I must have merely been lucky to receive a flimsy plastic component. I can't conceive that the plastic component was overstressed during installation to result in this breakdown. sent the seller a message with pictures and a replacement request. The equipment only lasted a month in use before it failed. The vendor has agreed to deliver a replacement switch without charging you anything. I got my order on April 11, 2019. It had a splash guard attached. It was an exact match for our 1999 SS800. The trim ring in the sink is not the original brushed stainless/chrome trim ring; it is glossy stainless/chrome and is devoid of any writing. Nothing to worry about; the lady is content. This item is pre-assembled. Look very closely at the large rubber gasket (Part F - Support Compressible) BEFORE you disassemble it for installation to see how they have it attached to Part A, the sink flange. The first two times I tried to install the gasket, I went too far. The bottom edge of the sink flange should be covered by the large rubber gasket, which should wrap around from the sides. There is no need to try to press the mount ring over the rubber gasket; it should automatically fall into place. You've pushed the gasket on too far if part E, the mount ring, won't drop down over the big rubber gasket. Simply lower the gasket until the rubber encircles the sink flange's bottom edge.

Purchase this right away! When my mother-in-law moved in with us recently, she brought with her a sink stopper that kept water in the sink. The sink stopper we had was something we had tried before, but it wasn't very good. I picked up a few from the neighborhood hardware stores—might as well utilize the old stopper! After ordering it after reading positive reviews on Amazon, I installed it in the sink and found that it performed admirably. Dispute settled! Prior to being recently incorporated into the City Limits, our 1930s home had always been on septic, but the addition of sewage and water allowed us to install a much-desired garbage disposal. The issue was that the kitchen was never wired for such an expansion, and an all-tile backsplash left no area for a new wall switch. How do I conveniently turn the disposal on and off after piping the new disposal and installing a straightforward 120 outlet under the sink? The solution is this gadget! Mount the unit easily to the wall of the under-sink cabinet, plug it in, route an air tube to the switch button, and either have or create a hole for the button on the sink top (We already had an existing hole used for the now removed soap dispenser). It only took five minutes to install this device, and it functions perfectly. Because the two outlet version was roughly the same price as the single outlet version and we planned to eventually add another under-sink gadget, we chose it (Water heater etc).This device would also be excellent for a wet bar, an island-style sink, or any other use where installing or upgrading a new wall switch would be difficult or prohibitively expensive.

Fit well over an InSinkErator ProSS 333 in my sink. The item I received differed slightly from the photo (see my customer picture of what I received). It was not a problem for me because this product resembled the baffle it was meant to replace more than it did. A combination gasket and baffle, similar to the InSinkErator SMG-00 Standard Mounting Gasket, Rubber, Black, was used for the original baffle. When I attempted to pull it out for cleaning, I was unaware that it was all in one piece and unintentionally tore the original baffle. The grooved edge of this product fits snugly with the lower rim of the sink flange, which is the tube that extends downward from the sink itself. It sits a little bit higher in the flange tube than the original because it fits on the flange rim, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. It turns out that the material is quite malleable and quickly opens up under the weight of water, etc., contrary to my first concern that the rigidity of the material would prevent water and debris from flowing through it. Although the original baffle can be covered by this device, the water flow is significantly constrained. I simply used a sharp knife to cut the damaged baffle free from the gasket before installing this device. Although it costs a bit more than the same original product, this product can be fitted without removing the InSinkErator. To me, that was worth the extra $5!
