I have to admit right off the bat that I am a huge Sonos fan and have been using their multi-room audio systems since 2009. When I initially heard that Sonos was launching the Amp, I found it difficult to comprehend what they were attempting to do, but now that I have one, my eyes have been enlightened.I initially changed a receiver that I had set up for our family room entertainment system's 3.1 functionality. Without the center channel, I used the same speakers and sub that were already there, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. My satellite speakers needed very little adjustment to be balanced with the sub and to enhance the phantom center channel effect. It sounds great. Do not be alarmed by the fact that there are only two channels available because this device has a huge soundstage and amazing phantom center channel effects. I am receiving a frontal sound field that is superior to anything I have ever heard and am set up for music, movies, or TV at my best. We don't have a video or satellite box because we severed the cord. Only AppleTV and Smart TV features serve as video sources for us. The Amp's connection with the Sonos system has taken the place of our sole audio input, a Sonos ZP90.Positives: 1. Amazing sound quality—I can't express my gratitude enough for this.2. Simple set up. If you already use Sonos, using this will be just as simple as using other Sonos items. There is a small learning curve for the principles if you are new to Sonos, but it will become clear to you very fast.3. User-friendly design. One of the best qualities of the unit is this. I originally questioned why it didn't include HDMI connections to control or switch video sources, but Sonos engineers had other ideas for a far more distinct and straightforward user experience. The Amp enables your TV to manage video sources while using the ARC Audio Return Channel channel for both audio and remote applications. This includes Smart TVs as sources (when needed). The volume on the device can actually be controlled by your TV via ARC, so you can, if you'd want, use your TV remote for everything. You may set up the Amp to accept IR signals as well if you need a more complex remote system (such as an IR repeater, etc.). Simply take out your smartphone or tablet to control your music when it's time to use the device as a music player, just like you would with any other Sonos zone or device. The ability to sync TV audio to play on as many zones as there are in your Sonos system is an extra plus; this makes it possible to hear Sports TV audio during games while moving around the home or swimming.4. Versatility As a result, you are no longer forced to upgrade receivers to accommodate ever-changing HDMI video standards. If necessary, Amp even offers support for vintage analog audio sources. The Sonos app also allows you to play audio from your phone while in music mode. The system itself updates at the end, so keep a watch out for new features, etc.Negatives: 1. I would prefer to see a 4 channel version of this unit, but I understand that this is a building block that allows every system to be scalable by adding additional components where needed; you can easily go 4 channels by simply purchasing and synchronizing another Amp or other Sonos speakers.To replace my home theater setup in our upstairs entertainment space, my second amp will be here soon. At their price point, these speakers represent the absolute best value you will find, period. I was in the market for some outdoor speakers to go with a 100 inch projector screen for my terrace. I've been a user of Polk Audio for many years, in fact, my home theater is comprised of polk audio tsi's except for the main speakers which are Bowers and Wilkins. Long story short I'm a fan of more "relaxed" speakers that let you enjoy the sound for longer periods of time without any ear fatigue.Once I decided that a 4 1/2 inch cone would suffice (I'm not trying to start a war with my neighbors here) I pulled the trigger on these. I could not be more happier with my purchase. Paired with my old trusty Denon Receiver in Zone 2, and without any EQ or any crossover for that matter, these speakers have proved themselves to be an absolute bargain. Speaker imaging is spot on with plenty of detail and separation for a nice, ample and defined sound stage that makes the speakers virtually invisible. Contrary to what many have stated, I have found the bass response on these to be more than enough considering their size and the acoustic properties of my terrace (they are mounted to a concrete wall and the area is roofed) (they are mounted to a concrete wall and the area is roofed). You can clearly define all the highs and lows and since its a Polk those tweeters wont be overly aggressive , the only thing you will not get is the earth shattering base that you can achieve by adding a sub to the mix. The speakers can easily fill all my terrace and pool area (40' x 35') with sound without actually having to be loud. Another area where I was pleasantly surprised was with their performance in movies, voices, music and special effects all shine through effortlessly at any volume and yes, they can get VERY loud if you want to push them.So that's that, if your in the market for outdoor speakers I would not hesitate to check these out as long as you provide adequate power with a dedicated amp or receiver you should be good to go. Give them a proper break in and enjoy!

I bought this to use at the office. I didn't need this speaker because I had many others.I wanted one so that I could leave my noisy job as a school cleaner. I have other people with me that are really loud, but I don't want to abandon them.I use this for around six hours every night, and I charge it every three days. I use this to play Amazon music from an iPod that is connected to it. Most of us can hear the music because I have this on the loud side. We communicate through radios, and occasionally I miss a call because the music is too loud.I have fantastic sound when I play rock songs from the 1960s and 1970s. I'll buy it again if we ever drop it down the stairs and break it. I consider this to be not just mine but also ours at work. Some want to buy one once I reveal what I have.Its wheels and telescoping handle are nice features for transporting it around. This is typically on my cleaning trolley ( an old metal thing I turned into a cleaning cart).

So I was on the market for a sound system for my outdoor patio. I was hosting an event and I didn't want to purchase a system that was hard wired and a permanent fixture on my house. So I was looking for a set of wireless Bluetooth speakers. All the ones that kept popping up were those rock speakers, or speakers that were a lone speaker and they were not able to pair with another speakers to make a set. I came across these speakers and they are an amazing find. I've only had them for the last month, but they have served their purpose.So here are a few things that I liked about the speakers. When I got them, they came with a partial charge, so I was able to test them out right away. Paring them, according to the instructions, was easy as turning them on, paring them, press and play. The sounds quality was comparably to my echo dot speakers. There was little to no lag, sound wise, for the speakers with the songs that were playing. I did have connections issues, but I think that was more on the device I was using to play my music. I got some great compliments on the speakers as well, since they are different and unique. I will say that one thing you should do, if using them outdoors, is place them in a well shaded area. I live in Florida, and the sun and heat here can be brutal. After a few minutes, the speakers were hot to the touch.

I travel with this speaker and a few FiFine wireless microphones (K037B wireless headset and lavalier lapel and K025 handheld. No affiliation with that company, but they are popular Amazon purchases so I wanted to mention this). I wanted something more potent than the conventional voice amplifier speakers, but I needed something that could run without being plugged in. I was aware that while this would be larger than ideal, it would also bring a lot of value. I can use any microphone that plugs in or can be modified to fit the 1/4" input, connect my laptop via the AUX input, and pair my phone or iPad using Bluetooth.With the Bass Boost on, the sound quality for streaming music is admirable at normal volumes; having separate volume controls for the master and the mic allows me to voice-over a video that's playing from my laptop; and to call guests back in from a meeting break while we have some background music playing; so set your expectations.The AM/FM radio feature isn't really of much value to me, but it picks up a nice signal and you can set 10 presets. Setup was simple and intuitive. I held down the Bluetooth button, and the speaker promptly appeared to pair on my phone.I'm delighted the included wired mic isn't hard-connected, so you can unplug it when not in use, or use different mics. The included wired mic appears serviceable, though I don't plan to use it unless I have issues with the wireless devices.After six hours of continuous playback of streaming audio via Bluetooth, the battery meter still showed 25% charge, which should be more than adequate for me. It has a USB port for charging (1 amp, so better than 0.5, but not as fast as 2.1), which I can imagine would have a minor impact on battery life. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wanted to at least make sure I could get 4-5 hours out of it (advertised 8-10).It seems to be very well made, and sometimes I find it hard to believe that the Tailgater cost $75 less than my Bose Revolve Bluetooth speaker. However, you can't throw this in your computer bag or backpack; I wish it were more compact, but that's not the product's or the seller's fault. As advertised (or better!).

In order for us to listen to music on our deck and in our backyard, I purchased these speakers in July 2011 to put on the back of our home. Although I purchased these for a little less than what they are currently posted for, I would still be willing to spend that amount because they really exceeded my expectations. We can have extreme summer heat and humidity here in Connecticut, as well as extreme winter cold, snowy, and icy conditions. The speakers are visible on the outside because we have never taken them down, but they are still very functional. Don't expect the highest sound quality because they are not Bose; yet, the sound quality is very good and ideal for their intended application. We are not throwing wild parties with deafening music. We are parents of small children who enjoy spending time in the backyard with friends and family when music is playing, occasionally engaging in a dance-off between children and adults. I just remembered I'd never posted a review for these speakers after my husband and I were discussing how wonderful they had been. So, here I am. Really, these little outside speakers are fantastic!

reasonable speakers for the price. Since I had only been using them since 2004, I replaced some older KLH speakers that were equivalent to them. Those older speakers were from the 1990s. Installation was a cinch because I was fortunate enough to be able to use the KLH mounting brackets that were already there. Anyway, they are pretty much your only choice for a cheap set of outdoor speakers, and they are worthwhile. The Yamaha or Klipsch, which cost around $100 or somewhat less, would be the next step up. The spring loaded wire terminals are these speakers' weak spot. They need to have been a little bit more substantial, in my opinion. The terminal button will pop out if you are not careful because the clips are spring-loaded. If this happens, it's simple to put it back in, so not all is lost. When connecting them, here are some tips:1) Shorten the speaker wire after stripping it. Simply pushing the wire in the opposite direction of the spring tension and hoping that it reaches the metal conductor on the other side is how spring clips function. It won't make a solid connection if there isn't enough exposed wire.2) Use extreme caution when manipulating the spring clasp and opening it to insert the speaker cable. The spring clips are somewhat flimsy because they don't have a sturdy construction (without calling them cheap). It will work if you take care.The speakers sound decent, to sum up. You get what you paid for when you pay money. The speaker wire terminals are these speakers' weak point, therefore treat them with care because they are delicate. I'm not sure why they didn't just use screw terminals; they presumably would have been less expensive to produce and, since they were outdoor speakers, they would have prevented the speaker wire from rusting, which eventually causes the circuit to fail.

I've had these speakers up now for over a year and am very pleased with everything. I was able to place them under our eaves of our deck so that we can enjoy them both on the 2nd floor (deck) and/or down on our ground level patio. As someone else mentioned, the fact that these speakers are in the eaves, it seems like it helps the bass have a little more "boom". The sound quality is fine...probably a bit better than expected...the power is just about perfect because if I turn them up to what I consider "loud"...I can hear them at all areas of our backyard and our yard is good sized. The great thing is that the sound seems to drop off quickly (lack of true bass...probably) so that our music doesn't bother the neighbors as they can barely hear it.

Prior to the long Labor Day holiday, I just ordered my second speaker. I put one by the pool and one in a sitting area. The only speaker I've seen that allows you to connect several speakers to various interior and outdoor locations is this one. The speaker that is connected to your mobile device will serve as the host speaker, while the other speakers will serve as sub speakers. To reduce music breaks, keep your smartphone close to the speaker. The 33 feet mentioned in the guidelines is the maximum distance you can separate the others. Remember that your mobile device will save this speaker. The speaker will establish a connection with your phone the next time you power it up. The speaker's name is B210D. Just keep in mind to switch on your host speaker first, play your music, and then turn on the subwoofers. I created a quick video to show how to link your speaker with others.
