Initial impressions are excellent. Please note that I am not a medical expert and that I have no prior knowledge of trauma shears. However, when I got these, I had quite high expectations for these, and when they showed up, they exceeded my expectations. Build quality appears to be excellent. They are simple to use and snug in all the right places. I wear size M nitrile exam gloves because I'm not a huge person, and they feel excellent in my hands.Just after these arrived, I had a sudden need to cut some heavy strength nylon webbing (a fabric resembling a seat belt). The shears worked well when I finally used them to test them out. When the time comes, I'll try the shears on a pair of worn-out leather shoes I'm preparing to retire; I genuinely believe they'll cut through them very effortlessly.Despite how great they are, I wish I had purchased the uncoated stainless 2-pack. Just a few dry cuts later, the coating on the high friction cutting points was being worn off. Since no coating would likely withstand it, this was to be expected, but my concerns were confirmed. The coating is excellent in the short term, but it will most certainly deteriorate quickly. It wasn't worth deducting a star because it was anticipated and, in my opinion, unavoidable.

On the back of my upper arm, I have to wear a sensor. Uncomfortable location. I use a huge sensor-cover bandaid (SimPatch) to protect the sensor, and the SimPatch must endure for 10 days. The edges need to be trimmed since they are fraying or losing their stickiness. When you look in the mirror and see a bandaid on the back of your upper arm, imagine trying to cut the ends off of it. Not simple. I had cut myself with other scissors that weren't made to quickly and accurately cut bandages. It's a terrific set. The bandage scissors, nurse's pen light with batteries, and even an extra light bulb are included. For the modest cost, it offers a lot of things. The scissors were actually purchased for my daughter because they are safer than standard scissors but much sharper than small child scissors. I am neither a nurse or in need of medical goods. These are excellent! They perform admirably! I don't use them as a medic or anything of the sort because I'm a nurse. The color is exactly right. Exactly like the offered image. The only issue I have with them is that they are bulkier and heavier than I would want, but that is only because I don't use them like a physician would. But they fit perfectly there if you wear scrub pants with leg side pockets. But they feel extremely hefty and cumbersome when I have them in my scrub top pockets! I found just what I was seeking for in these little scissors. As a nursery nurse, I have to remove the security bands from the babies before sending them home. The parents were horrified when I approached their brand-new baby with those massive scissors because I was using them. I thus bought these scissors.
