I presently own a Madcatz TE-S that has been dual modified with a Phreakmods Cerberus board. I was seeking to get a second arcade stick as a backup or in case a friend dropped by, and after checking around, the Qanba Q4RAF was suggested.The Q4 is a few inches broader across than the TE-S, and it definitely seems a lot heavier, I noted once I got it in the mail. The increased size and weight of the stick, together with the fact that its entire base is wrapped in felt material, made it feel as though it wouldn't move when I played with it on my lap. This is something that absolutely fit my preferences.The dual mod that is already included in the Q4 is its key selling feature and makes it one of the few arcade sticks available that can be used right out of the box on an XBox 360, Playstation 3, or PC. You can spend $200 to have it installed by any number of reputable modders out there, but most would benefit from the peace of mind of the Q4 at $170. You can purchase a Madcatz TE and a dual modded board for $140-$160 and do it yourself (WARNING: Keep in mind, modding the stick voids the warranty and some basic knowledge of wiring/soldering may be needed).The huge carry handle at the top of the arcade stick, which makes transporting it a joy, is one significantly overlooked feature. The handle is a particularly useful feature for tournament players, local casuals, and gamers who want to bring their arcade stick over to a friend's place for some matches. However, if you want to have your stick sitting at home, you may not profit from this feature.The Q4's parts are identical to the real Sanwa parts used in Japanese arcade machines. For those who are unfamiliar with what this entails, it simply means that the joystick and buttons on less expensive arcade sticks are of significantly lower quality than those on more expensive sticks. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. Almost all competitive fighting game players use Sanwa or Seimitsu brand components in their sticks for a variety of reasons. The higher-quality sticks and buttons simply seem more responsive and are made to withstand repeated button mashing.(Note: Older Q4 reviews claimed that the Start button on the device's face wasn't a Sanwa button, but the Q4 I received absolutely feels like a Sanwa. They might have changed it for the newest sticks, I suppose.)In relation to the Start button, it is, in fact, situated adjacent to your other eight primary buttons on the stick's front panel. Some people find it to be a deal-breaker or a hassle. I am aware that within the first five or so hours of play with my Q4, I twice accidentally pressed the start button, which would result in a match loss or a DQ in competitive play. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it; perhaps I simply need to get used to using it. This might not be a problem for athletes who play with better self-control. If the issue persists, I could advise opening up the stick (I think Qanba has a 90 day guarantee) and simply disconnecting the start button, which is straightforward and easy.The Eightarc Fusion is the comparison that the Q4 most frequently receives. Products from Eightarc are produced by Qanba, making them essentially identical sticks with a few small variations. The Eightarc is around $30 more expensive than the Q4 and lacks a carry handle, a Start button next to the 8 button arrangement, and different artwork. Although the Q4's price was less appealing to me than the Eightarc's, and the Start button wasn't located exactly next to the buttons, I ultimately chose the Q4 because of the carry handle's ease and lower price.I wholeheartedly recommend the Q4 if you're seeking to enhance your game and purchase your first stick or simply looking to add another one as I was. Due to the dual modding that is already built in, it's an excellent buy for those who participate in tournaments (since the consoles they use to play the games change frequently) or if your friend has an XBox 360 but you have a PS3.

Built quality for the price is pretty great. The triggers are the best part for sure, they require a little force but are responsive each time that I click. The controller with the thumb pad is also nice and fits my S7 edge without issue. As the video shows, you can easily get the upper hand in every match. I would give this one a try if you are looking for a reliable controller.

This stick is definitely worthwhile if you're serious about fighting games, want to be able to execute moves with comfort and ease, and have additional money to spend. Pushing the buttons is quite simple and smooth. It helps to know where to move the stick because it clicks when it moves. It's large, robust, has a small compartment for storing the chord, turbo functions, and is all over excellent. This stick destroys my hori fighting stick ex 2 completely. The buttons on the hori fighting stick have started to get a little sticky, despite its reasonable quality. Granted, I've owned it for a little over a year and have played it to death. Since I don't know how to modify the sticks, I just got the tournament combat stick rather than breaking it. This stick is absolutely worth every penny, that is, if you have the additional money to spend. I was fortunate enough to find it at the appropriate moment and purchase it from Amazon when it was on sale for $99, but this stick is worth every penny regardless. The hori stick will do the trick if not, but this one is so lovely.

Before writing a review, I wanted to test this arcade stick with a number of games, and after extensive testing, I can say that it's a great entry-level arcade stick.It is big, sturdy, and well-built. It makes use of square gates, convex buttons, and a spherical joystick. Since most people who purchase a joystick these days play fighting games, it is presumably intended for those games, but I've used it successfully in other applications as well.The Experience of Arcade FightingFirst off, I'll point out that, due to the square gate, this is probably not going to be the greatest stick for the die-hard Street Fighter fan right out of the box. Unless you are accustomed to using a square gate joystick rather than an octagonal one, the quarter-turn heavy combos of Street Fighter will likely result in a lot of unsuccessful combos.On the other hand, Virtua Fighter is a COMPLETELY other animal. Playing with this stick is a complete dream because most of its combinations are high-speed, high-precision strings of high, mid, and low attacks. I was a little concerned that switching from the gamepad to the arcade stick would be difficult for me because I've spent so much time using the gamepad, but I fell in love with the arcade stick right away and will never regret using the gamepad to play that particular game.The Traditional Arcade ExperimentI must admit that I was taken aback after reading a variety of reviews on arcade sticks and learning that some individuals dislike playing Pac-Man and other classic arcade games. I felt like I was at an arcade when playing Ikaruga. I had a childlike experience while playing Dragon's Lair. To utilise with my PS4 controllers, I have numerous Xbox One thumb sticks purchased. Other than utilising a pair of broken Xbox One controller buttons, they are the best I've found. The sticks are of a higher calibre than I had even anticipated. I'm comparing these to the OEM Xbox One sticks, which is why I gave them a 4 star rating rather than a 5. They represent the norm. These are a fantastic alternative, but they fall short of the originals. Will repurchase.

First off, for everyone who has been complaining about the enormous dead zone, there is a fix. On the front of the stick, there is a toggle switch next to the headphone jack; make sure it is set to normal or narrow because if it is on wide (as it was when I opened it), you will need to move the stick almost all the way in order for your plane to move. It took me a while to figure this out because Hori really doesn't have an owners manual for it. People
