I received my first live ladybug as a present last year, so this is my second order of them. It was a pretty interesting and cool gift! Who doesn't adore ladybugs, after all? So, when I discovered aphids on my roses last week, I placed an order for more of these right away. They arrived on schedule, were properly wrapped, and are healthy (hardly any dead ones).They began devouring the aphids shortly after being sprinkled on the plants. YAY! They also began mating right away, raising the possibility that the young will remain even if the parents decide to relocate. There were even a few larva in this batch, which was another pretty fascinating thing. I've included a picture of a ladybug larva in case you don't know what it looks like. DO NOT SMASH THEM IF YOU SEE THEM IN YOUR GARDENS! They are BETTER bugs!They are wild creatures that live outside, so it is obvious that there is no guarantee that they will remain for very long. But regardless of how long they stay or how soon they fly away (like last year), I still think they were a wise investment because ladybugs are great for gardens everywhere! If you order them, don't be sad if they depart right away; just keep in mind that they are erratic and might not stick around; it's not your fault if they do. And they are simply so very adorable and nice!

Wow, I found these green caterpillars munching on my balcony plants. They always ate at night, and I had no idea what was destroying my plants. At first, I assumed it may be earwigs, but after looking in all of their typical hiding places—under cardboard, for example—I never found any. I bought them since nature wasn't giving me the immigration of ladybugs I needed, and Leaf Miners were doing some serious damage to my spinach (and establishing themselves elsewhere). My business is too big to wash anything more than twice a week, but it's also too little to make any other alternative cost- and labor-effective.In full health, they arrived. There aren't even any dead Ladybugs in the mesh. The packaging was excellent.I misted the garden before deployment and put them in the refrigerator to wait for dusk release (approximately six hours).They then LEFT FOR WORK. Oh my goodness, they went to work. Some of them flew out into the twilight, but most stayed. The bulk of those who persisted immediately sought sustenance (in the form of Leaf Miner and Moth eggs) or water; others didn't even make it off the mesh before they began to act strange.It was a lot more fun to dab ladybugs into afflicted plants than it is to wear a respirator and spray them, but this is unrelated to the product. cheaper as well.Tomorrow morning I'm going to set out a saucer of water (with stones to walk on) and create a house for these little people (which, obviously, I should have done at the beginning of the season, but I've never had this problem before).Release instructions specify either morning or dusk. According to what I've heard, dusk is preferable because they won't migrate at night. They arrived 100% alive, the majority stayed, and feeding and reproduction started right away. I don't sure if that's true and increased the stay rate or if it was just the food and water I have accessible.Throughout the board, 5/5.

Every women looks vibrant and robust. I uncorked the jar and scattered some of the contents in the back and some in the front by the rosebushes. A couple of them began to fly away, which is okay because they will still benefit other plants even if they are not my plants. A few touched down on me:-). Since I arrived at my hot Florida mailbox at 7 p.m., I was unprepared for these little creatures to be moving quickly inside the container. Although the seller has no control over whether or not we receive dead lady bugs, it is obvious how well cared for they are or were. I heartily endorse this vendor! The Harris termite powder is the subject of this review. I used a clean 13-gallon plastic garbage can, four cans of the white powder (four pounds), and four gallons of water (warm water is preferable). I then sprayed the mixture with a wagnor sprayer. It was odorless, quickly dissolved, and simple to mix. It does require stirring for a few minutes until it almost becomes clear. I would advise using a breathing mask filter of some kind. As a prophylactic measure, we applied it to the framing of some new projects. In accordance with the instructions, you must also apply a second coat after 24 hours.

For interior application, I prefer to merely lightly mist surfaces, unless they are bothersome repeat-access routes that ants seem to enjoy (doing so rapidly gets rid of any remaining scent). For these, a brief, stronger spray is recommended, followed by some rubbing in/around with a folded paper towel because it seems to last for a few extra days. I advise using one of those disposable paper filter masks that are used by yard workers and other people while working really hard since they trap any little droplets that you may otherwise breathe in. Just taking a safe measure. If I notice ants or other little insects making their way inside to look for water, I use largely at corners and junctions on kitchen counters, under/beside/behind refrigerators, counter bases, and bathroom window sills. Once every week for strong seasonal infestations, then once every month until the cold winter drives insects away.

We had a batch of tainted soil mix that caused fungus gnat infestations on the majority of our indoor plants (which is a lesson in itself).By combining these nematodes with water and watering all of our plants, I applied them. I gave it a few weeks to work. It did an excellent job of getting rid of practically all the gnats. I'm using yellow Safer stickies to keep an eye on the gnats.Gnats are notoriously tough to completely eradicate, so before the winter season I'll probably need a second treatment.Timing your order with when you will want to water the plants is the one challenging aspect of using BioLogic's Scanmask on indoor plants. Overwatering can cause most plants to decay, and keeping the nematodes in the cold for an extended period of time will reduce their effectiveness.Correction: I neglected to highlight how excellent their customer service is. They quickly answered my queries concerning application and use.Edit 2: I slightly modified the title. The results have exceeded expectations. I haven't seen a single gnat in a few months. quite pleased with the outcome.

Here is my assessment because the ratings on this site are dubious and there aren't any quick, better alternatives to these on Amazon. When you purchase, you will receive some pouches, which you must place next to your plant(s) that are being attacked by gnats, close to the top of the soil (in terrarium pots in my case), where there is space. I got these to try to get rid of the gnats that were in two of my indoor open terrariums since they were proliferating.The delivery was first-rate and arrived on a Sunday morning without any additional delivery fees.Initial 3–4 days: You won't immediately notice if these pouches are having an impact. No worms could be seen by me, and it was unclear whether the little balls inside the pouches were nematodes and, if so, how they would function.1.5 weeks later: I noticed that the number of gnats in my 2 terrariums had significantly decreased (maybe by 30%). I believed the nematodes could be working because the gnats had previously proliferated at a rate that was evident every 3 or 4 days. The pouches' look remained unchanged. I followed the instructions to keep them moist.After using these pouches for around 2 weeks: - In 1 terrarium (which had 2 tiny plants), the gnats were gone! Amazing considering that terrarium had been plagued by gnats for at least a month and my plants had clearly lost vitality as a result of those dreadful pests.Even although closer inspection revealed a few gnats remaining inside on the soil, the other terrarium had no gnats flying around. For that one, I had been killing about 7–20 gnats PER NIGHT before the pouches arrived, so this was a significant improvement.- I still had a sizable number of the pouches that need to be maintained within a specific temperature range. I made the decision to use up the remaining pouches on my (cilantro) plants outside on my deck that had gnats because I was concerned that they would be too cold to keep in my refrigerator but that the usual temperature in my house would be too warm to keep these pouches "effective" for a long time.- In general, these nematodes are effective. You will be able to tell when they are finished because the tiny balls appear "dried up" (as opposed to moist balls). You might be wondering what the heck you got because these nematodes don't move or resemble any animals at all. My gnats were gone, though, and it was obvious they were successful because they did not simply vanish. Simply exercise patience; it will take them 5 to 10 days to start working. Keep the pouches wet at all times.Finally, despite the fact that my terrarium, which had been particularly gnat-infested before, became 95% gnat-free, my plant never recovered, so after another 3 weeks (in addition to the 2 weeks with these pouches), I made the decision to give up on the wilted plant and replace it with a new plant in fresh soil. The key takeaway is to avoid overwatering plants in the first place because doing so makes treatment uncomfortable or ineffective.
