McCormick Apple Pie Spice, 1.12 oz Review:

The fact that apple pie spice can be used in so many other recipes is one of its best qualities. McCormick is a fantastic source of premium spices and seasonings, and they continue that trend with this product. It has the ideal proportions of ingredients to make mouthwatering apple pies and much more. My trick is to substitute apple pie spice for cinnamon in any recipe that calls for it. Whatever I am making gains a new depth and dimension as a result. This is fantastic in my coconut farina bowl for morning as well! Even if I wish it were a little bit bigger, the package is excellent. Although spices and seasonings can be pricey, the high caliber McCormick products help make them affordable. For your apple pies and other baked goods where you would typically use cinnamon, nutmeg, or any of the other ingredients in this delightful combination, I'd definitely recommend this.

McCormick Ground Mace, 0.9 Ounce (Pack of 1) Review:

Excellent grade herbs!I've dried a variety of herbs from the company, and it looks like the review portion is the same for all of them:- Oregano: Simply opening the jar fills the kitchen with Italian pizza-like flavors. Works incredibly well with meals that have a Mediterranean influence, but it's too dry for salads.- Chives: I have never encountered chives with such taste (even fresh). I include them in everything, including soups, salads, chili, yogurt, cottage cheese, casseroles, roasted vegetables, rice, and pasta.- Basil: Though on the milder side, the flavor of basil nevertheless gives a lovely touch. When present, the sifter is sufficient for a gentle sprinkle. Using spoons when preparing larger portions is more effective.

Fire & Flavor All Natural Turkey Perfect Herb Brine Kit, Perfect for Roasting, Grilling, Smoking, Frying, 16.6oz Review:

Since about a year and a half ago, I've heard folks mention brining their turkeys, but I never have to make more than one dish for the holidays. Instead of inviting my normal family this year, I wanted to have a "Friendsgiving" gathering at my place and invite my "selected" family. I was supposed to supply a turkey, ham, and cornbread dressing. Side dishes would be brought by my buddies.I had never cooked a turkey before; this was only my second attempt. I used a 14-pound turkey, which I brined for 14 hours. The procedure wasn't challenging. There was definitely enough room in the bag. I did have some difficulties getting the liquid to cover the top of the turkey, but I was able to solve the problem by placing the bird in a pot that was smaller than my roasting pan. After I did so, the turkey was completely submerged in the liquid in the bag. Now, I neglected to add the vinegar. You should be aware of that. It completely escaped my memory. But I'm not sure if it made a difference. PERSONS LOVED MY TURKEY!Two folks who told me they didn't particularly enjoy turkey and only occasionally ate it, loved this turkey. I didn't season the dish further. I sprinkled paprika on top after brushing the turkey with melted butter. It was prepared in a turkey bag. Again, full disclosure: It wasn't as wet as I would have liked, but it didn't matter. I may have overcooked it a touch. The flavor was unmistakable, even if it was a little dry. But just to be safe, we made the gravy with the bird's fluids, which gave it the flavor of the bird.Everyone echoed the sentiment that it was the best-seasoned turkey they had ever had. I had little meat left because, with six of us, we all had plenty. And everyone brought a plate of food home with them. I also delivered plates to my aunt and grandmother. My 87-year-old grandmother claimed it was the greatest turkey she had ever eaten. I had very little left. People piled in! The dinner was a success overall, and the turkey was the pièce de résistance. Absolutely, I'll buy this again.I paid the full amount for this product; there was no reduction offered. These are my personal, impartial opinions.

The Spice Way - Real Zaatar with Hyssop spice blend | 2 oz | (No Thyme that is used as an hyssop substitute). With sumac. No Additives, No Perservatives, (Za'atar/zatar/zahtar/zahatar/za atar) Review:

I had sampled a spice concoction that was offered with bread by street vendors on a trip to Egypt and the Holy Land years ago. Delicious. I took some of it home with me in a baggie. I saved it as a reference even though it was obvious that after years of sitting there, it wouldn't be as fresh as what I received when I was there. Years passed before I realized that was probably za'atar. I tried various dishes flavored with za'atar as it became more widely available, including chips. It was awful, very bitter, and nothing like what I had previously eaten. After that, I discovered the Spice Way zaatar with hyssop and tried it. Very excellent! Thyme may have been used as a substitute in what I had previously tasted, but thyme is not present in this. Though I adore thyme, it cannot serve as a substitute for hyssop. This is the nicest mix I have discovered so far. The blend in Israel lacked a slight sweetness, but that may have been due to a unique recipe that I may never be able to duplicate. This is tasty in any case. These flax crackers I just made with this mixture are fantastic. adore this material

The Spice Way - Pure 100% Sumac, No Salt, no GMO, no Irradiation, Spice Seasoning Powder 4 oz (resealable bag) (Sumak) Review:

I searched three large supermarkets for it—one of which has a pretty amazing spice collection—but I couldn't find it. I needed it for a Lebanese kibbeh recipe I wanted to test, and the staff working in this section had never heard of it. I'm pleased I waited to get this from The Spice Way through Amazon. Although it has a strong lemony character, the flavour is so much more than that. There was no sawdust in the resealable bag, just a very fragrant, slightly moist spice. It now adds a wonderful, fresh flavour to my grain preparations. Sumac is the only herb that works for me.

DAK's BEST SELLERS 6 PACK - 100% Sodium Free! Spice and seasoning for steak, poultry, fish, veggies containing 0% SALT! FREEDOM from Salt, Low Salt, Low Sodium! Review:

These spice combinations are well worth the money, even if you aren't on a salt-restricted diet. They had a lot of flavor and taste exactly like you would expect. Some salt-free spice mixtures appear to be little more than a jumble of odd spices and herbs with minimal or no discernible flavor. These have a fantastic, powerful flavor profile that makes them a fantastic purchase for everyone. Have you ever used too much of a salted seasoning mix because you wanted more of the spice flavor but the salt was too strong? By purchasing these, you can salt your food as much as you like without going overboard. Each taste is top-notch, and the Original Red even has a kick of heat to it! The Taco Knight tastes precisely like an American taco seasoning should, but with the addition of cumin, onion, and oregano, it also works well as a chili starter. It's well worth the money because making your own would cost far more if you had to buy the spices and herbs separately. I'll undoubtedly purchase again.

Bell's All Natural Seasoning - 1 oz Review:

Nothing else will do if you were raised on Bells. Without the "genuine Bells seasoning," stuffing is never "the real deal."We used to get it straight from Bells because we could not locate it where we were living on the West Coast, but we ran out of time for the holidays and ordered through seller Sterling101 on Amazon instead. Although we were happy it arrived on schedule, we were really dismayed to see that half of it had spilled into the plastic zip-top bag they had thought to pack it in. There is a difference between a little leakage and negligent handling that results in the majority of the priceless spice being in the bag and the box resting in the middle of the spilt spice in the bag. I know Bells spills out of its box occasionally; that's simply Bells. Spice in bag is more than in box. And I'll only use the spices that are still safely within the box, not the loose ones in the bag. Although the spilt spice is probably still edible, I can't be certain for sure that it hasn't been physically handled at some point due to the fact that it was spilled outside of its container and went through a shipping and handling process. So I only paid for the much lower amount that was still in Box. However, I am grateful for the fantastic supper that small amount supplied and that Amazon was able to give it despite my last-minute, hurried order. However, I do wonder why Bells hasn't addressed this well-known leakage issue after operating for so long. The available treatments include shrink wrap, better-built boxes, and bottles rather than boxes. Does the spice need air to breathe, making a tight seal impossible (seems unlikely given that it keeps well in a box sealed in foil)? This is a piece of the Bells enigma that is frequently brought up over some of the best spiced food in the nation. I adore Bells. However, as this review is about this specific transaction, I'm deducting a star for the product that was lost during shipping and handling yet the package still arrived on time.

Lawry's Perfect Blend Chicken & Poultry Rub, 24.5 oz Review:

I adore this spice so much. On my big gas barbecue, I cook a lot of chicken. 50–60 chicken halves may be served at once. All the people who eat the chicken afterwards gush about how much it tastes like rotisserie chicken, but I don't want to reveal my secret. I've never gotten this spice wrong. One of the big wholesale stores where I used to buy it no longer carries it. The price on Amazon is comparable.

Fire & Flavor All Natural Turkey Perfect Apple Sage Brine Kit, Perfect for Roasting, Grilling, Smoking, and Frying 16.6 Ounces Review:

About three days before Thanksgiving, my husband unexpectedly told me that he wanted me to smoke our turkey on his new wood pellet grill (I say his because he simply had to have it, even though I usually handle the grilling and will have to figure out how to cook in it, haha!). I looked into it and discovered the brining kits that were suggested for use before to smoking. I got the apple sage one from Amazon two days before Thanksgiving because I couldn't locate it locally. I also ordered another variety just in case it didn't arrive in time because I had to start the brining procedure the following night (the night before cooking). The package arrived the following day, so I was able to brine our turkey overnight and cook it on the grill the following morning. The kit provided everything I needed, and the instructions were incredibly simple to understand. Everyone praised the turkey and declared they would never eat it any other way in the future. I was quite happy with how well it turned out. Just a bigger turkey would have been nice!

McCormick Poultry Gravy, 18 oz. (2 pack) Review:

This product is really fantastic! I'm from the old school, so when I make gravy, I use all of the chicken or turkey drippings as well as some of the potato water that I used to boil my potatoes. I combine those and add the powder before combining some cornstarch and flower in a another measuring cup. I either add extra potato water or, if I have any on hand, chicken broth to this mixture. Put the potato water, McCormick poultry gravy mix, and liquid of your choice into a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and stir in the flour and cornstarch. When you add it to your gravy, it should be thick. I'll keep adding this to the gravy until it is completely dissolved and smooth. My sister was instructed by my brother-in-law to obtain the gravy's recipe, as it was the best he had ever tasted. I adore the products!
