Premium Cedar Planks for Grilling | Thicker Design for Moister & More Flavorful Salmon, Steaks, Seafood & More | More Uses Per Cedar Plank | Free Recipe Card | Just Soak, Grill & Serve | 5 Pack Review:

11 3/4" X 5 1/4" X 3/8" are the measurements. The serving boards are solid and have a nice polish. I cooked a 1 pound piece of salmon last night; I think a board this size would work for 1 to 1-1/2 lbs of fish. I used it in a Weber charcoal (fired by gas) barbecue after two hours of soaking. I tried the indirect way on this attempt (coals on either side of the board). Before touching the fish, I heated the board face down to disinfect the surface. I grilled it for 15 minutes at a temperature of roughly 400 F with the grill closed. The indirect method produced very little searing on the underside of the board, so I'll set the flames closer the next time. The board is suitable for use as a serving platter for a dish. The flavor of the fish was strong but not overwhelming. You would probably need two boards if you were serving larger slices of fish (say, 2 to 2-1/2 lbs.) to four or more people. The top of the board is shown in the photos after boiling (and cleaning) in preparation for reusing. The burlap packing contained clear instructions, though I did not notice them until after I had finished cooking. A top-notch product made by a US company with premium components.

Coastal Cuisine Cedar Grilling Planks, Simply Soak, Smoke, & Serve- Designed for Moist & Flavorful Fish, Meat, and Veggies – Add Sweet-Smoky Flavor to your Grilling Favorites, 7x16” Set of 8 Review:

Since these were the only ones I could find big enough for the enormous center cut salmon fillets sold at my neighborhood Costco, which weigh an average of 2-3 lbs each, I've been buying these Coastal Cuisine cedar grilling planks for years. Here is a delicious grilling dish that is quite easy to make. Purchase the McCormick Grill Mates Cedar Plank Salmon seasoning (or, if unavailable, the McCormick Grill Mates Seafood seasoning, which has the exact same components but a different name to appeal to a wider market). The seasoning should be applied evenly to both sides of the salmon fillet. To assist prevent flare-ups, lay the seasoned fillet on a cedar plank that has been soaked for at least two hours (longer is best). This plank should be placed on top of a layer of aluminum foil. A 3 lb. fillet will be cooked in about 30 minutes on a covered grill at 400 degrees; smaller fillets need less time. The salmon will be cooked to perfection when it is golden brown on the exterior, juicy and moist throughout, and has a complex but delectable smokey flavor. Many compliments have been given to me by the people I've served this to, even a few who first said they didn't like fish.

Cedar Grilling Planks - 12 Pack Review:

These were what I used to barbecue with cedar planks at home for the first time. Like most Southerners, I normally dislike grilled or baked fish and instead enjoy my fish fried. I made the decision to prepare some frozen tilapia fillets that we had on hand and was looking for a good, healthy recipe. I thought I might give cedar grilling a try after seeing it in eateries.Utilizing these planks couldn't be simpler. You first soak the planks in water before using them. These planks can accommodate a few fillets of average size, or in my case, three or four tiny fillets. Season your fish with salt, pepper, your preferred fish seasoning, and some olive oil while you wait for those two things to finish. Your planks are ready after soaking for thirty minutes. The next step is to get your grill nice and hot. Place the boards on the grill and allow one side to burn to a deep, dark color. Your fillets should be placed on the plank's black side and let to cook until done. No need to flip. Finally, savor your nutritious meal! Your fish will taste deliciously smoky thanks to the cedar planks! Although the talapia fillets I prepared weren't too tasty, grilling the fish over these boards resulted in some tasty fish. I'm eager to try this out on some recently captured bass or perhaps some crappie. If you're bodybuilding or on a diet, this is a terrific method to prepare your meals for the workweek. I heartily endorse it!

Cedar Grilling Planks 12 Pack + 2 Free Alder Planks – Certified Food Safe - 5x11” For Salmon, Pork Chops, Vegetables and More Review:

These were the first cedar planks I ever purchased for grilling. After two years, I bought them once more.Reasons: Reasonably priced for a sizeable quantity of planks. Last week, I grilled a fillet of Chinook salmon, and just thinking about it makes my wife and I salivate. I'm not sure how to tell one cedar plank from another, but I can tell that these are good ones.I do use these in a different way than what the directions suggest. My favorite grilling cookbook author, Steve Raichlen, advises against soaking these. I start by turning the heat on high, letting the plank char, then lowering it slightly, flipping it over, and adding the salmon to the smoking plank. I spray the flames out and reduce the heat further if the plank catches fire.Use an instant-read thermometer to determine when the fish is finished cooking. During the cooking process, it develops a delicious smoke taste. The bigger-size plank offered by this company is available, but so far, whenever I've had a larger piece of fish, I've simply cut a second plank to the appropriate size to add to the first one. Everything depends on the fish you have.

6 Pack Cedar Grilling Planks - Adds Smoky Cedar Flavor to Salmon, Chicken, Veggies and More. Review:

I had never before utilized these. I just placed them on a very hot grill after soaking them in boiling water for a couple of hours. When the temperature hit 145 degrees, salmon was added. There was a noticeable improvement in flavor! These are something that I'll keep purchasing.

Wood Fire Grilling Co. Grilling Planks - Bulk, 30 Pack - Fits 2-4 Servings On One 5"x11" Plank (Cedar) Review:

As a result, this review deviates from the norm because I didn't use these for grilling or cooking (although, I do have a few leftover and will use them eventually). I was going to go to Home Depot or Lowes to have wood cut to size because I couldn't find the correct size craft wood, but then the idea for the grilling planks came to me. They were just what I was hoping for, with the perfect amount of wood grain detail and size. To create table number signs for a wedding, I dyed the planks, attached vinyl writing, and gently coated the stain. :-)

TrueFire Gourmet TFWraps8-8 8-Pack 7.25 by 8-Inch Cedar Wraps with twine Review:

One of the top innovations for salmon frying to date! Very simple to use and produces excellent results. All I do is brush salmon pieces with olive oil on both sides, skin or not, season with seafood or salmon seasoning, wrap it in aluminum foil, secure it with thread, and cook it for 12 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees (depending on whether you want it medium or well-done). I use indirect heat with the middle burner off, and I've never experienced any issues. Additionally, I gave the salmon five minutes to rest wrapped in foil. The skin typically comes off with the wrap when it is removed, which is another plus. Make sure the salmon chunks don't exceed 4 inches in width. To wrap the entire thing, three inches is approximately right.

Wow! Amazing grilled planks like these! These were purchased since my husband wanted to smoke fish in our egg smoker. Alternatively, you may use them as serving platters at dinner parties to give your fish a distinctive touch. It also comes with a canvas bag for storage. These would make wonderful presents for anyone you know who enjoys grilling or smoking fish. Excellent cedar planks, would buy again without a doubt!

Western Cedar Grilling Planks (8 Pack!!) - Perfect for Salmon, Fish, Steak, Veggies and More. Made in USA! Re-use Several Times. Superior Water Absorption Compared to Other Planks Review:

I love to grill, probably four times a week, but I've always had trouble with fish sticking to the grill and getting burned or otherwise ruined. The fish came out so soft and juicy that I can't believe I ever tried to grill fish without using these, so I got them and they were fantastic. I adore salmon and have always thought that in the spirit of being healthy I could eat salmon many times a week - if only I could grill them properly. So easy and the flavour was so fantastic. I can now because it's so easy that it's not even funny. I've also used the planks to grill chicken, and the flavor is much better than it is when I don't. I can't wait to try these with my steaks! The planks were soaked for approximately two hours, and there was essentially no scorching or flare-ups while grilling. I washed off the plank with water ONLY when I was finished (do not use soap—water only seems to be the consensus on here so that's what I did) and I'm sure I can get two or three more uses out of a plank that I've already used. Sure, the bottom of the plank is black, but it's not falling apart or unusable. I'm sure I'll order these more times after I finish the eight I bought.
