Over the years, I've made a number of upgrades to my Late 2011 15-inch MacBook Pro, including increasing the RAM, switching the hard drive for an SSD, and adding a new battery. This upgrade is by far the simplest to complete and is quite helpful.A hole on the bottom of the case is left when the original rubber feet are lost, allowing dirt and dust to enter. Depending on how you use your computer and how frequently, if at all, you open it up to clean it, this could have significant effects.Installing these rubber feet couldn't be simpler. For my situation, I removed the bottom, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, pressed the new feet on, and then put the bottom back on. However, you actually don't even need to remove the bottom of the case if it seems like too much trouble. Simply press the new pieces on after making sure the area is clean and clear of any remaining old adhesive.And as if that weren't enough, this package also includes two pairs of premium screws. The original screws had started to slightly strip out after being opened up the bottom of the case ten or more times, but I had never thought to replace them. Not a major deal right now, but it might become one in the future. The replacement screws were simple to install and come pre-greased. They did not deform even when under some pressure.

I feel like an Apple Genius Guy because of this! I had so much pleasure changing out the feet and cleaning out the dust my MacBook had accumulated over the years!These are the surefire steps!1. To ensure that your MacBook won't move, place it on a stable desk, preferably on a mat or towel. It should also be well-lit for optimum visibility.2. Begin removing the 10 screws (2 short, 8 long), one at a time, placing each one in a separate pile based on where it was located on your MacBook. This makes it easier to recall which ones they are.3. Remove the rear panel slowly to hear two clips unlatch from the center. These latches are used to secure the back panel.4. Use a blower, can of air, or makeup brushes to remove all the dust! The enjoyable part is now!5. Remove the original feet from the rear panel and all of the black plastic nubs that are inserted into the holes. Cut an X with a knife to free the nubs on the back two (use the screwdriver to poke them out). Use nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining adhesive. I used warm, soapy water to wash the rear panel as well.6. Take the new feet out of the plastic bag and line up the large and small dots. Insist forcefully. I used a hair dryer to heat them up and further set the adhesive.7. Before screwing everything back together, align the rear panel with the back of your MacBook and check that the two latches from previously click.8. Because the screws were still in good condition, I utilized them to reattach the back panel. Use any screws you like as long as they fit the MacBook perfectly, new or old.9. Your MacBook won't budge on the table any longer!Overall assessment: I highly recommend this kit to anyone wishing to replace their feet. It took around 15 minutes all all, and now I feel like I have a brand-new MacBook!

I didn't know I needed a kit like this until I purchased a laptop from HP's website that was missing the tools needed to install an additional storage drive (the laptop came with an M.2 NVMe drive and had a space for a 2.5 inch drive, but no SATA cable, no HDD caddy, or screws). My child's laptop lost its screws! I have no idea how. "Dad, I think I've got a screw loose," he stated as he gave me his laptop, which he uses for school research. I suppose I realized he was my wife's clone, but I still had to look at what he was thrusting in my face. It turned out that he was missing 4 phillips head screws off the rear of his laptop, close to the hinged section.He denied trying to disassemble it in order to examine how it functions when I questioned him about it. Well, those are screws for laptops. The poor things are little! similar to M2.0, M2.5, and even M3. I got into Amazon without knowing what I needed and discovered this fantastic assortment. It contained all the sizes and different lengths that I could require to fix his grip Lenovo Laptop. Because, let's face it, you need the correct length of screw to complete the task when you need one! There is no need to fiddle with short screws and hope they fit. The lengths in this collection were correct, and there were even a few M3x3 and M2x3 in both ordinary and BIG HEAD! This was incredible. Now, these extra screws will be stored in the toolbox with the Cap-head Hex screws that I occasionally need for upgrading my 3D printers and other devices. Unquestionably a fantastic buy that I'll be using as long as I have kids that drop, break, or lose objects that call for these dreadfully tiny screws! This screw set is excellent overall and was just what I needed. Some of these screw sizes are difficult to locate, but I needed them for a laptop repair. The case's lack of durability was the sole drawback; when it arrived, one of the sectional walls collapsed and the screw types were mixed up. Although it wasn't difficult to separate the screws and re-insert the divider, I probably wouldn't suggest this case for someone who wants to keep it rattling around in the bottom of a tool box. The fact that some screws were in baggies and others were loose was also a little odd. But everything appears to be in working order. Overall, based on the price and variety of screw sizes, I would still suggest this product, however the case is a little on the cheap side. I'm satisfied with the purchase and give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

My Macbook Pro (Mid 2010) had lost its tiny black rubber feet, as have many other laptops. After contacting Apple, I was informed that the item was no longer available. Luckily, this Amazon seller had the feet available, so I immediately placed an order. The item was delivered on time and included a beautiful screwdriver, screws, and rubber feet that are made of soft rubber. I disregarded the glue rings that were already on the rubber feet, as suggested by other Amazon reviewers. I took out the adhesive rings, cleaned the base with alcohol, and then attached the Macbook cover with gorilla clear glue (non-foam). The feet did not need to be clamped down; they could just be held in place for a short period of time before the computer was turned over and its own weight was allowed to overnight force the feet down. Since I finished the installation a week ago, the rubber feet are holding up fantastically.

The 1.2 mm (extremely little) screws on the underside of my 2013 MacBook Pro started to corrode about two years ago, and one even fell out. After reading several reviews of products resembling this screwdriver, I decided to purchase it. Despite having 10-15% evaluations with one rating, I found that the majority of the tools had high reviews. The majority of these one-star reviews bemoaned the item's failure to function by removing the tip. After using the Whizzotech tool extensively, I can state that utilizing too much torque is what causes the problems. Due to the small tip size, even a modest torque can produce a very strong force that could be harmful. So, if you want to be happy, get this product and treat it gently.I can also mention that the design of this instrument is quite attractiveââ¬âeven beautiful.
Laptop screws are typically measured in millimeters. The most common screw sizes for laptops are 2.5mm and 3mm.
There are a few ways to measure screw size. The most common way is to use a ruler or caliper. Place the screw on the ruler and measure from the tip of the screw to the end of the shank. This will give you the overall length of the screw. The second way is to measure the diameter of the screw. Place the screw on the ruler and measure the distance across the screw at the widest point. It's perfectly fine to leave a few screws out when mounting a motherboard, and in fact, it's often necessary. Depending on the case, the motherboard may need to be shifted a bit to line up properly with I/O ports or other internal components.
