I estimate that I use each pad for at least three to four times, if not more. Additionally, they advise scrubbing the floor 6x6 feet at a time. I work on projects that are more like 12x6 feet at once, and to remove moisture and grime, I place my own tiny rectangular terry cloth shop towels directly beneath the pad. Otherwise, I would have to constantly switch. It might be worthwhile to purchase a second pad holder so you won't have to put the pads on and off while cleaning and soaking up the waste.

My kitchen floor's tile and grout were professionally cleaned a year ago by a well-known floor cleaning business. Although they did an excellent job, it cost $240! Lots of steam is produced by this product. However, I'd want to see this computer get a ton of updates. They really advise you in the handbook to not put so much pressure, but if you're scrubbing your floors you need to be able to put that extra pressure. The handle is very weak when you add the extension to steam floors. It would be excellent if the machine had four wheels so you could at least pull it along; as it is, the two wheels do not roll very well and seem to be cut very closely to the side, causing them to rub. Positively, it has a lot of applications. would also prefer a water gauge in the following design. You are unable to determine the amount of water in the machine or the amount you still have. perhaps a green light to indicate the steam is ready.

It will polish off debris and give concrete floors or stone tile floors a light sanding, but I wouldn't use it on any other kind of surface unless you know what you're doing. I recently used this in my huge tile cleaning operation, and it really worked (after the step with the bristle brushes first).The central hole portion, which fits over the black textured attachment on the skull and fastens like velcro, is intended to come out. I initially didn't understand how it would be attached, but I eventually did.When using this, make sure to use a good ventilated mask because small particles will be vomited up, which you don't want to breathe in.

I purchased this 2-pack to have additional cleaning pads for my McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner's floor attachment. I always wash our dogs' towels and bedding in hot water along with the filthy sanitary pads. This meant that occasionally when I was ready for it, the dirty mop attachment would still be in the laundry room hamper. The convenience of having a few extras on hand is greatly increased.The pads initially didn't seem to "attach" to the plastic floor component that well, as another reviewer also pointed out. However, once the steam started, everything was perfect. Apparently, the heat and moisture of steam enable the fibers to enlarge and adhere more effectively. These mop pads have a sturdy design and seem to be holding up well after several washings. Normally, I let them air dry, but they also seem to be fine after being put in the dryer. Sometimes I merely need to reshape them by slightly stretching the outer edge.

This was a replacement drive pad for the one that came with my orbiter originally. Before steam cleaning extremely soiled carpets, I agitate them with an orbiter in my carpet cleaning service. I also use it to scrub tile and grout. Given that it has been in use for many years and is identical to the first drive plate, I anticipate it will perform similarly.Note: I separated the upper and lower plastic bits on my pad drivers to make modifications. I discard the side with all the little "hooks" and then peel off the white double-sided glue. The cause is that every time you remove a pad, those tiny hooks rip up the padding, thus reducing the lifespan of your pads. After removing the adhesive, I use strong glue to adhere the velcro strips. The pads will be securely fastened by the velcro, preventing unnecessary wear and tear.

I have a St. Bernard, an Irish wolfhound, and travertine flooring. I have to scrub my tile on my hands and knees in order to actually get it clean. Simply put, that isn't really practical for the entire floor. This little bad boy quickly and thoroughly cleaned the entire floor, including the grout. The flooring is exactly as it was when we first moved home. adore it I strongly recommend it!

Kobenz's scrubber performs admirably. On recessed grout, it doesn't work perfectly, but I usually use it on my dog porch. On this 240 square foot area, months' worth of tracked-in muck can be removed in only three passes, leaving the tile appearing brand-new. It takes a couple of hours to thoroughly clean the room, so having a decent scrubber is crucial.It weighs about the same as an upright vacuum made of aluminum in terms of weight. It's significant since it lacks wheels. Even for an old guy like myself, using is simple. It sweeps back and forth with only a little push in each direction.The on-board fluid tank is not utilized by me. It doesn't carry nearly enough solution for my needs, and I've heard that some units leak. I only used it four times, but I didn't experience that issue. I'm currently using my second set of brushes.

In conclusion, the Gloss Boss is a wise investment for hardwood floors and will undoubtedly make cleaning your floors easier (or simply possible). Although a benefit, its capacity to assist with carpet and tile cleaning is not its strongest suit (products designed specifically for these purposes will do you better but at a minimum of 3 times the cost). You must know how to properly clean your floors in order for the Gloss Boss to function, though. If you have hardwood floors, it would likely take more effort than most people could generate without some sort of mechanical advantage to clean up dingy hardwood and bring it back to its former glory in more than a few areas.You will be let down if you have been waxing your floors and attempt to use the Gloss Boss (or any other polisher or floor-cleaning product) to polish them clean. The wax on your floors has deteriorated and grown sticky, making them appear unclean. Walking on it drives the dirt and grime into the wax because of how tacky it is. Not simply because nothing slides over the sticky mass smoothly, but also because trying to wipe the surface is pointless. You can clean and polish all you want, then take some Windex, spritz a little bit, and then pat the area with a paper towel. No matter how many times you try cleaning and wiping, the towel will pick up grime (the grunge is the dirt-encrusted wax). Unfortunately, you are now forced to clean the floor after removing all of the wax.PreparationYou need a chemical stripper to get rid of the wax.That seems so industrial, ooh. Don't purchase any floor-stripping products! The Polyurethane coating is meant to be removed by the majority of these. Thus, unless you want to have your flooring refinished... Ammonia works best for removing floor wax. Numerous folks will advise utilizing Windex (which is mostly ammonia). But since you have to clean everything back off the floor, you want to put as little product on your floor as you can. Blue coloring and other compounds in Windex are undoubtedly harmful. Additionally, you can purchase pure ammonia for $2–$3 (approximately 1/4 of the price of any other solution) at your neighborhood hardware or food shop. Avoid using scented ammonia. Everything smells awful, and adding colour merely makes cleanup more difficult (it doesn't hurt, but it also doesn't help). The smell of ammonia will fade after three to four hours and be completely gone by morning. Additionally, purchase some microfiber towels and a few spray bottles ($1 each at the dollar shop).Next, locate the tool rental area at your neighborhood hardware shop. Purchase one of the cleaning pads made for their floor buffer rental equipment. The pads are normally 1" thick, 17" to 20" in diameter, and cost around $6 apiece. Home Depot carries them in black, red, blue, green, and white, and while I prefer the red/medium pad, none of them are likely to scratch your floor. All that the Gloss Boss needs is a 5 12" pad. So why did you insist that I get a huge 17" pad? Well, this will save you a ton of time and money that would have been wasted on the pricey, useless 1/8" thick green/blue scrubbing pads that are made to fit these little floor scrubbers. Simply cut similar-sized discs from the 17" pad you purchased from the hardware store using one of the pads that came with the Gloss Boss as a pattern (use a box cutter). You'll receive 5 or 6 circular pads, and the extras can be used to construct excellent scrubbers for other purposes (at a cost of approximately 1/4 of the price of the useless pads made for these scrubbers). Because the pads won't spin quickly enough to cause a balance issue, you don't need to cut them into completely round shapes. Avoid making holes in the center for the pointless plastic rings that secure the "authentic" pads. Just carefully position the pads you created on the bristles of the circular brushes (the bristles and the fibers of the pad kind-of work like Velcro). Make sure the two pads don't collide while they're spinning (make them smaller if you have to). Yes, several people have complained that even the official pads have a tendency to fly off. This is the secret. Don't grab the Gloss Boss by the handle (at least not yet). The pads will stay in place and you will apply more pressure where you need it if you grip the top of the unit as you move it around the floor. Yes, during this portion, you must be on your hands and knees (or on your behind), but the Gloss Boss does the labor. You are merely moving a little bit on the floor.You could be asking yourself, "Why don't I just rent a floor buffer and ignore the Gloss Boss since I was at the hardware store buying a pad?" The weight of an industrial floor buffer, which enables it to sand the floor, is a ton. It will be difficult to move and more expensive to rent for a day than the Gloss Boss. Additionally, the large 17" rental buffer won't fit into the corners for home usage, which means you'll have to do more hand scrubbing even if it covers an open area more rapidly than Gloss Boss. You may continue to use the Gloss Boss twice a week to clean your floors, and it will remove the wax (really, the ammonia does most of the liquefying work). The hardest aspect of wax removal with a mechanical scrubber will be wiping it up at the end (and that is the same effort whether you use an industrial buffer or the Gloss Boss). You may purchase a scrubber that is heavier, more powerful, and more capable for around four times the price. For domestic use, though, the lighter, more compact, and less expensive option works just fine and might even be more useful (easier to use, store, etc.).Remove wax
