I purchased this to reseal my white backsplash made of mosaic tiles. (To be specific, it has white, glossy penny tiles with white grout.) After sealing it a few years back, I observed that spills like coffee, tea, spaghetti sauce, and other liquids were beginning to stain the grout. I started by using a microfiber cloth, hot, soapy water, and some good ol' fashioned elbow effort to clean my grout. I used The Floor Guys sealer to seal it after letting it cure overnight, and it worked out great. I did apply the sealant using a disposable paintbrush and paper bowl. As instructed in The Floor Guys' YouTube video, I let the sealer sit for five minutes before wiping it with a damp microfiber towel in a diagonal motion. It just took a few hours for the difference to become apparent. Like water from a duck's back, water is beading off the backsplash. Great material, and neither my tile nor grout have developed any stains or white haze. And there is hardly any smell to it. I had to get near to the product in order to smell the sealer. This is something I'd buy again.

Oh my God! My discoloured grout surprised me by looking so lovely! These pens are just incredible. They run long after a little priming! They are quite simple to use and cover extremely effectively. There is a tiny bit of paint overlay, but because the grout is so deep, gently wiping it off with a moist cloth merely removes the excess and leaves the grooves unaffected. This is incredibly simple and removes even the deepest stains! To cover the remainder of the house, I'm purchasing four more. Due to the border, the tip does not reach the extreme end of a line, but I prep it slightly for extra paint and press it in with my finger. Additionally, this is fantastic for those tiny, deep grooves or holes in the tile that cause stains that are nearly impossible to remove. Simply prime it over the hole, work in your finer, and then wipe off the excess. The beige colored pens match well with my very light beige tiling. White is NOT something I would advise unless you have very dark tiles. This beige will also go in nicely with white. For the price and the incredible work this pen does, it is simply unbeatable. One pen can easily cover an area that is 3 feet by 20 feet.

With the outcomes I got utilizing these little grout pens, I'm really happy. I started with the big pen. I'm not happy at all with the big ones. The huge grout pen I bought did not have much substance in it, and the nib would not stay in the pen. About 10 linear feet were extracted from it. The amount of linear feet of grout lines it would cover astonished me, so I purchased the smaller ones. The small ones appeared to go on forever and provided me with much, much more coverage than the giant grout pen and more linear feet than was indicated. The giant grout pens are not something I can endorse, but I wholeheartedly endorse the tiny ones. The huge grout pens, in my opinion, are just a waste of money.After using the grout paint in two coats, I sealed all of the grout joints. A word of caution: Avoid using more than one coat of sealant since it may cause the grout paint to disintegrate. I was shocked to find that both sealed and unsealed grout lines had the grout paint adhere to them. After being sealed, the grout should be much easier to clean and should keep its new color for a considerably longer period of time. It remains to be seen if it is accurate.The floors in the kitchen, tiny bathroom, foyer, and two halls still need to be done. To completely remove the old grout and simply float in fresh grout of a different color, I can either use these grout pens or my Ryobi 4 inch wet tile saw with a non-segmented blade. I have an angle grinder with a diamond blade that would be quicker, but I don't want the dust or the cleanup. If you know how to correctly set the water feed line to the saw, the Ryobi wet tile saw will not make a watery or sludgy mess. Of course, where the grout lines meet a wall or other impediment, I'll have to manually remove the old grout because neither a circular saw blade nor a grinder blade will extend all the way to the wall. The fresh grout would then be sealed. Since I have a Triple Card and have over 40 years of experience as a union concrete finisher, hard coat plasterer, and tile setter, regrouting the remaining floors won't be an issue for me. Because of all the unfavorable reviews I had read about the felt tip deteriorating before the product was even out, I was hesitant to purchase this item. I bought it nevertheless because my house was up for an assessment in a week and a few years ago, my ex-partner used a sealer on the grout instead of cleanser, which made it look HORRIFICALLY DIRTY from my dogs. It would become white again no matter how hard I washed, even after removing all of the sealant. It worked perfectly, and the felt tip was fine once I was finished, so I'm not sure what the individuals who had given it terrible reviews had been doing with it. It's not like you pull it across the grout by using a lot of force. You shake it, press down until the felt tip is covered in paint, and then move it over the grout. identical to any paint pen. My grout now sparkles and appears to be like new.

I used one pen to cover the whole floor of my spacious master bathroom as well as a little portion of the shower. It took little more than two pens to cover the small hex tile and wider grout lines on the shower floor. Some advice: shake vigorously both when removing from the packaging and whenever you begin working again after a break. To start the paint flowing, push the tip down repeatedly on a paper plate or right onto the grout line. Going over the grout requires very little pressure. Nearly all of my project was covered by the tips. Pause and squeeze the tip a couple more times if the coverage starts to fade. To remove any excess paint from the tile, I would apply it to a roughly 1x1-foot area and then softly wipe it with a damp paper towel. You have a good amount of working time before it totally dries on the tile, and it is rather forgiving. If the tip becomes too frayed, you can turn it over by pulling it out (I did this with a damp paper towel). Although it took some time, this task went more quickly than I anticipated.The white makes everything look so much cleaner, contrary to my fears that it would make everything appear too bright.
