TCMT New Engine Guard Crash Bar Chrome Fits For Harley Sportster 883 1200 XL XR 2004-2020 Review:

The bar comes with four screws and four washers, however the threads on the washers don't match the holes, so I'm not sure what they're for. Fortunately, I had already purchased a similar model for my older Sportster, and based on that knowledge, I knew the hardware wouldn't work. Therefore, go to the hardware shop and purchase 2ea 3/8-16 stainless steel button head bolts (bigger head with the hex hole for an Allen Wrench) and 2ea 3./8" stainless lock washers while you are waiting for the crash bar to arrive. The bottom mounting point will employ the bolts you recently purchased. The engine mount is the highest mounting point, and the two existing bolts are long enough to pass through both the existing engine mount and the crash bar.My old crash bar on my 1997 Sportster was wider than the bike's foot rests, so I had also anticipated it to be a little bit broader. Compared to the mid mount foot rests on my Sportster, this one is narrower.

Would have been good if nuts were provided, but my neighborhood hardware store can easily fix it. Additionally, I needed high glass for the Mate finish, which was a simple fix with some automotive glass clear varnish. Overall, I'm happy with the way it was built. Note that when it first arrived, the two lower mounts protruded from the box and there was NO BUBBLE WRAP to hold them there. As a result, both mounting plates were silver and severely damaged. Runs to the hardware shop for spray paint are made once more. I've now put an additional $35 over the cost, so I'm still ahead of what HD is asking for comparable crash bars.

Show Chrome Accessories 63-319 Highway Bar Review:

If they hadn't been difficult to install, I would have rated them a 5. Chinese and precision should not be used interchangeably. The holes could have been somewhat larger to make alignment easier. It's also a smart idea to have two people wait. I completed it on my own in about an hour. I know the I fo says 2008 and 2009, but I believe these will fit all 2013 V Star 1300s. They look great on my car. If more bolts had been utilised on the frame, installation would have been much simpler. Mine cost $108 on eBay with free shipping. Good looks and good chrome are both present.

XMT-MOTO Mustache Engine Guard Crash Bar For Indian chief classic/chief vintage/chieftain 2014-2018,chief dark horse/chieftain dark horse 2016-2018,chieftain classic 2018,chieftain elite 2017,ect. Review:

Bars that are well-made and affordable without sacrificing quality. I bought the rear highway bars and the moustache bars. Very happy! The right side floorboards had to be removed, but other than that, installing them was quite simple with the correct equipment. Torque wrenches are required. The floorboards and lower screws were 35 lb-ft in torque, while the upper bolts on the moustache bar were 18 lb-ft, according to the maintenance manual I downloaded. The rubber foot guards moving around is the only issue, but I ordered an Indian foot rest for the highway bar based on comments from forum users that they fit, and I'm still waiting to get them. I'm glad I decided to buy it.
