On well-machined joints, this glue performs admirably, providing you plenty of "open time" to set your clamps correctly and align the joint accurately. I frequently use this adhesive since I adore it. When used correctly, it creates joints that are more durable than the wood. Some expert cabinetmakers choose this glue as their go-to adhesive, which is a fairly good recommendation.On the other hand, I use an alphatic resin glue, such as Titebond II, for well-machined joints on non-oily woods when I don't need open time. It is equally strong, dries more quickly, and is simpler to clean up (in my experience).The best glue for use in building is Gorilla Glue. It fills gaps and waterproofs joints, therefore I like to apply it when a joint isn't flawless. However, the glue truly only adheres where the parts fit together tightly, thus it's a technique to fortify a mechanically held junction (say by screws). Expecting this adhesive to be both strong and gap-filling is unrealistic. Because the hammering might sometimes squeeze out the glue and leave spaces on the rebound, I don't combine glue and nails too frequently.When using this glue, I always use latex gloves, and I intend to sand any surfaces I've adhered that need to be presentable.Epoxy resin can be used if high strength and gap filling are required. Use a construction glue if you require moderate strength, gap filling, and good movement tolerance. Use caulk or wood filler if you only need to repair gaps.

All surface insensitive adhesives, foams, and "poly" glues require moisture to cure. Apply to one side, wet the other side with water, then clamp for 45 minutes for a firm, watertight bond. When using, kindly don "disposable gloves." Be extremely cautious when using glue because it is incredibly persistent on the skin and difficult to remove off clothing, nearby objects, etc. No discernible smell.

I used this stuff to create a new motor mount for my 1985 Toyota MR2 (AW11). All I had to do was cut off the old rubber, burn out the remains with a torch, tape up one side, insert the metal core in the center, and then dispense this into the empty space using a caulk gun. After 24 hours, it was still soft, so I let it a week to cure. I put it on my automobile once it became firmer. It has performed admirably as a transmission mount, so I filled in the additional spaces on my other motor mounts with it to give them a little more stiffness. It's been wonderful so far, and the fact that the engine and transmission aren't tilting about helps me experience much better throttle response.For a variety of uses where I need something that attaches, is soft enough for flexibility, but strong enough not to crack or break, I'd use this product again. I'm generally really happy with Sikaflex 221!

A product like this has so many variables at play that it's difficult to assess unless you work in the industry and utilize the product frequently and in a variety of settings. It performed as promised, in my opinion, and is a good product. Understanding how much to mix and how deep to pour takes some practice. Not to mention the distance it will travel before gelling. All of these kits are overpriced, which is why I gave them four rather than five stars. Despite the fact that whole boat was the most affordable option I could locate, my insulation contractors said they can purchase this material for a far lower price.

This product is priceless if your metal roof is an older model with deteriorating screw gaskets. Work on your tan while applying a bead around each screw and teasing it with the cheapest 1" disposable paintbrush you can locate on a dry roof. Although it takes a while, our leaks suddenly stopped. Just keep in mind that the location of the leak in your roof may not always be obvious from the puddle on your floor.The older foam gaskets on certain centerline vents had also developed a problem, enabling blowing rain to penetrate underneath the vent. Clean them out, add expanding foam to the space, trim it flush, then coat it heavily with Sikaflex. Dispute settled!
