Smart Plug Compatible with Alexa Google Assistant IFTTT for Voice Control, Teckin Mini Smart Outlet Wifi Socket with Timer Function, No Hub Required, White FCC ETL Certified Review:

2/16/19 - I first bought (2) 4-packs. since made another 4-pack buy. Very erratic setup (see description below), but once set up, they function well! I use them for lamps in my home in addition to Christmas lights because I can turn them on and off remotely and set timers in the app. discovered how to remove scenes (had to swipe them off the screen in the app). The UL certification is making me a little curious. Both the packaging and the units themselves make no mention of their UL listing. I'm unsure of the level of confidence we have in the security of these units.————————11/30/18 - Amazing how wonderfully these perform. I'm using them to manage my home's Christmas lights. While walking the dog, enjoy abruptly turning on and off all the lights. Have one on the coffee maker as well so that we can just turn off the outlet with our phone when we leave the house and aren't sure if we turned off the coffee maker. It had a shaky setup. My phone needed to be connected to the 2.4GHz wi-fi. Then, after connecting each plug, our wi-fi network would briefly go wild and lose connection with all of the connected devices. Additionally, when connected, each plug appeared to function slightly differently. But once set up, they function flawlessly!(Now, I'd be happy if I could find out how to delete certain scenarios I mistakenly added to the Smart Life app. It doesn't seem possible for me to erase such scenes.)

Leviton GFNL1-W R02-Gfnl1-00W Self-Test Tamper Duplex Gfci Receptacle With Guide Light, 125 V, 15 Amp, White Review:

Good results Immediately comes on if or when you turn off the room's lights. produces good light The hot and neutral plugs reflect light, creating a cool silhouette appearance. It has excellent safety features, too. When you switch the power back on, you must reset it because it is shipped in the "tripped position." If, however, it notices that you connected it incorrectly, it won't reset. (For instance, it won't reset if the hot line-in is connected to the hot load side.) If you're wiring downstream non-GFI receptacles to give GFI protection, make sure you understand the Line and Load Side(s). It occasionally is too bright, especially if you enter the room and are gazing straight into it because to its positioning, thus an infinite dimmer would be excellent (as far as I know it lacks). When your vision is set for the night, you may experience a deer in the headlights problem. It would be best if you could position it such that it faces away from you as you enter the room. For my position, I didn't need to cover the LED with translucent tape to reduce brightness, but your mileage may vary.

[2 Pack] BESTTEN Tamper-Resistant GFCI Outlet Receptacles (15Amp 125Volt), LED Indicator, Decor Wall Plates and Screws Included, ETL Certified, White Review:

No matter if the fault indication light is on or not, it always displays green. I checked to see whether the installation was correct using both internal and external testers. I also checked to see if the fault operation was working normally. Only the fault indicator light was failing to "switch off" as instructed. It's not just one because I bought two of these and they both have same issue. Not happy about this at all! The fact that they are not performing exactly as promised doesn't give me much comfort because I am using them in a saltwater aquarium arrangement.UPDATE: Bestten Customer Care got in touch with me and offered to repair the defective units. They have come and are operating flawlessly. My total rating has been raised to 5 stars. Bestten Customer Service is awesome!

[10 Pack] BESTTEN GFCI Outlet (15A/125V/1875W), Tamper Resistant GFI Receptacle, Decorative Wall Plate Included, ETL Certified, White Review:

For the price, these plugs are pretty great! It was a little challenging to get the wire to form a "C" shape beneath the screw, but I eventually managed to get them all. The exposed cable can be inserted directly into the receptacle with these, which is a wonderful feature, although I couldn't always do so. My home is so ancient that it doesn't have a whole house ground, so I can rest easy knowing that my 3 prong outlets are safe.

Smart Plug Gosund Smart Wifi Outlet Works with Alexa and Google Home, 2.4G Wifi Only, No Hub Required, ETL and FCC Listed 4 Pack [Upgraded Version] Review:

Reviews can often complicate the process of buying something. A review ought to cover the item's quality, cost, and other information that would be useful to the consumer. Because of all the dubious reviews, I was cautious to buy these "smart plugs" like you were. I didn't want the inconvenience of having to return the item because the procedure has gotten so complicated.I received the box of four smart plugs I ordered, all of which, incidentally, are remarkably similar to one another. Because they are all mostly produced in China.Actually, the packing was extremely excellent. Each plug featured a separate, secure area as well as a covering of plastic that served as protection for the plug itself. These "smart plugs" were really intelligently packed, even if I dislike needless packaging. You have probably read a ton of comments about the absurdly small instructions. Despite the fact that I have healthy eyes, I completely understand how some people might require a super magnifying glass to read this instructions. Although I could read the instructions, this business should pay me or someone else to write an easy-to-read instruction page that includes pictures. Due to this, I decided to take a moment and thoroughly explain how to attach the plugs. The main line is that, provided they are put appropriately, these plugs definitely work and perform well. The most of you already know what these plugs accomplish, but for the few who are still learning, allow me to take a moment to explain how they operate. You will insert this "smart plug" into your outlet before plugging any desired appliance (light, etc.) into it. Once everything is configured, you may use Google/Amazon voice commands, the third-party app (which we'll talk about in a moment), or your Google/Echo app to switch on or off the lamp (or whatever). What if I don't have an Amazon Echo or Google Home? No worries, you can use the third-party app to control your smart plug; voice commands, however, are not supported. (An example of voice command is entering a room and asking Google to switch on the living room lights.)Are you all still with me? Start with the setup. Grab your phone or tablet and download the app that is compatible with these plugs as your first step. I want to take a moment to emphasize that I HATE HATE HATE having to download another app. I detested having to set up yet another account and password. And I absolutely detested having to give this app my address. That might turn off many people just by itself.Alright, let's continue. Why can't I just add these plugs to my Google Home or Amazon Echo app is a common query. The good news is that you may and will, but you must first configure these connectors via a "third party app."Which app should I install? Is one app superior to the others? Naturally, this is equivalent to asking if you would like diet coke or diet pepsi. It's a personal preference. I have Google Home, and based on what I've read, the "Smart Life" app is the one I'm recommending right now.Your wifi password and a few additional pieces of information will be requested by the app. Don't forget to store your password for this app along with your other passwords in a secure location. After downloading, you are prepared to use. A "power button" may be seen on the plug's side. Never press that button. Your "Smart Plug" must be plugged into an outlet. The power button should begin blinking blue in a few seconds. Simply hit the power button if yours doesn't start flashing blue right away. The "smart plug" is "reset" via this process.Grab your phone, launch the app, and then adhere to the directions. The setup will take a moment, but it's quick and painless. In essence, your wifi is used to read the plug and upload it to your app. Additionally, you will be given the chance to "name" the appliance.

Smart plug ESICOO, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant & IFTTT, ETL Certified, Only Supports 2.4GHz Network, Smart Outlet No Hub Required, Control Your Devices from Anywhere (White 4 Pack) Review:

These smart outlets are simple to install, offer a wide range of capabilities through the Smart Life app (which is accessible through the App Store and Google Play), and can be automated after they are set up and ready for use. Not to mention how simple it is to utilize voice commands once Alexa or Google Home Assistant are installed.Prior to buying these outlets, I had never owned a smart outlet and, to be very honest, didn't think I needed one. I now firmly think that many daily actions that would otherwise be tedious or require you to repeat an action may be made fun and easy by automating some of the steps (that can easily be overlooked or forgotten). Numerous methods exist for turning on and off your devices, lights, or appliances, and when combined with Alexa, Google Assistant, or even Siri integration, the ease of smart outlets is elevated to a new level. For instance, consider leaving your pet at home in a warm section of your home while you go on a trip. You don't want them to become overheated while you're away. You can connect a window air conditioner or a fan to this smart outlet if your home lacks central air conditioning. You can program automation in the Smart Life app to have the fan or window air conditioner come on when the outside temperature reaches a particular threshold. Set up a second automation to have the outlet switch off when the outside air temperature returns to a specific level. It's that simple, and your pet will remain cozy and comfortable, allowing you to concentrate on your vacation rather of worrying about how well your pet is doing back home. Likewise, there are no longer any lighting timers from the past. Simply create a timetable for the on- and off-times of the outlets. While you're on the road, you can easily modify the lighting schedule. You can execute an activity in locations you only seldom visit, such as a cabin or second house, which is one of the very unusual uses of the outlets. To make it cozy when you walk through the door, you can set a heater, fan, or air conditioner to turn on a few hours before you arrive. Just before you pull up, turn on the lights so that you won't have to carry your baggage around in the dark. Do you or your kids frequently forget to turn off tiny appliances? For instance, to lessen the chance of a fire, set the socket the hair curling iron is plugged into to shut off automatically when you leave the house for work or school. In keeping with this, why not pre-heat your hair curling iron just before you enter the bathroom to use it so you don't have to wait for it to get hot? Would you like a day without the internet for you or your family? Simply connect your wireless router to the smart outlet and program an automatic shutdown timer. Better better, if you suddenly decide to take a vacation from being online, just ask Alexa or Google to turn it off for you.I could go on and on about particular uses for these outlets, but you should read the rest of this article for my pros and drawbacks on the design, setup, and use of these smart outlets.DESIGNPositives: I like how the spherical plugs feel and look.- A tiny blue LED that can be seen in the front to show whether the outlet is on or off (And to assist with outlet setup)- To regulate the outlet even when you don't have access to the app, the on/off button on the side is an excellent concept.Cons: Although the circular design is attractive, plugging it in does take up a lot of room, especially if you're using a power strip. Actually, it can occupy three outlets on a power strip. (Justification for the 4-star rating)The outlet might be a little bit narrower, which would make it even more convenient to use behind desks, dressers, and other difficult-to-reach places.- Could use a labeling area on the back (There is no way to identify which outlet is which when unplugged)SETUP/USEPros: Installing the Smart Life app on my iPhone was quite simple.- Controlling the outlets with Alexa was seamless, really simple to do, and a lot of fun.- I appreciate the variety in how the Smart Life App may be used to regulate outlets. - The Automation function is excellent! I have a window air conditioner, and I can't wait to experiment with using automation to turn it on when the outside temperature reaches a specific threshold. Quick homepage buttons can be found in the "Scene" feature. On the app's home screen, there is a very readable display of the outlets.- The IFTTT integration went fairly smoothly, and I always like how versatile this platform's offerings are. Congratulations on making it work with them!- It's a great idea to let users of the Smart Life app to name each plug individually in addition to selecting the placement for them.- I adore how Siri is integrated with Smart Life!- Can grant access to specific outlets to other family members, which is a big plus depending on the gadgets and spaces you wish to regulate. Excellent for use with gadgets or appliances that have to be plugged in behind furniture or in confined spaces. Cons - The app's voice-activated feature is mediocre. It might occasionally comprehend me and other times it wouldn't. - -

[2 Pack] BESTTEN Tamper-Resistant GFCI Outlet Receptacles (20 Amp & 125 Volt), LED Indicator, Decorative Wall Plates and Screws Included, ETL Certified, White Review:

For many years, I have fitted new or replacement outlets. The installation of this GFCI was by far the trickiest I've ever done. The markings on the back of the gadget are quite difficult to read, despite the fact that the instructions are reasonably simple. The positioning instructions for the line, load, and wire are written in very slightly raised letters on the black plastic. To read anything on the unit's back, I had to hold a bright light at an angle. The next issue was getting the wires to stay in the holes after the correct wiring had been found. Once the screws are tight, they begin to catch on objects other than the wire. As a result, the wire appears secure, which is untrue. The wire emerges from the hole when the unit is moved, and the screw tries to be tightened again. The screw finally tightened against the wire and kept it in place after numerous failed attempts. When it is delivered, the retaining screws are not put in. Not a big problem if you only do one of these. The time it takes to put the screws to the device increases if it is a bigger undertaking and you need to install a lot of these.Overall, a good value, but if you plan to install numerous of these, spend a little more on equipment made for experts.

1 Pack - GFCI Duplex Outlet Receptacle - Tamper Resistant 15-Amp/125-Volt, Self-Test Function with LED Indicator - UL Listed, cUL Listed - Wall Plate and Screws Included, White Review:

The product is fully functional and performs as promised. As long as you are capable of following the necessary safety precautions and have a basic understanding of electrical installations, installation is simple.

TOPELE 20Amp GFCI Outlet, 125 Volt Weather-Resistant Receptacle, Indicator with LED Light, Nylon Wall Plate and Screws Included, White Review:

purchased a few months ago; so far, no issues.Because it has recessed ports to accommodate two pairs of wires, hot and neutral, installation is quick and uncomplicated. When the top outlet is plugged in, the LED indication is positioned near the middle, making it a little difficult to see, but I won't take away a star for anything so little. That is more than made up for by a bright white wall plate that conceals attachment screws; overall, it has a very clean appearance. The use of a tamper-proof design requires some work, but it prevents plugs from coming out on their own.

Faith Electric 15A GFCI Outlet Slim, Non-Tamper-Resistant GFI Duplex Receptacle with LED Indicator, Self-Test Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter with Wall Plate, ETL Listed, 1-Pack, White Review:

In my 60-year-old home, I purchased this to replace a normal outlet close to the kitchen sink. Very constrained for the boxes being used at the time. In actuality, I was unable to both insert the wall and link the wires to the screw terminals. The cables had to be directly attached from the back, and I had to tighten the screws to clamp them in place. The outlet box was made of metal, so I had to wrap it with electrical tape once to prevent the terminal screws from coming into contact with the metal. Press the reset button immediately upon installation. The indicator light is nice because it lets me know it's still functional.
