Yes, spurs are still used today. While they are not as common as they once were, spurs are still used by some riders. Spurs can be helpful in getting a horse to move forward or turn.
Yes, obese people can ride horses. However, they may need to take some extra precautions to stay safe while doing so. For example, they may need to use a wider saddle and wear a helmet to protect themselves from falls.
While there's no law against wearing spurs in public, doing so may not be the best idea. Spurs can be dangerous if they catch on something, and they can also be noisy. If you're planning on wearing spurs in public, it's best to be aware of your surroundings and be careful not to accidentally injure yourself or others.
Yes, spurs can help with a lazy horse. Spurs can help to encourage a horse to move forward by providing a small amount of pressure or stimulation to the horse's sides. This can help to motivate a lazy horse to move more forward and to stay more focused on the task at hand.

The Original Soft Touch Spur
Stainless Steel

A Humane Spur
$234
well crafted spurs There is evident care devoted to accurate engineering and manufacture because of the high quality build and how snugly everything fits together. They appear to have cost much more than they actually did!The area that comes into contact with the horse is very smooth, and the components that hold the spur balls are positioned such that it is unlikely that they would snag the horse and cause cuts, rubs, or even plain discomfort! In my opinion, spurs should only be used sometimes and by riders who have a still, educated leg. Spurs are not for hitting, punishing, or bullying the horse; rather, they allow for smaller, more precise leg cues. This is why I want modest, rounded spurs without any sharp edges. These are flawless in every way.

16 pt. rowel and black jingle bobs
An affordable jingle bob spur
1/2" chrome plated band
$234
I wear these all the time because they are incredibly amazing and sparkling. Spur straps are not included if this is your first pair of spurs, so be sure to get some. These spurs make a rather disgusting sound, in my opinion. When they have the jingle-bobs on, they resemble the man who rings the bell in front of supermarkets. Without the jingle-bobs (which I removed right away), the sound is quite pleasant and stereotypically "old west." If you want to make the traditional ching ching ching sound while you walk, you must slow down your stride pace; otherwise, it will only sound like chinglchingchingchhinhnhlhiinhng. Oh, and kids will poke their buddies and point at you like you're some sort of cowboy, while adults will probably simply think you're crazy.

carries out its intended function. genuine leather With my Weaver Leather Men's Spur, I used it. enough length for my large (11-1/2D) feet. If it had already been treated with leather conditioner, I would have given it five stars. A little too brilliant of a colour for the spur. So, in order to darken it, I'll probably use some saddle soap.

Durable, Weather Resistant Harness Leather

Warm, supple, and rich in colour. Large enough for additional holes to be easily drilled in the strap. There is no struggle to attach to spur buttons. I'm not sure if the "bonded" construction will be a problem, but the cost is affordable enough that, if required, I'd get another pair. It might become problematic if used frequently as a purse strap, but it is expected that these will stay long enough for my needs.

I only have one of the "leather" parts due to slightly defective packaging that had one side of the toy package already opened. Sincerely, I don't mind that I couldn't find it anyplace in the shipment I received. I'll probably use the one I already have as a pattern to create a pair that better matches my costume. (Even the Leather bit fit me well.)I tried these on with a pair of US size 9 boots that fit me as an adult female. If the "prongs" had been a little bit wider, it would have been ideal. These are metal, so it was easy for me to pull them to the right size. not even a half-cmI'm eager to wear them because they are fantastic and pretty self explanatory. The ornamented side is facing up, the chains are tucked under your boot heel, and the strap is placed across the top of your foot.

just as said in the description Happy with the purchase. These appear to last a long time because of the thick rubber. I wear these with a size 9 Coral roping boot, and they fit comfortably and snugly. I placed a larger size order. They quietly hold my spurs in place because they are the same colour as my boots. adore these

These were delivered, and I immediately noticed how strong they were, assuming that because they were so thick, they must be made of metal. Although I would have wanted jingle spurs, they are only for a costume photo shoot and it won't matter. They look to be quite strong. These should be perfect for my needs and were a fantastic price.
Spurs are sharp, pointy objects that are often used to prod animals. They can also be used as a weapon. Spurs can cause pain if they are used to prod or poke someone.
Spurs are commonly used to cue a horse to go forward. They can also be used to cue other movements, such as turning, stopping, and backing up. Spurs are not necessarily used to make a horse go faster, but can be used to cue a horse to move forward more quickly than they otherwise would.
Spurs are a type of pointed accessory that are worn on the back of the heel. Spurs are used to help control a horse while riding, and can also be used in other activities such as bull riding. Spurs usually have a rowel, or a small wheel with spikes, on the end which can be used to prod the horse.
There are many factors to consider when purchasing a spur. The most important thing is to find a spur that is comfortable for you to wear. It is also important to find a spur that is the correct size for your horse. You will also want to find a spur that is the correct width for your horse's girth.
There are a few ways to keep your spurs in place. The first way is to make sure that the straps on your spurs are tight. You don't want them to be too tight, but you also don't want them to be too loose. The second way is to use a spur guard. A spur guard is a piece of leather or plastic that goes over the top of your spur and helps to keep it in place. The third way is to use a spur locker. A spur locker is a device that you put your spur into and it locks it in place.
If you're new to riding with spurs, it's best to start with a basic understanding of how they work. Spurs are tools that help cue a horse to go forward, turn, or stop. They're attached to the rider's feet and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. To ride with spurs, start by putting them on your boots. Make sure the rowels are facing down so they don't catch on anything. Then, get on your horse and ride as you normally would. If you want to cue your horse to go forward, lightly touch their
