This system is the best option if you own a Sundance spa. This item is often positioned in a small slot in the flow gate of the filter where it is out of the way. I used to have trouble balancing the chemistry of the water because I used bromine or chlorine tablets in a floating dispenser. This system is practically setup once and forget now that I've begun using it. I add water to the tub, adjust the alkalinity, ph, and hardness as necessary, then install the SunPurity cartridge and add roughly an ounce of oxidizer to the water. I'm done now. The water doesn't require any maintenance after adding an ounce of oxidizer once per week (and roughly half an ounce after using the spa) and a quarter of a capful of chlorine shock per week. After a few hours, the chlorine odor goes away, and the water continues to smell and look fantastic for weeks.

I'm speaking of a spa. I mean, I have nothing against people making money, and selling accessories has a large profit margin. However, the neighbourhood shop is simply taking advantage of consumers when they charge twice as much for the same exact thing. Although it may have been produced in the same facility and may have gone by a few different names, this filter is basically simply a hot tub filter. Nothing special. Way to go, Amazon! It was half as expensive, came in a timely manner, and at a terrific price.

I don't even order chemicals to clean the filter myself because of the price; instead, I just throw the filter out when it becomes too dirty. Hey............ I will always order this product because of the value it offers in comparison to the price Hayward charges for the identical filter. I have three filters running constantly since I have a bit of an OCD when it comes to keeping my pool clean. To make them survive at least 18 months to 2 years each, I rotate them.
