Sincere to say, there are numerous electric pumps available for purchase on the Amazon website and in actual supermarkets, and they all have a similar appearance. My air mattress inflated more quickly than I had anticipated. It also has a feature that allows you to deflate your items. I've never tried it because I don't now need it. If I discover anything negative for deflation, I'll update this review. The fact that it seems like they genuinely care about how their customers feel is another positive aspect of this product that I have seen. I hate to take away a star for one tiny flaw, but it significantly reduces the utility of this product. In all honesty, I would have removed even more points out of annoyance if I had purchased it exclusively for this use, but it worked well with an air mattress when using the other nozzle.The little nozzle fits into the valve of inflatables (such as a pool raft), but it cannot fully open the valve to let air in. I used two different rafts, and the problem persisted. If not for this use, then for what purpose was this nozzle created? It's unfortunate because the problem would have been simple for them to remedy. A carrying case for the tool and the adapters would also be helpful, although that is more of a pleasant to have.Now I have to hunt for an adapter or a solution for common pool toys.

I primarily purchased this to save time and effort when inflating my Sea Eagle 330 inflatable kayak, regardless of how distant I was from automobiles or electrical outlets. I already have an inflator that can be powered by my car battery through the cigarette lighter (HT-196A), but I'm concerned about running out of battery power in the middle of nowhere and having my car break down. I need something exactly like this HT-420.Although I had this inflator for a month and had charged it, I hadn't gotten around to getting my kayak out of the water until yesterday. I utilized the HT-420 in a dry run without charging it once more to make sure it would perform as I wanted before I used my Sea Eagle 330 this summer.Three of the four LEDs were on when I began. The gadget still had two LEDs lit when I was done inflating the three main chambers of my kayak. That leads me to believe that I might be able to blow up my kayak three or more times on a single charge, especially if I only deflate it somewhat between uses so that it can be folded and stored in my car trunk.Even though I made the mistake of pumping up a chamber on the Sea Eagle 330 without utilizing the one-way valve at first, the pumping process still took less than 7 minutes. Therefore, if I do it correctly, inflating could take only 5 or 6 minutes from fully deflated for all three chambers.The HT-420 won't fully pressurize the chambers, as other reviews have noted, but it gets near enough that using the foot bellows that came with the kayak shouldn't be too difficult.Pros: 1) The device (USB wire included) can be charged from any USB source, even an AC converter. 2) This inflates my kayak more quickly than any hand pump I own. 3) This also functions as a USB power bank for charging devices like smartphones. 4) Inflatables can also be inflated using this to help stow them away more quickly.Cons: 1) Because it only has nozzles and no hose, it must be held up against the object being inflated. I almost don't think this is a problem. To avoid using the foot pump and to save time, I would happily carry this in my palm for a few minutes. 2) Some inflatables cannot be fully inflated due to the lack of power (but it will come close). 3) The pump does appear to take a while to charge. The pump took over an hour to recharge with my AC to USB adaptor from two LEDs to all four LEDs after I used it, however I didn't time it (full charge). For the convenience of not being constrained in where I may use the inflator, I would still happily put up with it.I would certainly purchase this again. I bought this pump since it has a variety of functions. I have a hand pump that I've been using for a while, as well as one that runs on batteries. I needed a pump to deflate my space bags before a month-long journey. In addition to using the "pump" that came with my HOMEIDEAS space-saving bags, I did purchase the travel bags. The former is effective, but it requires too many to replace one of the typical space-saving bags. The hand pump had no effect at all. This pump deflated the medium-sized bag in about 5 seconds. My Shark Navigator needs roughly 30 seconds to do it. This is a beast, no doubt.Advantages: -COMPACT; this item is quite little. maybe two inches shorter and around the width of a bottle of 75 Clorox wipes. Just measured, it's almost the same width with the handle folded, but the canister piece is approximately an inch narrower (diameter wise)-Powerful; six times faster and more potent than the more recent Shark Navigator.-It is even simpler to store away and ensures that it doesn't take up more space than is necessary because the handle folds out of the way.-Random but significant: The chord, even when permanently attached, protrudes from the device's body at an angle, so wrapping it around the body reduces the cord's tension.Cons: -Gets hot quickly; this has a lot of power, which is evident in how quickly it warms up. That implies that it could deteriorate even more quickly. Sure, you can hold it by the handle, but that isn't the best option if you need to deflate something while maintaining a tight seal.Not a hose, The biggest and most annoying part of the whole situation is this. Yes, it's not visible in the photographs, so there is no deceptive advertising there, but I still considered it to be a small error. For campers, buying this is a no-brainer because it can be powered by AC, DC, or batteries. The one I purchased worked as described and did not have a difficulty keeping the batteries in their compartment. It was cool to deflate an airbed because it made packing it up much simpler than the typical "sleep on it and squash it till it's flat" method for getting a bed small enough to fit in its own stuff sack. It wasn't intended to accomplish this, so my only criticism is that the vacuum "space bag" couldn't be cleared of air. It might be able to, though, with a soft rubber attachment!

The fact that it came with both the standard 110 socket and the car/cigarette lighter converter made me fall in love with this adorable little air pump. On our camping trip over the Labor Day weekend, I really put it to the test when we inflated a giant swan island that seats six people (15 feet long) along with three other "extra large" floaties (two swans and a "rainbow sparkle island") much faster than anticipated. I still used it to re-inflate three air mattresses after that. It works great and includes all the attachments I needed. I adored it, and the cost was reasonable. If it could be made better, the attachments would need to match the air intake so they could also be used to deflate. But all in all, it's great. Still, I rate it with five stars.
