Despite the fact that the glass that broke strangely enough lacked a gasket, I bought this to replace the broken piece in the door of my wood stove. It looked like a fantastic concept when I first saw it on the website where I bought the glass. The gasket turned out to be much thicker than I had anticipated. It was impossible for this to function properly because the glass I had cut was too near to the exact size of the opening. It fit snugly even without the gasket.The final fit was so tight that the glass ultimately cracked; I assume this was because it was unable to withstand the expansion that would have occurred when the glass was heated. I took the gamble even though I could see it coming. Having said that, the gasket was not to blame for this. only something to think about.The gasket itself is really nicely crafted, and it would have worked just fine if I had the glass cut with greater tolerance. I'll take the gasket into consideration when I replace the glass once more, and perhaps I'll be able to peel it off and reuse it. Although it's not a big deal at this price, I would absolutely buy this gasket again.

I bought this to replace a Castleton from Hearthstone. I discovered that the new fit nicely after removing the cotter pins and the outdated baffle pieces. For those who are unsure, I did not cut the new baffle. In order to move the new baffle up toward the entrance, I discovered that I could slide it in between the air tube closest to the back and the middle tube. It was pushed in far enough for the new baffle's back to clear the rear tube and slide into position. It was a fantastic fit! To secure the new baffle in place as the last step, don't forget to attach the metal backer and cotter pins before installing.

I got the 3/4 x 84 inch gasket for the Pelpro PP130 pellet stove's door. I couldn't believe how quickly the business shipped via first class mail. The gasket and adhesive are of the highest caliber. Just take care. When the glue was opened, a small amount of clear liquid was visible at the beginning of the adhesive. Most likely water. The glue wouldn't stick to the clear liquid, therefore I should have wiped it off. A clean cut is essentially impossible to achieve. As a result, the ends will fray. Like the ends of any rope. To prevent fraying, the original contained a high temperature tape. I wish a tiny piece of that kind of tape had been included. because finding it is really difficult. Just an idea for the seller. However, overall, a superb gasket set. I'm grateful.

My Federal Dutchwest extra big wood stove's Sud Chemi combustor failed twice before it should have and caused back puffing problems, so I upgraded to ceramic. Although the back puffing problem was resolved, I yearned for the lower light off temperatures and better steelcat performance. Thank god I located the steel combustor from Midwest Hearth. Since the "actual" stones on top of the higher air tubes on our stove were heavy, thick, and locked together when it was first delivered, it didn't require a ceramic blanket.
