We think this is the nicest camping equipment we've ever bought! It has a travel bag in addition to being small! Since we bought it, we've used it twice, and it still looks brand new. The panels allow air to pass through, allowing your fire to burn evenly, and it is simple to set up. In order to lay goods on to warm over the fire, we also packed an old grill grate, and it fit well. This product will be very useful to anyone who frequently goes camping because it is small, light, and portable. To anyone who wants a portable camping ring, I wholeheartedly recommend this. Heck, you could use this in your yard and simply remove it after the season is over. Excellent value for the money.

I consider this to be excellent value. It much exceeds my expectations and was brought to my house for less than $20. It is not, in my opinion, fragile or poorly manufactured. To make a larger ring, we used 4 bags of pea gravel from Home Depot, 12 retaining wall blocks from Menards, and 22 matching bricks. It may use another bag or two, and we are thinking about adding another layer of blocks and more gravel. However, at so far under $60, I believe this is fantastic. I even considered placing an order for two rings and enlarging the first one. I believe this is possible, even with the addition of just one or two extra panels. Although I don't require a larger ring, I might get a second at this price to save for the future. My husband and I both really enjoy it! I asked him if he wanted to paint it first, but he was too eager to set it up outside and go for it. ;-)

I am really pleased with my fire ring considering the price. But don't anticipate a loud ringing here. I'm confident that it will last for a long time in the event of a house fire. But. I would recommend looking at some that are a little more expensive and have higher gauge steel if you are buying this for a home or rental property where it will be used frequently throughout the year. If you have a few wrenches, installation is a cinch; it took me less than 10 minutes to put it together. I'd purchase it once more.

This satisfied my needs exactly. Our ancient fire pit, which our Cub Scout den used to use when we went camping three to five times a year, was destroyed by the hurricane. We wanted something that wouldn't break the money, that would also be sturdy, stylish, and portable. This is a pretty good fit. We only used two bolts per joint and thumb-tightened them; it was solid even then, so I assume this would be really sturdy with all the hardware installed and tight. Despite its drawbacks, the metal does allow for some flex. It remained put after being put. However, it does have some possibilities for the future if we wanted a more circular pit that could be ideal for camping by the fire. That was fantastic since it kept the fire where it belonged and disassembled practically flat for storage in our trailer.

In my backyard, I constructed a DIY fire pit using wedge-shaped concrete edging bricks. I placed this fire ring in the middle of the pit, with a few inches of lava rocks separating it from the concrete blocks. Aug 26, 2018: It's sweet. After setup, it looks good, but mine was already rusting when it was delivered. Additionally, it had a different name on it and was mailed to my address. I'll update my rating if it holds up or rusts apart, but it appears sturdy enough. Additionally, the second nut on the cheap tiny wrench they offer you is bent.Will attempt to paint it black and use a rust converter on it. However, I recently relocated and haven't yet unpacked those stuff.Oct. 15, 2018 Update: After just one use, the fire's heat caused paint to start peeling off everywhere, and the fire ring is now 50% rusted. Despite the slight surface rust, it is still a really attractive ring that I will keep up with. I'm keeping my rating at 4 stars because it's an outdoor product (although the company advised me to store it when not in use) and I can't expect for the price that it would be built from a non-rusting material.

This fire pit ring served us admirably. The cast iron and steel fire pits that you can buy didn't cut it for us, so we decided to build one in the yard to give us somewhere to sit and unwind in the evenings. My daughter and I got to work on a few images, including one from this page. The ring is constructed from heavier gauge steel than I had anticipated, and it was expertly sprayed with high heat paint (I can tell this since five flames later, there is no sign of paint bubbling).We constructed a ring of 60 standard concrete landscape blocks from The Depot "to the diameter. The first ring required 16 blocks, the second up required 15, and the last ring required 14 blocks. To hold the blocks in place, we used concrete construction adhesive. Although it's not absolutely necessary, I want to prevent the pieces from moving because I anticipate that my daughter and her friends, who are in their 20s, will be sitting on the edge of the ring.We dug around 8 feet "6' in diameter, and in the lawn. The blocks' Step 1 and Step 2 base layers were then poured in, and the sand was subsequently leveled. Each layer's five bags were used. This is a crucial step because if your ring is not level, you will be annoyed by it as you stare at it out the window for the next ten years (OK, maybe that's just me:-)).We set the blocks in position as seen in my photos, and then we added some old landscape pavers that were left over from a pathway I had constructed a decade earlier. These provided a stable foundation for the metal ring that had been purchased while still allowing rainwater to pass through. I then used a couple of the excess blocks I had to carefully chisel the ring into place in the middle of my ring of blocks (OK, this is to prevent my OCD from driving me crazy if the two rings are not concentric a decade from now).When we finally obtained the stone, it was far larger than I had anticipated. I poured in eight bags of stone altogether (I think they were 60 pound bags from The Depot). In order to make it simpler to mow the lawn and avoid having to mow right up to the wall, I also used one bag for the six-inch border around the outside edge. In order to finish the effect, we added four bags of red lava rock to the bottom.After work on Wednesday and Friday, I excavated the hole and installed the underlayment, and on Saturday morning and early afternoon, we laid the blocks. This project took two evenings and a portion of a Saturday to complete. We completed it all by 3:00 PM.Even though it might seem like a simple backyard job, make sure to account for how you'll get the stone and blocks to your house. Each block weighs 20 pounds, and each bag of stone or underlayment weighs 60 pounds. Over the duration of the endeavor, I lifted, handled, and placed around a ton of merchandise. And everything would have to be brought to the residence. For mine, I made three visits to Home Depot (come on, when has a home improvement job ever required fewer than three HD trips?).Last but not least, remember to budget for the additional expenses associated with creating a fire pit. Don't forget the wine to enjoy by the fire with your significant other after the kids have gone to bed, the six Adirondack chairs for my daughter and her friends, and firewood (the neighbors will complain if you start cutting down their trees).PS: Although some people have complained about the packaging, I experienced no problems (See my pics of the packaging it came in). Maybe the vendor and Amazon took into account feedback from earlier and made improvements?

Wow! I once bought a little, inexpensive "fire pit" for under $100, but it only lasted a few months before crumbling. This fire ring is big and solid, looks good, and was incredibly easy to put together. I immediately began burning, and I've been doing so for the past four days or so. I have a lot to burn because a bad storm caused several trees to fall. It has endured incredibly well, is substantial enough to support quite huge objects, and manages to restrict the fire while still allowing adequate airflow for everything to burn entirely. I would unquestionably suggest this to anyone looking for a good, simple, and economical fire ring.

This stuff is good and it came on time.Due to the thickness of the steel, the box was lighter than anticipated (thin). I believed that it wouldn't endure. However, the tig welds were excellent, and my concern that they would break subsided. I quickly put the thing together using a phillps and adjustable. Establishes itself well and completes the fire pit. The outcome won't be known for some time.a good deal for the money It does look cheap when you first take it out of the box, earning it a rating of 4 stars. It worked for me and looks wonderful, so it was worth the money. I used it to create the firepit and then to help protect the interior walls.
