COLORBACK 12,800 Sq. Ft. Mulch Color Concentrate, 1-Gallon, Red Review:

Given that this concentrate just went on sale for less than $40, it is more affordable to purchase this concentrate than to simply purchase the gallon stain sprays, which cost about $20 per gallon. The lack of a measuring cup, which is necessary to combine the concentrate with water at a rate of 4 ounces per gallon, is my main criticism of this product. After mixing it, simply spray it. Essentially, this is basically mulch with a natural wood stain. The most crucial step is to make sure the day is entirely dry because it takes this around 6 hours to completely dry and set into the mulch. Like any stain or paint, the stain works but can be messy to apply, and you have to check for overspray. Additionally, depending on the area you are working on, you might need several gallon mixes because you might need to apply more than one coat to achieve a deep, rich color. This works to stain the mulch and restore its color, but it won't do much to cover the dry patches where you need extra mulch. It is a little less difficult than mulching continuously, especially if you still have a ton of leftover old mulch.4 stars

COLORBACK 4,800 Sq. Ft. Mulch Color Concentrate, 1-Gallon, Green Grass Review:

This stuff appears to be sturdy and applies well. Due to the amount of rain we've received, I'm attempting to spot in and blend certain sections of brown patch in California rather than applying over light, dry grass. When sprayed over, the darker brown appears to clash with the mid-Atlantic region's green tall fescue. The business is a pleasure to work with and stands behind the goods. In an effort to create a lighter base and brighten the green, I'm going to attempt misting some white grass and field striping paint over the darker brown. This is exactly what you need if your grass looks and feels like straw. That is not yet the intention if you have dark brown spots where it has rained too much. I'm going to use white as a base under the green to see if I can get the correct blend.

LawnStar Brown Mulch Paint, 32 fl. oz. - Makes Faded, Colorless Mulch Look New Again - Cost Effective, Eco-Friendly Dye Solution for Old Mulch (Covers 2,000-2,500 sq. ft.) Review:

I used newspaper shredded as a garden mulch. (It's a fantastic method to reuse them). AND there is free stuff. The only issue with that is how ugly it is. I combined and misted some of this coloring... NOW seems fantastic. Later, I'll upload a photo. I'm about to purchase red mulch since a friend of mine needs to replace his red mulch. Instead, we'll give this a shot. a good product.

EnviroColor BF0032 851612002018 2,400 Sq. Ft. Black Forest Mulch Color Concentrate, 2400 Square Feet, Review:

I'm constantly looking for methods to cut costs, avoid wasting time, and use the convenient Amazon button (so satisfying and addictive). I was recently astonished by the sticker price of some coloured chopped wood while purchasing mulch for the front beds at my neighborhood lawn and garden store. I believed I could skip a few bags in favor of buying a bottle and sprayer because I remembered my research from the previous year regarding this product. Once I got it, I was careful when mixing because this stuff will seriously ruin your new Nikes or that great shirt you bought at that concert you faintly remember from the 1990s. Actually, I didn't measure the quantity at all; rather, I just poured the stuff in like a skilled, inebriated chef who knows that more is always better (could you picture running inside and fetching a measuring cup from the drawer for this? If my wife found out, I would be back on Amazon replacing it with a far more expensive one. I started applying the black dye to my aged brown mulch and was astounded by the quick effects. A super bowl victory and a "look this out, told ya it would work" were the results of the quick gratification and the one victory, which generally translates into another foolish purchase that my wife will constantly remind me of. My yard now looks like new money after four gallons of unmeasured contents, albeit I still need to buy a few more bags of mulch to repair a few locations where the kids and dog had kicked the mulch out of the bed. As the kids, dog, and yard rats (Squirrels) shift the mulch around, revealing the unattractive layers of old mulch, you will need to reapply throughout the season. Don't worry if you're inquiring about rain. I've already had a few storms, and it seems to hold up well. You must keep in mind that even products you buy at the shop may fade, and given the cost and appearance, reapplying is acceptable to me. Excellent purchase; highly recommended. (Note: Before applying dye, you might want to rake your beds to give them a fresh appearance.)

EnviroColor 2,400 Sq. Ft. Sierra Red Mulch Color Concentrate Review:

So far, I really like the color of the mulch!PROS:It is lively. Compared to actual red mulch you can get at the shop, it is brighter and appears to stay red longer (which faded faster under the direct sunlight and rain). It has so far withstood rain well. I haven't noticed any color running, but you should still schedule your day so that there won't be any rain for at LEAST 24 hours. Even better is 48).- I had no issue combining this and spraying it (with a regular sprayer that you would typically use for insecticides or weed killer, though you'll still need to thoroughly clean the sprayer because it's a "paint" otherwise it may clog).- As you can see in the attached photo, the mulch in my yard has become gray after originally being cedar in color. Many of my neighbors have already remarked on how much better it looks. Even though my yard is still being built, this really helped it stand out and look gorgeous! (While doing the yard, you'll also notice that I got a touch lazy and sprayed over some leaves as well.CONS:- Extremely sloppy cleanup. You'll need a place with soil so you can rinse the sprayer out—NOT concrete since it stains quickly. Before becoming transparent, the reddish solution will run for some time. Wear soiled-resistant clothing. It will smear.- You should go over the mulch a few times (at least). The ancient, faded color stands out against the red immediately if someone steps on the mulch or picks up pieces of wood. Spraying one coat, waiting a few days, and then spraying another is something I strongly advise. This makes each mulch "wood piece" more evenly coated.I'm quite pleased with the outcomes overall! There is a LOT of mulch in my front yard, and mulch has been used in place of grass on both sides of the walkway. I've only required two bottles of this product thus far (1 which is still nearly full). This will also receive two coats of paint. It has a big impact.Image 1: The front yard after two coats. PICTURE 2 shows the color before and after, to give you an idea of where I started. Only a brief, once-over application of red mulch spray is made. After two complete coats, the outcome looks considerably better.

COLORBACK 12,800 Sq. Ft. Mulch Color Concentrate, 1-Gallon, Brown Review:

I'm thrilled with this purchase. The first 20 feet or so of the enormous wooded area behind my house resemble a giant flowerbed and would require far too much mulch. In order to make the contrast between the mulched and unmulched areas of the light-colored soil less obvious, I mulched all along the edge about 2-3 back and then used this colorant to color the SOIL. Here are two pictures I took: one before I used the colorant and one after. However, I believe the color is much more uniform than it was before I added the colorant. Of course, colored soil does not appear exactly the same as colored mulch. The third image shows a flower garden in my front yard where I recently removed some old bushes, planted a number of new flowers, and partially mulched the area. I dyed the old mulch to match the new using the colorant. Now everything appears to be quite consistent. The next time, I'll use laytex (or other water-resistant) painting gloves to keep the colorant off my hands. (However, it did fairly effectively wash off of my hands.) I caught it while attempting to unclog the clogged sprayer nozzle. The colorant jams the sprayer nozzle because it is fairly thick. For that, I'll need to develop an alternative spraying strategy. However, I still enjoy this product and will keep using it. I do wish it were more affordable. Additionally, as I was using it, I started wishing the merchant had produced it in green since I wanted to spray some of my grass!I do suggest this item.

EnviroColor CB0032 851612002032 2,400 Sq. Ft. Cocoa Brown Mulch Color Concentrate, 2400 Square Feet Review:

Everyone laments how quickly mulch loses its effectiveness after being applied. I decided to try this product after finding it by accident. Because I assumed it would certainly ruin the one I use for gardening supplies, I got a new gallon sprayer. So, this is what I encountered.I took out the filter screen from the hose that takes fluid out of the sprayer's inside. I combined 1gal of water and 4oz of cocoa brown in the sprayer tank. I had latex gloves on. I started out by noticing how concentrated the colour is. Although completely flavorless, it is syrupy and black. You don't want this substance to splatter or contaminate your clothing, footwear, garage floor, etc. So take care. Before spraying close to the foundation or driveway, I practiced on a bed that is surrounded by grass first. Everything went as described in the description. It was entertaining and rather amazing to observe the change from dry, drab, craggily uglyness back to dark, rich brown. When viewed from a distance, your mulch makes your beds appear as though it has been freshly mulched. Sweet! Here is the warning. Despite being water soluble, the dye will still stain. Put on gloves, worn-out shoes, and unattractive clothing. Keep it away from any hard surfaces and garden ornaments like rocks, birdbaths, gnomes, and other items you don't want it to come into touch with. Mix it in a location where you won't mind if it leaks.According to the directions, rinse overspray with simple water. Although it greatly aids, this won't completely eliminate it. It is preferable to spray while using a cardboard sheet as an edger. You can complete the task considerably more quickly if you can find someone to hold and shift the cardboard while you spray.Lastly, rapidly rinse off any overspray you might unintentionally produce with your ordinary garden sprayer filled with plain water (or have your garden hose handy).Despite your best efforts, this mulch dye will still be messy. We applied enough of the dye to cover 8 yards of mulch and believed the work was well worth it. However, you must approach it as if you were "spray painting," and you must be careful not to overspray.

9,600 Sq Feet Black Forest Mulch Color Concentrate Review:

Please don't purchase it. You get a sprayer clog. Regular dilatation causes the color to disappear. more densely concentrated. My professional sprayer became clogged due to the product's solute. I subsequently purchased a standard hand-held one, which I used for only an hour. I had to force the nozzle to release the dried stuff, but it clogged once more. As a result, I purchased a third sprayer, this time for a single use. Guess what, in 30 minutes, I also lost it. The entire cost of my spraying was much higher than the cost of the mulch itself. I discovered this lesson the hard way.

COLORBACK 6,400 Sq. Ft. Mulch Color Concetrate, 1/2-Gallon, Brown Review:

The brown type was purchased for two purposes: 1) Refresh the brown mulch I already have. 2) Paint some fresh, light-colored wood chips. The stain performed flawlessly on the initial task, and I heartily suggest it. The second assignment was successful, although it took a lot of stain to turn the chips brown, and the bright spots on the bottom are very noticeable when the chips are moved. I was aware that the staining and chip rolling over would be a problem, but the product was still worth a try. After being applied for two months, the previously brown mulch has held up and continues to appear brand new. I'll use more of it in the spring to freshen up the house.
