It's effective stuff! To keep sparrows out of a game bird run, we tried using bird netting, which failed spectacularly. But this stuff was just fantastic. It is dimensionally stable, strong, and long-lasting, and the black color ought to stand up well to UV rays from the sun. Very simple to roll out onto our current wire, and your eye "overlooks" it because of the dark hue. At double the cost, it would still be a good deal.

I've now bought this item twice, and I'll buy it once more for my garden the following year. I have a poor bug buffet because I garden in a P-Patch that doesn't use pesticides. I had no potatoes last year because of flea bugs. After planting this year, I used a basic bungee cord to fasten the netting around my potato box. Because neither the bamboo sticks nor the netting tore, I added them to raise the height.Additionally, a 4 foot tall 'rough' enclosure was constructed using only pvc pipe and this netting. Even better than my neighbors, I don't have any aphids in my tomato plants. I did at first, perhaps living in the ground and hatching, but once I was in control, no more could enter.I'm planting potatoes, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, and collard greens in the netting to keep bugs out. I'm fighting leaf miners, aphids, and cabbage butterfly larvae right outside the netting.The squirrel who lives here keeps on burying peanuts in my area has so far avoided the netting.I did see a crow remove the improvised wire stake I had been using.If you employ common sense, this material is more durable than you might imagine. Although I'm sure I'll have to cut the edges, I intend to use or reuse them again.The fact that you can water through this netting is a huge plus.The only drawback is that the edging is unfinished but does not fray quickly.ADVICE FOR GARDENSMAN:Plan ahead and create a pvc rather than wood frame to prevent tears.Avoid using bricks and instead use stakes you either buy or construct. I bought this to try and stop my neighbor's leaves from blowing into my backyard area since once inside, they don't blow out again. I "weaved through" the openings with driveway marker poles to attach into the ground, and it works fairly well. Although I did purchase some 4-foot fencing for the next year, I wish I had purchased 3- or 4-foot fencing instead. The only downside to this item (apart from height) is that it seems like some tiny animals (squirrels, rabbits, etc.?) also wanted to access that area of my yard. In order to fit through some of the small breaches, they chewed through the bottom portion of the fencing.

I covered the top and sides of two raised bed gardens with lining. Deer would love to eat many of the plants in one of the gardens, but they haven't figured out how to get in and haven't touched any of it. In the second, I didn't overlap the netting enough, which let them to get inside and wander about (there were hoof prints all over), where they ate everything—even peppers. Therefore, this material is fantastic and works perfectly, but you must ensure that there is a generous overlap of material at the edges to prevent the entry of those enormous ninja rats.

This item is very well crafted and fulfills my requirements. The size was the only aspect that startled me. The 3' X 4' measurement is reportedly the size before stretching. I had to fix the hooks one square in on width and two squares in on length in order to utilize it in my 3' X 5' tent. It functions perfectly, but there is extra net hanging from the side and end. This material is extremely robust. I put it through several tests to see whether it would fail. It survived everything I could think of a deer doing to this fence, including pulling on it, stepping on it, and stretching it as far as I could. Deer appear to do things that are impossible, however I wouldn't say they are the embodiment of evil, and I won't suggest that ANY fence is deer proof. Definitely a deterrent, this fence. The netting was not tangled or unrolled, and the delivery was delivered fast. I looked into every local alternative I had, and THIS PRICE was the BEST I COULD FIND. The same size was required ten times more by Tractor Supply. Home Depot only carried a smaller size, for four times the price, and didn't stock the 7x100. If I ever needed another one, I would without a doubt buy this one up.

After discovering that the deer had eaten the tops of every plant in my garden every morning, I eventually purchased this mesh. According to a friend, deer feel concerned if they come across an obstruction that they can't see, so perhaps that is why this product is so effective. Because it is so little, the mesh is invisible unless you are extremely close. The deer haven't eaten anything since I spread it over the plants in my garden.
