The most effective connector I've ever seen for connecting solid and braided wire as well as wires of various widths. I've used 100 of these so far without experiencing a failure. The WAGO lever nuts never come off like wire nuts do!When I was a child, my late father and I spent weekends wiring garages and additions for friends and neighbors. He showed me how to wire, went through a ton of wire nuts with me, advised me to only purchase metal insert wire nuts that are UL rated, and demonstrated to me how to use lineman pliers to twist wires and wire nuts tightly. He would have loved these Wago Lever-Nuts, which are a fantastic invention for anyone who want to ensure they have a strong wire connection in a matter of seconds without having to spend time fiddling with traditional wire nuts. Despite being more expensive, these are great for weekend projects but won't substitute wire nuts for a professional electrician.I recently used another model of Wago Lever-Nuts (the 222's) included in a Ring Pro camera set before purchasing 100 of these from Amazon. Wago push-in connectors are fine but have certain limitations because they are difficult to disassemble and remove wires from. Wider levers and transparent plastic are two big advantages of the Wago 221 over the earlier Wago 222, which is why the Lever-Nuts are an incredible enhancement.The levers on these 221s, as I just indicated, are a LOT broader than the levers on the 222s, which is fortunate because the tiny 222 levers are difficult to grasp and sometimes snap back violently. A direct impact from a 222 lever popping back swiftly almost cost me a fingernail. When you don't get the 222s' little levers locked in the open position, man, they can pack a punch.Pro: - Reusable - simply raise the levers to remove - FAR better than wire nuts for varied diameter wires. - Extremely strong grip on wires, even when the wire sizes vary greatly. With these 221 Lever Nuts - CLEAR, you can clearly verify your connection. Previously, I would solder a 12 gauge solid wire and an 18 gauge stranded lamp wire together before screwing on a wire nut.Con: - Price - significantly more expensive than wire nuts, but with the Wago 222 Lever-Nuts, I KNOW I have an unbreakable wire connection.It's uncommon for anything this new to emerge and be such a significant improvement over the state of the art technology, but I really enjoy this device.

Simply put, I appreciate solid, high-quality hardware.I've been utilizing the two, three, and five conductor WAGO connectors I got a lot around the house and for tasks for work. They are really simple to use, I don't have to remember which color nut corresponds with which AWG, and most importantly, they pack very neatly in switch/junction boxes in addition to providing a good, robust connection. I detest struggling to cram wire nuts into junction boxes, especially given that many of the more recent electronic switches are significantly larger than the older toggle switches. They also make it simple to take out and replace wiring.Many electricians in the United States dismiss these connectors, comparing them to other push-in connectors that are less dependable or to switchback slots. I've done a lot of electrical and electronic work both individually and professionally over the past 20 years, but despite the fact that I'm not an electrician, I am certain that I can spot a secure connection because I am well-versed in the National Electrical Code and National Fire Codes. Additionally, I do not want my home to burn down. These are NEC compliant and UL, ABS, and CSA listed. These connectors are far better for do-it-yourself electrical projects (their extra cost means nothing in the DIY environment). 2, 3, and 5 connections are the three sizes that are offered. It's amazing how they combine solid and stranded wire in a variety of wire gauges from 24 to 12. Additionally, they can handle 20 amps at 300 vac. The wire is slipped into the hole after raising the orange lever. The lever then descended once more. The ability of the linked wires to be tucked out of the way without the connection coming undone is a very minor but crucial feature of these connections. By doing so, a very serious issue with wire-nut connections is avoided (especially with 3 ore more wires being connected). I've used these tiny connectors to make numerous connections in constrained spaces, and the wires tuck in extremely neatly. Additionally, they come in handy for joining stranded and solid wires (e.g. wiring a smart switch to Romex wire - see image).

I'm building out a portion of my unfinished basement myself, so it will be finished gradually. Before the basement build-out is finished, I have to wire in a few new circuits that must be operational. Without this kind of attachment, I would have to take out the current wire nuts in order to add any additional branches as I advanced through the phases. In order to do this correctly, it might be necessary to properly integrate the new connection back in by disassembling an existing connection. While this is fine from the perspective of the code, it is undoubtedly less convenient and more difficult. By using these connectors, you can add new leads to existing busses almost as if you had already activated the busses. Now you can gradually add the new branches without affecting the relationships from the beginning. They aren't cheap, especially when compared to traditional wire nuts, but their applicability in a case like mine where there are incremental branch additions makes them more than worth the cost.



Lockitt POSI-TAP Assortment pack wire connectors 10-22 awg Review:


These were utilized by me to equip a car with a remote starter. The blue and red ones I used for smaller gauge wires, such as ignition, parking light, and door pin wires, while the huge yellow one I used to tap a larger Power wire 10 or 12guage to feed Power to the RS worked perfectly. They do pierce the wires well, and they are less forceful than "fold-over" style taps. Except for the data connection between the RS and the SKIM module, all connections were successful. In the end, I removed the tap and opted to connect copper to copper using the conventional "poke and wrap" method. Although the posi-tap gave a strong connection (I checked for continuity), I believe the data connection did not like the different metal for some reason. Other than that, the posi-taps appear to function effectively and are simple to use. Given the design, I don't believe they will unscrew over time, although a little tape wrapping won't harm. It would be convenient if they offered the current/amperage ratings for each size. These are a touch pricy but a good option to have in the toolbox if you're looking for something that won't damage anything.

It works perfectly. Much more practical than soldering and stripping. I connected some low-voltage audio cords in my car using it.One point. This is for around 18 to 22 AWG cables. Since the electrical contact gap in this cable holder is designed for a thicker wire, cables smaller than 22 AWG may not be sufficiently penetrated for conductivity. For my thinner wires, I used the Scotchlok with both cables in the *same* side of the lock after physically stripping both cables and twisting the copper together. Even if I move the two wires around, I still obtain a strong electrical connection because the lock keeps them together at the point of contact. When used in this manner, the lock also offered a largely mechanical grip (I tested by gently tugging on the contact, but I didn't pull too hard either.)

Recently, I went to my toolbox in search of a wire connecting screw for my electric dog fence but found none there! This listing appeared after a brief search on Amazon.It almost exactly matched the description and photographs when it arrived. Despite some of the larger caps and colors being mixed in with the smaller ones, all the colors and sizes were present. The huge ones are too big to fit in one tray, I learned when I tried to satisfy the ordered part of my brain by placing all of the like-colors in their appropriate trays. I don't mind at all. Instead of leaving them out of the package altogether, I would prefer some of the largest sizes to coexist in the trays alongside the smallest sizes.The wire screws work well so far and are simple/easy to use. It's convenient to have the tray to store them in and the range of sizes. I am content with them!



3M Scotchlok Electrical IDC 804-POUCH, Blue, 18-16 AWG (solid/stranded), 14 AWG (stranded) Review:


Purchased these to replace older LED lighting and steer clear of the subpar plastic needle-like connectors that constantly deteriorate and fail. If you can get the wire into them, they appear to operate quite well. It was difficult to find 16g landscape lighting wire that would fit in the holes, though. Even the one I found needs to have a small amount removed in order for it to fit, and the splice line needs to be forced into the groove using needlenose pliers. The waterproofing liquid that is within the connectors goes all over your hands and tools, but I can't really fault the connector for that because that is just how it is. Anyhow, I'm hoping these hold up. I would like to make a suggestion to 3M: why not create a version of these particularly for 14/16g landscape lighting wire that can support the (much) thicker insulation? You could earn a fortune for the low voltage lighting sector if you made them dark brown or black to mix in with groundcover!
