Most toilets are made of porcelain and are very heavy. They are usually bolted to the floor to keep them from tipping over. However, there are also toilets made of lighter materials, such as plastic, that are not as heavy and do not need to be bolted to the floor.
If you have a back to wall toilet, you may not need a frame. However, if you have a floor mounted toilet, you will need a frame to support the toilet.
If you are able, you can transfer from your wheelchair to the toilet by yourself. To do this, position your wheelchair next to the toilet so that you are facing the toilet seat. Then, use your arms to lift yourself up and over onto the toilet seat. You may need to use a grab bar to help you transfer. If you are unable to transfer by yourself, you will need help from a caregiver.
A toilet seat frame is a great way to add support to your toilet seat. It can help to keep your seat from wobbling and can also help to prevent your seat from breaking. To use a toilet seat frame, simply place it on the floor next to your toilet. Then, put your toilet seat on top of the frame and screw it in place. That's it! Your seat will now be much more stable and you won't have to worry about it breaking.

Fantastic product! purchased this for my father, who is 80 years old and has Parkinson's disease. It was quite simple for me to put together, and I had no trouble installing it. We were very pleased to see how well it mounted WITHOUT needing to be attached to the toilet! We were quite happy with that because I had read other reviews where people had actually ruined their toilet tanks while using other styles. Mom had no issues with the width and even enjoys the additional support it offers; Dad may have been unable to use it because of his recent weight loss or because it was too small for him. Even with a riser seat, the device fits perfectly on their toilet. Getting one of the numerous other designs with the "feet" that stick out in front of the toilet made me quite nervous! They would have needed to go around or over those obstacles. I was glad to find this fashion because it is not safe when a person is vulnerable. I adore the security it gives them, and they adore it too! A SUPERB PRODUCT!

My life was purposefully made to be terribly dull before the trees fell in May. Five large older males almost missed scoring a home run. They terrified the lifeblood out of us. The descent flung up its arms and gave me more opportunities. At the end of September, the worst happened. My assignment on the rehab ward from September to November was the first time I had ever seen any of these devices, let alone utilized any of them. The most of them, if not all of them, are transient and have an unknown termination date.I'll keep it short and just mention that this Aid has been the most successful so far. No close calls. Doing what comes naturally without aid. I provide you with a wealth of perspectives to address any queries you may have. I really enjoy completing your blanks.

After my ankle surgery, we purchased the OasisSpace Stand Alone Toilet Safety Rail for a small powder room and attached rails for a complete bathroom. We decided to try the standalone rails since we were worried we could damage the toilet by attempting to remove the very firmly glued covers on the toilet in the powder room.Because the walls on each side of the toilet are close together, I can live with the Stand Alone Rails not being as stable as rails that attach to the toilet. (I am 63 years old, 5'1", and 125 pounds.) When utilizing the rails, I take care to press down rather than out, and when switching to or from the walker (with the brakes engaged), I balance myself on my good foot.Simply take them out of the packing and set them up; assembly is not necessary. It's simple to change the height to your preference.

Before having knee surgery, I installed these on every toilet in my house since I thought it would be difficult for me to get "on and off." I was SO pleased that I had these placed after my operation. I was able to stand up from where I was sitting thanks to them. If not, I would not have been able to stand up for myself.I took them out once I was feeling better. They are quite simple to set up and take down. None of the problems with the foam sliding down, twisting, or tearing off that some reviewers have complained occurred to me. Despite being used consistently for three months, the foam was in flawless shape and did not shift at all. I heartily endorse this item.

I have 34" of inseam and am 5'11", and in the past year, both of my knees have developed significant arthritis. Along with using leg-strengthening equipment at the gym, I've been performing a lot of physical therapy exercises. I can now get up from a low chair, but I can't get up from a low toilet! At home, I have risers, a big handle unit, and my master bathroom has a comfort height toilet that I can easily get off of. But the toilet in my guest bathroom is old and low-rise. Additionally, I intend to leave the nation. I therefore believed that this appeared to be something I could bring in my suitcase and utilize at the hotels I will be staying at. Just received it today. I was able to right-angle the rear bar connectors so they don't need to be secured. They may also be entirely taken away. Since the front cross bar is so sturdy, it bears the majority of your weight as you ascend. Consequently, after some practice, it works incredibly well! I can stand up, and it is safely secured on the toilet. My ancient toilet is circular, and the front bar crosses the porcelain there solidly. Don't bring a screwdriver because it can be completely completed and fit in a 26" suitcase! I'm really glad about this!

I really like the toilet bars, and assembling them was easy and required no equipment. It was simple. My gender and the fact that I'm not mechanical speaks a lot. The toilet bars fit perfectly with my standard round toilet seat, and I appreciate that they don't have big legs that stick out from the floor. Because the bars are not particularly wide, I think they were made for people of ordinary size, yet my injured spouse and I fit just well. I'm happy to suggest it.

I'm not yet 50, but getting older is a misery since getting up from the toilet was getting harder and more painful because of the L3-L4-L4-L5 spinal fusion and the arthritis in my hips and spine. Because of the handrails, I tried to use the handicap stall when I was out and about. Until my wife visited a friend whose elderly parent had one installed on their home's toilet, I had never even considered installing something similar in my own home. They didn't arrive with any instructions, but putting them together doesn't require rocket science. Just wait to assemble everything until you've installed the plate onto the back of the toilet, which requires taking out the seat and lid and replacing them with the toilet. Keep the image until you are finished because there is truly only one way the component can go together.

Instructions depict many pieces that are not included in the delivery. The four 15 degree tubes have no holes to even fit together, and the rubber boots don't fit the bottom of any of them, so I can't even weld them together. Show me where in the instructions you see where they are used.It was simple to assemble and install, and although other people have complained that it isn't anchored or rock firm, come on folks, it's good enough to hold you. Update: Amazon sent me a replacement one with the necessary pieces, and we are now cooking baby.

The distance between the tank and the seat bothered me. Too little space existed for the bracket to be mounted. I'm not devaluing the frame as a result of this because this toilet is really a little rare in this regard, but it might be a good idea to verify your toilet's clearance before you buy this item. In the end, I did replace the toilet, but not solely because of the frame; rather, I did so because I had never been satisfied with it, and learning that the frame wouldn't fit gave me the motivation to purchase a new toilet with a frame that did fit! Although the frame is a touch unstable, I still rated it four stars because I am confident it is safe to use and will last for many years. Since the seat is fastened to the frame with the same bolts that hold the seat in place and there is no further lateral support, there is really no way to prevent it from swaying. The one that uses it and likes it is my wife.
There is no definitive answer to how high a toilet grab rail should be, as it depends on the individual's needs. However, as a general guide, the rail should be installed at a height that allows the user to comfortably reach it while seated on the toilet.
There is no definitive answer to how long a grab bar should be next to a toilet, as it will depend on the individual's needs. However, a good rule of thumb is to have a grab bar that is at least 18 inches long. This will provide ample support for most people when getting on and off the toilet.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) recommends having at least one grab bar in a bathroom, but ideally, you should have two or more. Grab bars provide stability and support for people who have difficulty standing or sitting up. They can be installed near the toilet, shower, tub, or sink.
If your tile floor is level, then the toilet flange should sit on top of the tile. If the tile floor is not level, then the toilet flange should be level with the highest tile.
The great toilet lid debate: should it stay up or down? There are two schools of thought on this matter. Some say that it is more sanitary to leave the lid up because it allows the bowl to air out and prevents bacteria from accumulating. They also argue that when the lid is down, it is more likely for germs to be splattered onto the lid and then transferred to your hands when you flush. Others say that it is more sanitary to keep the lid down because it prevents germs from escaping the bowl and contaminating the bathroom. They also argue that when the
A toilet frame is a support structure that helps to hold a toilet in place. It is typically made of metal or plastic and is attached to the floor and the toilet bowl. The frame helps to keep the toilet stable and prevents it from tipping over.
