12 point sockets are good for lug nuts because they provide a tight fit and are less likely to slip off. They are also easier to remove than other types of sockets.
Are Blue Point sockets any good? I have never used them before but I have heard good things about them. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with them and if they are worth the money.
Whether deep sockets are better than shallow sockets depends on the application. For example, deep sockets are better for accessing fasteners in tight spaces, while shallow sockets are better for working in confined areas.
Yes, Milwaukee socket sets are definitely worth the money. They are well-made and last a long time. I have had mine for over 10 years and it is still going strong.

Despite this being my first exposure with this brand, I could tell it was a high-quality product as soon as I saw the packaging. Because a business that is assured and proud of its product will demonstrate it in the presentation of the packaging.Once the envelope was opened, the suspicion was confirmed. The adapters smell strongly like high impact, high strength tool steel. It has absurd strength! I will only ever use these socket adapters. And I use it to remove lug nuts from pick-up trucks and automobiles. No issues. But really, this is a fantastic adapter that can be used wherever it is needed.

Hex fit is looser than some. I work with brand-new equipment, and while some of it is better than others, it isn't awful enough to annoy me. The drives for the bits are smaller than usual; for example, a 1/2" drive is used for a 3/8 drive bit. It benefits me, I believe. improved clearance These aren't impact parts; if you need them, go purchase some. These are perfect for what I require. The case and all the bits inside are lovely; nonetheless, they are looser than much more expensive bits. None of the bits have become stuck inside a screw. Perhaps evaluate your use; if the bolts were placed with red loctite ten years ago and are rusty, you might have a problem. I'll be here to laugh when your $800 set from So doesn't work, if you believe it would.

It's my first time buying Neiko brand tools, and I've already used them a few times. They seem to be extremely nicely made. To keep them organized, they also come in a lovely case. I've been using them with my 1/4" impact cannon; they have an etched finish and easy-to-read size marks. If these are a sign of their quality, I wouldn't think twice about purchasing more of their things. Regards on a fantastic product!

extremely good torque socket set. When I was changing the front struts on my Corolla, I shattered two normal chrome-plated sockets when attempting to loosen the 19 mm bolts. I should have known better, I admit. I had no issue taking the bolts out and putting them back in once I got the EPAuto Metric set. The EPAuto 19mm deep impact socket worked flawlessly with a breaker bar. Over 150 foot pounds of torture for the bolts is no problem. As a follow-up, I'll set up the EPAuto SAE. I'm so happy!

I was looking for impact sockets to fill my Hansen Socket Trays and heard great things about Sunex, so I decided to give this set a shot since I didn't already have any. After doing a lot of research, I was unable to locate a set that was more full and well-reviewed at a reasonable price than this Sunex set.Unboxing the set gave me a great first impression, and if I ever have a poor experience with them after using them for a time, I'll update my review. This Sunex set almost totally fills my 1/4in Hansen Socket trays, which is something I was really seeking for. The metric tray is already substantially full, so all I need to do is find a few more for the SAE tray. The deep 4.5mm and deep 9/16 sockets were difficult for me to fit on the trays. After some very minor filing, I was able to get the deep 9/16 socket to fit. To get the 4.5mm to fit the post on the tray, I'll need to refine it a little further.

It was a whole set, so I bought it. I currently own two sets of the Harbor Freight 3/8" drive impact swivel sockets, and they have been okay for me. While looking for the missing sizes on Amazon, I realized that the cost of the Sunex 10 piece set would be exceeded or would be extremely close if I bought the 15mm, 18mm, and 19mm 3/8′′ drive impact swivels separately from almost any brand worth owning. So for me, it was a no-brainer.Don't get me wrong; the Harbor Freight impact swivels are fine and operate well the majority of the time when the swivel pin holding spring is in place. But it also lacks standard sizes. The fact that they complete the task and charge merely $25 excuses all of it. almost alwaysMy initial impression of the Sunex swivel sockets was, "Wow, these are amazing things, especially for only 57 dollars." Then I began to see some chinks in the armor. firstly, as you will see or might have already seen in the video. To make it simpler to install the socket on your tool, the square drive hole is almost precisely square and has no beveling. It does make attaching these sockets to your tool a little more difficult and aggravating at times, even while most people might not think this is a huge deal and it really isn't a deal breaker for me. Then I realized how little the size stamping is. I just don't see why tool manufacturers believe that their customers have superb vision. Again, not a real deal-breaker, but because this is a review, I feel compelled to point out flaws. The positive The fastener is constructed of chromoly rather than chrome vanadium steel, and the sockets fit the fastener VERY well. Chromoly increases the durability of impact sockets. With repeated heavy use, chrome vanadium is prone to splitting and cracking. It's a benefit that the sizes are laser engraved and imprinted into the steel. Despite the diminutive size of the stamp, its presence is nonetheless positive (some sockets are only laser etched). The laser etched size will eventually fade, as we all know. Another benefit of these sockets is their VERY smooth, spring-loaded swiveling motion, which ensures that it will not flex when you need it to be stiffest. ha… Oh, and it has a lovely casing, too.The Bad: Small-sized stamps, a square drive hole without any features to facilitate installation on your tools (you will need to look at them and line it up frequently), and a swivel socket base that is a little on the large side due to the swivel pin holding ring. Are these issues for you deal-breakers? Your choice. They are not deal breakers for me. These still work well and are excellent impact swivel sockets. In conclusion, having a great set of pin-less impact swivel sockets is ideal, but at the moment, I personally just can't justify the price. I don't have the money right now to spend 225-300 on a set of pin-less swivel sockets that are only used in a handful of circumstances. Although there are some issues in this package, I can live with them because the cost-cutting measures taken by the firm won't have an impact on how well the tool works. The Sunex 3657 3/8′′ drive 10 piece impact swivel socket set is an excellent bargain for anyone using it, whether they are professional car technicians or weekend warriors. The GearWrench socket rail available here would be a wonderful socket rail to use with this set.Blue 3/8-Inch Dr Slide Skt Rail, GearWrench 83107I'm utilizing it in the video.

32-piece set of Neiko 10288A Master Hex Bit Sockets, S2 Steel, SAE and MetricI have only ever purchased this particular item from Ridgerock/Neiko. I work as a maintenance specialist. I tested the 10mm, 3/8th drive today. I applied 30 "Two huge bolts on a forklift push pull attachment needed to be released using a cheater bar and a westward 3/8th drive ratchet. I applied quite a bit of flex to the tool and ratchet and used the same technique to twist earlier Craftsman hex head sockets. Since the ratchet seemed to be flexing, to be very honest, I was expecting it to go first. I am impressed that this tool did not twist or break. Usually, I would rather use a 1/2 "On large bolts like these, use a drive socket or ratchet. Regarding the case, it is your standard plastic case, and the latches usually break eventually with ANY brand of tools that come in a plastic case. Although a thicker layer of foam backing would be preferable, the plastic case is still acceptable. Having to use 3 ratchets in order to use this one set is a bit of a hassle. These tools have a superb quality and fit perfectly in the bolts they were made for.

Sizes are laser engraved and stamped or rolled. Good touch. It would have been wonderful if the etching and the detent pin holes lined properly, but those are minor details. It's wonderful that the iron oxide is phosphate-coated.Taiwan is mentioned on the box.As opposed to CroMo, these are CrV.The walls must be thicker for impact shock absorption since CrV is more brittle, but they will last longer than CroMo because CroMo will start to distort with use. Instead of CrV breaking, CroMo is predicted to crack. Always wear eye protection when tinkering; take that for what it's worth since I've never seen a socket fracture when used properly.Walls that are thicker could make it difficult to get around some fasteners. I'll use an extended box wrench anyhow because it's likely that clearances are a problem for that one or two strange bolts from every angle. For all the other benefits this set offers, I was ready to sacrifice thinner socket walls. The plastic case the sockets are packaged in is given five stars. Unlike more expensive brands, which use a thin strip of plastic left over from the blow molding process to join the two pieces, it has a real hinge. It feels quite substantial because the handle grip is a part of the case and is not individually attached.Additionally, rather than using clips, which we all know quickly wear out with use, it incorporates hinged clasps. When the retaining foam sheet is still in place, all of the sockets lie down in the bottom tray and seem to close with relative security. Since frequent removal and replacement of those sockets can quickly wear out the plastic holding them in place, I needed a socket set that did not require the top lid to hold sockets. An effective selling feature for this socket set is the case. I want to be able to put this kit safely in a car or mobile repair situation without worrying that the back hinge will fail and spill its contents all over my trunk. This kit includes a VERY helpful 3/8 to 1/2 impact adaptor, which I'm sure I'll utilize when swapping between the 3/4"-17mm sockets on my two weapons.Additionally, extensions come in practical sizes and seem to be well-made, with little to no wobble or slide at the tool end square drive and little to no off-axis rotation at the socket end square drive (meaning they were allowed to cool slowly and properly). This prevents an extension from doing the old whirly-gig and hurling your sockets across the concrete when you hit the gun's trigger before you're completely on a fastener. The u-joint socket adapter is somewhat large, but considering that it is CrV impact rated, that shouldn't be surprising. In my opinion, it ought to have been removed to make place for a 6" or 8" wobble extension OR a few 8-12mm 12-point sockets (for drivelines), with all the extensions being wobble. Though that could just be me.It would be great if Neiko or their parent firm looked into entering the chrome market because whoever designs these sets must be an expert in their field.Whatever the case, I'm quite happy with this purchase and would suggest it. I do a lot of Amazon shopping but very little reviewing.

To remove the seatbelt from my 2004 Ford Ranger single cab, I needed a Torx-50 bit. The bucket is split 60/40. Because I own a T-55, which I used to remove my truck bed and twice change my fuel pump, I am aware that it is excessively large. This set's T-50 bit completed the task without breaking. While I waited for this item to arrive, I applied my own homemade lubricant, which I created from Transmission Fluid and Acetone, to this bolt from both the top and the bottom for three days. I repeatedly hit the bolt with a hammer while trying to remove it in order to clear any debris from the threads and loosen it. Be careful since this bolt passes through directly above your gas tank, but the solvent you spray underneath is deflected by a muffler heat shield. Overall, I am satisfied with this package and can recommend it because of the pricing. Simply take your time, rely on feel, keep lubricating the bolt, and tap it with a hammer as you go.

If you drive a BMW, Mercedes, or other luxury vehicle, the range of sockets and parts is ideal. Each component has a distinct stamp, and it all fits neatly into the carrying case. Having said that, the case is ultimately the reason I can't give this product a five-star rating. The case's locks, as others have noted, are insufficient to keep it securely closed, which allows the bits within to move around or, in the worst event, tumble out. Unfortunate.
There are a lot of different opinions on whether or not you need a 1/2 ratchet. Some people say that it is a necessary tool that everyone should have, while others claim that it is not necessary and that a full-sized ratchet is just as good. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to purchase a 1/2 ratchet comes down to personal preference.
A ratchet is a tool that is used to turn fasteners, like screws and bolts. They come in a variety of sizes, and the number of teeth on the ratchet will determine how fast or slow it is. A good ratchet should have at least 30 teeth.
Gearwrench is a popular brand of hand tools and power tools. The company makes a wide variety of tools, including wrenches, ratchets, sockets, and pliers. Gearwrench is known for its quality tools and competitive prices. Many professional mechanics and hobbyists use Gearwrench tools.
A five-point socket is a type of socket that has five sides. It is used to drive screws and bolts that have a five-sided head.
8 point sockets are used for a variety of tasks, including removing and installing vehicle wheel nuts, as well as other nuts and bolts. They can also be used to loosen and tighten hose clamps.
There are three types of sockets: stream, datagram and raw. Stream sockets provide a reliable, two-way connection between two computers. Datagram sockets are designed for one-way or two-way communications, but are less reliable. Raw sockets allow direct access to the underlying network protocols.
