The material has a texture with tiny bumps that makes the sticks more comfortable and enables for precision during games. Additionally, they barely alter the height at all. These are a MUST HAVE enhancement, and far better than nothing if you switched from a PS3 to a PS4 and despise the new thumbsticks like I did. I only wish I'd had them sooner... And they sparkle in the dark as an added bonus!

I enjoy playing various consoles from various eras, or essentially retro gaming. One of my systems that I occasionally play is my original Xbox. My s-model controller's joysticks started to deteriorate and lose their initial surface grip after a while of use. I purchased these and they fit my controller flawlessly; I no longer have to worry about my controller sticks wearing out completely. Additionally, the similar coverings' grip is excellent, and I have the impression that I won't slip off my controller stick while intense gaming any longer. Works incredibly well with my third-party Android controller made by Gamersir and the PS4. However, resist the urge to remove the joysticks' original PS4 grips. If the original thumb grip is taken out, this thumb grip will not properly fit a PS4 joystick. One of my PS4 controllers' thumb grips came off due to a mistake I made. There are no problems with my second controller, which still has the original grip. I don't blame this company; just heed my caution.

I have a PS4, and after using it for a while, the rubber coating on one of the analog sticks nearly totally disappeared and started to shred along the edges, irritating the pad of my thumb. Instead of purchasing a brand-new controller, I ordered them.Applying them is as simple as flipping them inside out as directed and setting them back down over the stick. They don't move, fit tightly, and don't get in the way of how the stick moves. The caps have a texture, and when you first use them, the diamond pattern will feel a little bit sharp. However, I found that I was able to get used to the texture quite quickly, and repeated usage will probably make the texture feel less sharp. I have no idea how long these will last, but they look durable, and the package definitely contains enough to replace them more than once.

I purchased this set of silicone paw pad grips because I wanted the pink ones to match my pink XBox 360 controller with pink tiger stripes. They fit perfectly and appear to be just as described. They can be a little challenging to put on, but there's a way to make it simple:1. Turn the object inside out so that the sides are rolled up over the top.2. Place the silicone grip in the control stick's middle and secure it with one finger.3. Work the sides under the control stick by slipping them back on the wrong side.4. Twist the silicone cover to position the paw in the desired position.They are of good quality, especially given how inexpensive they are. The blue grips are fine overall, however one of the toe pads on one of them was chipped. They don't offer much grip to the control stick because they aren't textured, but they are incredibly adorable as decorations. The paw pads are elevated just a bit above the grip. I was able to wrap two sets of the grips around the PS2's enormous Dualshock control sticks thanks to the silicone's considerable give.I am satisfied overall and have since attached the remaining ones to different controllers throughout the house.:-P

I've had these on my controller for more than a year, and not once have they fallen off, been scratched, or damaged; they still appear just as they did when I first put them on. I actually can't recall what it was like to play without them!

Ok I purchased these for my two DS4 controllers that came with my PS4. As many can attest the rubber on the sticks wear quickly. Mine have torn half way around each stick so I purchased these before mine fell off completely. When I went to install them, the first one went on as expected and fits nicely. The second does not have enough of a lip to go over the stick. I checked the other two (package comes with 4) and one of the others was perfect. I installed on one controller is perfect again. The other two do not have enough lip to cover the sticks with the OG rubber still on. I tried removing the rubber from the sticks leaving them just hard plastic, then the other two covers had enough lip to cover the stick but were too loose to stay on. Easy fix by putting a drop of superglue on the top of each stick and then installing the covers and now the covers stay in place. So now both my controllers have the new stick covers.The covers themselves are quite comfortable. I in fact like them much better than the stock feel. Between the two controllers, one installed over the rubber and one installed without rubber and using superglue, I am hard pressed to say which I prefer. They do feel slightly different but only slightly. I think it is just the minuscule height difference that I feel. I'm debating if I want to remove the rubber from the other controller and install with superglue also.Having said all that....I dropped a star due to the fact that there seems to be a quality control issue due to the fact that 2 fit as described and two had to be modified to work. If the manufacture reads this I would suggest that the lip on these be extended by double with a smaller opening so it would wrap the top of the sticks and then I would say they would be perfect. As they are now, better quality control would go a long way.
