I don't believe it needs to be attached to the wall because it is sturdy enough to stand alone. I like this stance a lot. It looks really fashionable and accomplishes EVERYTHING I wanted it to. Assembly went well. Like anything you buy these days, the directions are often lacking. However, my spouse, who has an excellent eye for detail, claimed it wasn't too awful. We've witnessed worse. It barely took a half-hour or so. We made no rush whatsoever. It carries everything I need it to hold and fits perfectly in the location I want it to. I purchased a few baskets to store items on the bottom two shelves because I am not using them for shoes. How much I like it startled me in a good way. I am VERY pleased with my purchase and would suggest it!

To test it out, we bought and assembled one. We purchased a second one right away, put it together, and placed them side by side in our hallway as entryway storage for everyone's coats, hats, shoes, bags, etc. Excellent and perfect!This product assembles well if all the screws are placed LOOSELY so that everything can be eased into place, screwed loosely, and then all the screws are tightened. All of the instructions are drawings. We completed the task by carefully following the instructions and paying attention to the helpful images. The product is high-quality, and the holes line up. The accompanying tiny screwdriver and all screws are of high quality, but using an Allen screwdriver makes assembly even easier. We are incredibly happy with this purchase.

This coat rack is exactly what I needed! It fit perfectly in my modest mud room. The only drawback was that it came with a tiny chip under the corner of the bench seat, which I believe was caused by the wrapping, which wasn't quite right for the contents. When I contacted the business, the agent told me they didn't have the replacement item in stock but did offer a partial refund. The minor flaw on the corner's underside is not a deal breaker for me. Additionally, I discovered that the shelf heights are a little lower than shown in the photographs due to the seat support, so I had to purchase different baskets than I had originally planned. Overall though, I'm really pleased with the purchase and the business's responsiveness!

This bench with a coat rack is fantastic. It's quite durable. The wood is lovely and is little worn. It appears upscale. The assembly was simple. Use the included allen wrench to tighten only the screws. It takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes when done slowly. Despite being only photos, the instructions are relatively simple to understand. The appropriate letter is written on the bag containing each set of hardware. It was quite simple to locate everything. I advise securing the upright poles to the bench first, then after the bottom of the upright poles has been secured to the bench, securing the top half of the coat rack to the poles. For me, this worked considerably better.

For our front entryway, this bench seat works perfectly. I was apprehensive about the product's dimensions when I originally ordered it, but Amazon Customer Service was wonderful in giving me the choice of a return with a UPS pick-up at no cost if the item was not the size I wanted (I called them before I ordered). The bench/unit is just the width I was searching for for my space at 39 inches. The bench's storage shelf is excellent and can fit roughly six pairs of shoes. Everything took me approximately an hour to put it together by myself. Because many of the pre-drilled holes for screws where the hooks go did not line up with the holes in the hooks, it was difficult to get them on properly and I deducted one rating for that. It must be firmly attached to the wall as well; else, it will sag. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Since my apartment is small, I purchased this to replace my previous shoe rack. The coat hangers are too close together for this rack to be practical if you have many people living with you, even if it worked for my apartment. My sweatshirts and jackets would touch the top shoe shelf where I kept my boots if I hung them on the bottom hangers. They have nice coat hangers. My keys and caps are hung on the lower hanger. Although I'm not sure exactly what the overhang bar is for, if you have hangers, I suppose you could use it for larger jackets as well. However, overall, this does all I need it to do in my flat pretty effectively.

Perfect for keeping my family's shoes, handbags, coats, and backpacks. It has two shelves at the bottom, which I adore. School shoes, flip flops, and house shoes can all be stored close to the door by my children. With the additional bottom shelf, we can store a pair of shoes on the floor and on each shelf for our family of five, giving each person three alternatives for shoes at the front door. Instead of having the choice to hang things on hangers, if I could make one modification, it would be to add a shelf to the top. Come winter and snow gear, I could have a different opinion on that!

The item is incredibly strong despite being made of particle board and wood (especially the bench seat). Though quite simple, assembly required some time. Piece has a plastic bottom, is flush with the floor, and is VERY simple to move. comes with a wall mount on top as well for further support. The piece is attractive and ideal for young children to sit on, climb, and keep their school supplies off the ground. Atop-decorating a structure can also help it appear taller.The Bad: A few screw holes were missing, assembly definitely requires two people, and there isn't much of a "distressed" appearance. Although it still complemented our room's decor, the fact that it was essentially all black was a touch disappointing. Although the storage space above and below is not particularly large, it would be adequate for umbrellas, children's shoes, and other travel trinkets.It's a lovely piece overall, and the "distressed" aspect was helpful when we unintentionally put our own finishing touch.
