it is thick enough to give the impression that it will be robust enough to support the 350lb rating. It doesn't take up much room when it's destroyed. When not filled and strapped down, the components do have some slack and wobble a little bit. However, once loaded and secured, the wobbling is eliminated.Be aware that filling your vehicle or truck with a few hundred pounds cantilevered far back will cause your rear suspension to squat much more than the same weight inside the car or bed. When the rear suspension is overloaded, the front suspension is underloaded, which limits steering and braking. Pickup trucks are less of a threat than soft-suspension automobiles and jeeps. Be careful when you're outside.

AMP Research 74813-01A Black BedXTender HD Max Truck Bed Extender Review:

The bed cover for my 2018 F-150 Sport has a BAK X4 revolver. Because this bed cover is pricey, I wanted to include a feature that would prevent items I place within my bed from sliding all the way to the cab, forcing me to roll the top open in order to access them. The Amp Research bed extender is really well constructed, but if your bed cover has side rails that extend into the bed, you won't be able to flip the bed extender over as easy as someone without any obstructions. To make the bed cover on my truck easy to remove, Amp Research charged an additional $88.00 for parts. If your truck is wide open, that could be a concern since someone could steal it. When I lock the truck, the gate locks, making it impossible to see or remove the bed extension. The first problem I encountered was when I requested black but received grey. n Even though the box is identified as being black and that is what Amp Research did, they won't assist you with it. Instead, they advised me to exchange the item with Amazon. I called Amazon and spoke with them for a while, alerting them to the mis-marked boxes and asking them to make sure they are sending me a black bed extension. Amazon did that quickly and effortlessly, but I was worried I might receive another box listed as black and receive another grey. The additional parts I required were incorrectly marked in the directions, which was the next problem. It was obvious that the placement of the pieces according to the instructions was proper, which was in direct opposition to how the parts were labeled. Overall, it looks fine now that it's installed. I docked one rating because of two problems that had to do with Amp Research's quality control rather than Amazon. It makes a wonderful accent to your truck after it is fitted.

AMP Research 74608-01A Quick Mount Bracket Kit (BedXTender HD) Review:

This original mounting hardware for AMP BedXtender HD's is really simple. I moved the real Xtender from my old vehicle to the new one, but I forgot to remove the brackets, so I bought a new set. The prior set appeared to be made of a "harder" substance, but this set actually chipped material off when it was scratched by the driver tip (thus the 4-star rating). But there was nothing that diminished the mount's usefulness. The mounting template needed to be found and downloaded online because it was not included with the shipment. Overall, it is almost identical to the BedXtender's mounting bracket and produces a similar result.

ECOTRIC Pick Up Truck Bed Hitch Extender Extension Rack Canoe Boat Kayak Lumber w/Flag Review:

To transport a kayak in a Ranger, I purchased this. This extension is really fantastic. very durable I stood on the end of it when I initially got it and bounced around without any problems. It had no issues with me being harsh on it despite the fact that I am a big man (the term is cornfed). incredibly easy to load and unload the kayak. I hauled a 15 and have a heavy 12 foot. I have no issues with either. Could transport 16-foot timber in it; although, I'm not of how much the truck CG would appreciate it. Nevertheless, I'm positive that this would do so.Taking the kayak in and out is causing a small amount of paint on the bar to rub off. I don't think it's a big concern; it's just regular wear from everyday use. If you're salwater fishing, there might be a problem, but it's nothing some paint couldn't cure. The tiny flag they give you is also fairly inexpensive. Even though it has traveled hundreds of miles, it is beginning to show its age.Definitely, I would advise doing this. I've been questioned about it by several strangers.

MaxxHaul 70231 Hitch Mount Truck Bed Extender (For Ladder, Rack, Canoe, Kayak, Long Pipes and Lumber) Review:

Excellent value for the price I paid for this truck bed extender. There is no way my kayak, which is around 13 feet long, would fit in the bed of my short-bed truck.I chose MaxxHaul after doing extensive research, and I have been really delighted with them for the past four months.SturdySimple to installSimple to dismantleafter extensive use and weather, did not corrode at all.Exactly what I needed for my factory hitchIt is without a doubt something I would advise to anyone wishing to lengthen their vehicle bed.

Goplus Pick up Truck Bed Hitch Extender Adjustable Extension Rack w/Flag for Ladder, Rack, Canoe, Kayak, Long Pipes and Lumber (Black) Review:

Functions as intended! Lightweight, simple to put together, and supports my kayak with no issues. Definitely would buy it again if necessary. The only drawback I can think of is that the area that supports the kayak itself needs some kind of substantial padding (bottom and sides). By doing this, you can prevent scratching or other harm to the object you are holding. In order to raise the end support, I would also like to extend the Y base by six inches. All is well.

AMP Research 74605-01A BedXTender HD Quick Latch Bracket Kit (for use with Tonneau Covers and Shells) Review:

These components replace the components that are included with the bed extender. Instead of the usual socket where you angel the bed extender and set it into the holder, they have a lever that will release the bed extender. You can easily flip the bed extension from one side to the other in an open, standard vehicle bed. That is not possible with some bed covers, such as mine, because a track that gets in the way is a part of my BAK X4 Revolver roll-up cover. In order for it to clear some tracks, I purchased this part as well as the other part that lifts it or the regular portion that comes with the bed extender. Both of these parts do not require drilling. The installation instructions are a little lacking, but if you concentrate on them long enough, you should be able to do it. Therefore, keep in mind that these can replace the bed extender's included components, but there is another component to which these can mount to allow you to slightly expand them and provide a rapid release. Although you can oil the part that locks into this section, it might be a little easier to remove. I didn't find it to be that rapid. You should look for my evaluation of using that part if you need clearance from the sides of the truck bed, typically due to a bed cover. That other part that they can mount to doesn't require drilling. Due of the difficulties in removing the bed extension from them, I only rated them four stars.

Dodge Ram Black Aluminum Tailgate Bed Extender Mopar OEM by Mopar Review:

This is the second time I've bought this product. My first was under a different brand name (AMP) and silver, but otherwise it had the exact same design, and it was for my 2013 RAM 1500. Installation was simple, especially for my brand-new 2018 RAM 1500 crew cab with a 5'7" bed because the screw-holding brackets' indents are already present. Works as intended and is simple to uninstall. To prevent it from bouncing up while you're driving, make sure the straps are fastened into the latches on the tailgate before using it with the tailgate down. Although it's not heavy, it's nicely made and has a good design. Just don't count on it to keep your ATV in place if you didn't lock it in the bed. Also matched my bed cover well.
