Swim gloves can help you grip the water and improve your swimming. They can also help you keep warm in cold water. However, you cannot wear swim gloves in a triathlon. This is because triathlons have a swim-bike-run format, and you are not allowed to wear gloves during the swim portion of the race.
Hand paddles are devices that can be worn on the hands while swimming. They are designed to help swimmers move through the water more efficiently. There is some debate as to whether or not hand paddles actually make swimmers swim faster. Some studies have shown that they can help swimmers swim with more power and speed, while other studies have found no significant difference in swimming performance with or without hand paddles. If you are looking to swim faster, it may be worth giving hand paddles a try. However, it is important to keep in mind that they are
Swimming in open water can be a great experience, but it is important to be prepared before you take the plunge. One of the most important things to consider is whether or not you need gloves. There are a few things to keep in mind when deciding if gloves are right for you. The first is the temperature of the water. If the water is cold, gloves can help to keep your hands warm. The second is the type of water you will be swimming in. If the water is murky or filled with debris, gloves can help to protect your hands. Ultimately
There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on the swimmer and the type of gloves they are using. Some swimmers find that swim gloves help them to move through the water more quickly, while others find that they slow them down. Ultimately, it is up to the individual swimmer to experiment with different types of gloves to see what works best for them.

Five stars are given for likely durability. These gloves are a great asset to me as well. My return was also handled very professionally.Fit/size:With regards to finding the right fit for these gloves, I see four potential problems.the size of your palm (most important).how much of a wrist? (somewhat important).Your fingers are how long? (mostly unimportant).the size of your fingers (mostly unimportant).Palm width is covered by the following sizing chart (found on the Speedo website):SIZING CHART FOR AQUATIC FITNESS GLOVESS M L XL8 cm, 9 cm, 10 cm, and 11 cmNote: To determine width, measure the palm's horizontal width.(Even though the size of my palm, which falls squarely into the Large category, is roughly 9.5 cm, this size would have been too large for me.)The most crucial fit criterion is this one. The gloves will feel loose on the hand if the palms are too large. For my wife and I, I bought two sets of Speedo swim training gloves, one in size XL and one in size M. In part because they were too large and loose on the body of my hand, I returned the XL. I currently use the medium size that I bought for my wife. Another loose pair is this one. This is particularly clear when swimming. I believe that because the wet material stretches and absorbs water, they appear to somewhat puff out.My wrists are not that big. This is somewhat/slightly significant for the fit. I believe the size of the wrist opening and the placement of the velcro clasp are connected to the size of the glove and palm. Small has a smaller wrist hole than XL. My Medium-sized gloves feel a little bit too big on the palm, and I think the velcro closure should be adjusted to the smallest aperture size in order to retain the glove on my hand. (This adjustment has two drawbacks: the velcro makes little contact and the excess strap flops around with each motion.)Finger length: I haven't found it helpful to compare size to other styles of gloves. I would describe my hands as being huge to very large (tip of thumb to tip of little finger at maximum spread: 23.5 cm). I have a hard time finding labor gloves that fit. Countless pairs of work gloves have been tried on by me. Gloves are nearly usually XXL sizes, and even those are frequently too small when they do fit. I have a good ten or more pairs of XL and XXL winter gloves. Maybe the challenge is having lengthy fingers? (Middle finger of the right hand, 9 cm). With gloves with fingers, fit is important to me, however with the Speedo fingerless swim gloves, fit is not a problem. Whether my fingers stick out from the gloves by 1.5" or by.5", neither comfort nor functionality seem to be significantly impacted.Dimensions of the finger holes: I also find the finger holes on these medium gloves to be a little too big. This appears to have an impact on how the gloves work because a powerful forward stroke tends to push the material back from the finger's edge, causing resistance. Additionally, it appears as though water seeps into the glove's finger-area, increasing resistance. But I don't think this is a problem. Because of the resistance, I have to exert more effort, which is why I'm wearing the gloves.Durability: I've used these ten or so times when snorkeling and swimming in the ocean and a swimming pool. No wear problems have I seen. It's possible that these gloves won't make you swim faster. I've discovered that the larger surface area these gloves offer does appear to give me more power, at least for a few hard strokes, especially when snorkeling. Although the increased resistance when swimming laps makes me work harder (which is good, right?) it does not speed up my progress. My time for ten laps does in fact get faster. However, when I take off the gloves, it seems as though I can fly through the water. (Assistance from nearby swimmers has convinced me that this was untrue.)

I want to adore these gloves so much. In accordance with their instructions, I got a small. For reference, the width of my hand at the knuckles is just less than 2.75 inches. I could squeeze into a tiny Speedo glove. The hand piece was comfortable, but I struggled to close the wrist (which stayed closed), and the finger openings were so small that my fingers' blood flow was being cut off. I chose to try it because several of the reviews noted the gloves expanding in the water. My fingers were remained quite tense despite some improvement.I bought these to add more drag to my workouts rather than to help me swim faster. WOW, what a work they did! I experienced extra resistance in my core in addition to my arms, shoulders, and back. Although it was not as obvious as the upper body, I also felt like I was working my legs a little harder. I wish I had considered using these much earlier in my rehabilitation, but better late than never, right? Since the palm fit so well, I'm afraid to get the Medium, but I really need to see how they interact with my fingers and wrists. If I obtain the larger size, I'll make an update.Overall, I'm quite pleased with how well things function. I have no qualms about advising anyone to buy these.

GET THE SWIM GLOVES ON/OFF WITH EASE - we recommend spraying a small amount of silicone lubricant spray on your hands and spread with a rubbing motion. Or get into the water, fill the water gloves with water and put your hands in, then take the diving gloves above the water and squeegee down. To remove, just blow into the edge by your wrist and inflate them like a balloon. They pop right off
GET THE RIGHT SIZE - the aqua gloves should fit tight and at the same time comfortable like a wetsuit. Look into the size chart to find the best size for your hands.
HANDLE OBJECTS EASILY - ultra-thin, 0.9 mm or 1/28 inch Second Skin scuba diving gloves give finger dexterity to pick small objects, to press small buttons on a camera underwater or to adjust diving gear
IMAGINE IMPROVING YOUR PADDLE SPEED - dive gloves are made with 3-D web profile, which compared to your bare hand for propulsion, increases surface area by 70 percent. Much more power and speed in the water
STAY LONGER IN THE WATER WITH WETSUIT GLOVES - this extra layer on your hands helps to keep them warmer, so you can enjoy catching waves or diving for longer

With the help of the measurement chart, the size I ordered fit well. My fingers have just a little room for movement, which isn't a terrible thing, but everything else fits, well, like a glove.Yes, they can be a little challenging to put on and take off, but they are also incredibly durable and can withstand fairly strong pulling. The gloves can withstand quite a bit of abuse as long as you grab a larger surface area of the gloves (instead of a little section around the edge) with your off hand while putting them on. It is the same to take off.Although several authors have suggested utilizing powders or lubricants, I have discovered that simply putting them on with water already really aids in the process. If they fit properly, they won't slide on easily, but they also won't come off when they shouldn't.Nice and snug, yet not too snug as to be uncomfortable, is how the sleeve fits. They are very at ease. The webbing appears to have been adhered rather firmly. These gloves do not appear to be easily breakable. They will NOT keep your hand dry while swimming normally! The warmth from your body will nevertheless keep the water around your fingers nice and warm. Strong swimming strokes may somewhat warm the water, but not much, and you can modify your strokes.I emailed customer service directly from the Darkfin website since I had one small problem with the gloves I purchased. The issue was addressed, they reacted the same day, and they satisfactorily resolved it for me! That really is excellent customer service! With both the product and the response, they most definitely merited this review.

I adore these swimming goggles. In my Aqua Fit and Aqua Boot Camp classes, I use them. They are short on my wrist, which I enjoy, and they do not obstruct my fitness tracker. They are comfortable and have good water resistance. These gloves are wonderful when I find the water bar bells to be too much or burdensome. If you are debating whether to buy these, put an end to it and just do it. I measured my hand and used the size chart to place my order for a small.

I found out that the swim gloves I had been wearing for 17 years had been discontinued when I went to replace them. Based on the lone 5-star rating, I chose to try these. Even though I wish I had found them sooner, I'm glad I did. Compared to the brand I was previously using, they are significantly more flexible and hence more comfortable (Aquatics by Sprint). These gloves are a little roomier than my usual size medium ones, but it doesn't matter. They complete the task and are in good health.

I regularly work out in a pool with foam barbells, but they were too big to fit in my bag if I wanted to take anything out, LOL. I discovered these gloves, and they performed well and took up very little space in either my beach bag or my baggage. I thought it worked much better than the barbells and was comfortable to wear.
Swim gloves can help reduce drag while swimming and can also help protect your hands from the elements. They can also help you grip the water better, which can be helpful if you are swimming in open water.
Most people believe that tow floats slow you down when swimming. However, this is not always the case. While tow floats may add some drag to your swim, they also provide additional buoyancy that can help you swim faster. In addition, tow floats can help you stay on your stroke and keep your body in alignment.
While the jury is still out on whether or not webbed fingers help you swim, there are a few schools of thought. Some say that the webbing helps to increase surface area, which in turn helps to increase propulsion through the water. Others say that the webbing actually hinders movement, as it increases drag. Ultimately, it may come down to personal preference. If you feel like you swim better with webbed fingers, then go for it!
Swimming gloves are designed to keep your hands warm in cold water and protect them from the sun's UV rays. They come in a variety of thicknesses, so you can choose the level of warmth and protection you need.
Swimming in a wetsuit is often thought to be faster than swimming without one. There are a few reasons for this. First, a wetsuit provides buoyancy, which helps swimmers float and move through the water more easily. Second, a wetsuit helps to streamline the body, reducing drag and making it easier to move through the water. Finally, a wetsuit helps to keep the body warm, which can improve swimming performance. While a wetsuit may provide some advantages, it is important to remember that it is not a magic bullet. Swimmers
There is no one definitive answer to this question. Some people prefer to have their swimming gloves be tight in order to have more control over their swimming, while others find that loose gloves are more comfortable and allow for a greater range of motion. Ultimately, it is up to the individual swimmer to decide what feels best for them.
