You will truly value this toolset if you are a petite woman like myself. Although several reviews said that parents had given their children these toys to play with, I sincerely hope they were joking. NOT for use by kids is this tool kit. The equipment is razor-sharp, and the hammer, when used as any other hammer, can cause significant harm. In any case, I build little furniture pieces and hang things using the tools. I detest walking into the garage in the vain expectation that my spouse will have re-stowed the hammer in the same drawer. I find this equipment to be highly portable and lightweight.Edit: The magnet in the screwdriver slipped out after approximately a year of use. I sent the seller a message asking if there was any way to acquire a replacement magnet, but I never got a response. Then one day a parcel containing a whole new kit arrived at my door! My initial rating was four stars since I simply used another bag after my first case failed to close. But this new case really closes, and all the equipment appears to remain in place. I appreciate the assistance. Love my pink tools still (and now my husband is using them).

For those who don't already know, these are long pattern wrenches, which implies that they are considerably longer than the ordinary wrench. These wrenches are perhaps 20–30% longer than Craftsman wrenches, if that makes sense. I've had a set of long pattern Stanley wrenches for a while, and I've always thought they were the best wrenches I've ever owned, but over the past 15 years or so, some of them have either vanished or simply developed legs and moved on. The only difference between these and the Stanley wrenches is that these have a bright polished chrome finish as opposed to the Stanleys' satin finish. With one significant exception, every aspect of these wrenches closely resembles the original, high-quality Stanleys. The Dewalt updates them with the ASD (Anti-Slip Design), which is similar to the Proto wrenches ASD, on the open end (see photo comparing Proto to Dewalt). Not a surprise, given that both are Stanley-owned businesses. For a home hobbyist quality wrench, the broaching on these wrenches is above average, or at least the set I have demonstrates to have extremely cleanly cut open end jaws, minimal faults to the broaching, and well defined closed end.The fit is very similar to that of the Proto, which is not too loose but also not too tight (some high end wrenches are a little on the snug side, but Proto seems to be an exception there in my experience). Because of how the ASD operates, you don't actually need to clamp the bolt tightly; in fact, doing so can make the wrench less effective. The rounded central piece of the jaw contacts the bolt more in the middle when you turn the wrench as opposed to a corner, tightening the grip on the bolt. The box end fits onto bolts that may have minor corner damage without much difficulty and is neither loose nor particularly tight. The Protos have far less of an offset bend to the open end than the Dewalts—possibly half as much—and the beam is thicker on the Protos. This is the only real distinction I can discern between them (apart from surface treatment; matte vs. polished). However, the Dewalts' offset angle and beam thickness are both the same as the Stanleys' (at least to the extent of how they feel).Even though the case has a lot of empty area, it is still nice. The dead space is just a result of creating a universal sized box to accommodate many different tool kits, but I can see it being a very good method for the typical homeowner to store tools that are used around the house occasionally. The lid is a little challenging to open, but perhaps with use that will become easier.I rated these five stars because, at this price range, they are simply one of the greatest sets of wrenches available from 10 to 17 mm. Other wrenches that I have include various Proto wrenches with the ASD (in SAE rather than metric). In terms of anti-slip, the Dewalts and Proto are almost identical. The wrench's beam is a tiny bit bigger and thinner than Proto's, but it is the same length as Proto's long pattern. The only drawback to these wrenches, in my opinion, is that Dewalt only offers them in this kit with case or in a kit with a holder that includes two additional wrenches, making it impossible to complete a set with singles (18 and 19mm). I find that I use the 8mm rather frequently because my initial Stanley set ran all the way down to 8mm. Fortunately, my Stanley set's 8 and 9mm rounds have not vanished and they go well with these DeWalts until they realize they need to steal more of my money by providing a wider choice of sizes. I therefore give the set 5 stars, but I deduct 3 stars from Dewalt's management for not offering a wider variety of sizes. I would be the first in line to spend an additional $30 if they developed an add-on case to expand this set in a different box by incorporating a 6, 7, 8, and 9mm in addition to an 18 and 19mm. Why not? These boxes are beautiful and allow for add-on creation.UPDATE: I've discovered that you can buy the other sizes separately, but they are quite difficult to locate. In case one ever lost a wrench and needed a replacement, they are offered individually in the following sizes: 7, 8, 9, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22mm. They are also offered with all the sizes that are included in the kit. It's unfortunate that they aren't simply accessible. You have to look for them a lot.

The finish on a socket set can reveal a lot about how cheap it is. A company's sockets are likely to be subpar if it doesn't take the time to make the finish and lettering appear nice. But the machining is on pace with any of the more expensive domestic brands, and they are nicely polished with good attention to detail. Even the blue plastic box's construction surpassed my expectations. Because it was made for frequent use rather than just making sure it lasts until you get them, I will really be able to keep the sockets in this box at work.I used to be a devoted buyer of higher-end name-brand tools. The REXBETI ratchet wrench set is a powerful, sturdy collection of tools that cannot be compared to any major brand. I require a blown mold case, and I have not been able to locate another brand that makes one. With this case, I can transport the set easily. The wrenches' 5-degree operating swing arc requirement is the only distinction. A strap wrench is not always necessary, but when it is, it can literally save your life. In my instance, the oven light bulb's glass cover was stuck. Simply put, that thing would not move. Very slick, and even when I managed to grasp it, you don't want to try to force something made of glass while holding it in your palm, right? I obtained the strap wrench, put it on, and used excellent, even force to loosen the screw. Nothing broke, my wife can prepare Christmas cookies and peek in without opening the door, and nothing is broken. When compared to calling someone in, it pays for itself after just one use. who, if they had the same wrench, would probably take the same amount of time as I did once I had the proper equipment.I've used them before, and they're great for a variety of jobs. For the price, this set is excellent. With this kit, I believe any serious hobbyist or professional will get more value for their money than with any other. It moves up to an inch without skipping. This strongly protrudes into heavy-duty equipment and covers any SAE nut or bolt used in the automobile industry. Not many individuals will require a larger ratcheting wrench.The lack of a reversing lever on these wrenches is a drawback. In my opinion, their pricing includes it. On the Sears website, this set can cost up to three times as much, and I would not rank them at that price. I own my own business and am a heavy equipment mechanic with two or three of everything.When I was younger and didn't have the convenience of purchasing like this, I purchased a set of Snap On angle wrenches. Yes, the Snap On wrenches are a terrific tool and they feel good in your hands, but they are not flawless because the chrome is still chipping off of some of them.These and the SAE set much above my expectations in terms of both quality and pricing, therefore I bought them to carry on my mobile service trailer. I believe the Snap On set cost me roughly $1500 25 years ago. Would you like to purchase my Snap On set for $1,000 after using it daily for more than a year with Sunex sets?Use your tool money carefully if you're a young mechanic just starting out, according to someone who has been doing this for 40 years. Crowfoot wrenches have long been on my wish list, but I've never been able to rationalize the cost of such a tool for occasional use. Since trained crows usually seem to be expensive, the majority of other crowfoots must truly be manufactured from them. Imagine how happy I was to see these sparkly toys on sale for $14. Heck, for $14 I'd still probably buy them simply to try them out even if they were made of glue and tissue paper. I made no second thoughts about purchasing the SAE and Metric kits.They were very highly polished when they arrived, they appear to be the tools in my collection with the most shiny surfaces (perhaps due to their large flat surfaces), and they come with the standard rail to keep them all together. I used them to remove a brake caliper mounting bolt because I wanted to test them out and see whether pressed glue and tissue paper were really underneath that nice, gleaming chrome plating. It worked like a charm.It really irritates me that it skips sizes. I'm sure some manufacturers like to tout things like, "10 piece socket set, sizes from 6mm to 34mm!" thinking the customer won't notice that there are probably some sizes missing. But I digress. I'm sure they have some sales data and marketing statistics to support producing sets that skip sizes, but it just hurts my brain. I don't want to say it was aliens, but it was aliens, said the guy on the Discovery Channel. This is the reason I deducted one star from the rating.I'm quite happy with my buy all around.
