Yes, electrical junction boxes are legal as long as they are used properly and installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Junction boxes provide a safe way to connect two or more wires together, and they protect the wires from damage.
Yes, you can leave a junction box behind drywall as long as it is accessible for future maintenance. It is important to label the junction box clearly so that anyone working on the electrical system in the future knows where it is located.
If you're planning on removing old drywall, it's important to know what's behind it. Leaving wires behind drywall is generally not a good idea, as they could become damaged or pose a fire hazard. It's best to remove all wires before removing drywall.
Most electrical boxes must be mounted to a stud in order to be properly supported. The exception to this rule is when you are using a listed electrical box support that is approved for use without being mounted to a stud. When in doubt, it is always best to err on the side of caution and mount the box to a stud.

I still value "a job well done," even though the outlet box for the cables is behind the wall-mounted TV. This cover gives the outlet box a tidy, polished appearance. The outlet box for the cables is visible when I swing the TV away from the wall because my wall mount isn't a fixed mount. The wall's appearance if you eventually sell your home is another benefit over time. I heartily recommend utilising this cable entry cover since it costs so little. fantastic stuff

Fast, Easy, Professional Low Voltage Mounting Template
Horizontal or Vertical Mounting
4" Convenience Ruler
For Single Gang and Double Gang Flush Mount Brackets

Installing low voltage boxes is made incredibly simple with this template. The only issue is that the low voltage box cutouts I'm using seem to be about a quarter inch taller than the template, which requires me to draw the cutout short and remeasure, which is somewhat annoying. Even though the lines for drawing the 2 gang box are not particularly intuitive, once you understand how to measure for 2 gang, it is not particularly challenging.

I mount a lot of flatscreen TVs, and these low voltage mounting brackets are ideal for giving your wall where the drywall is removed a clean appearance. The unit has 4 tiny holes along the edges that are used to indicate the wall. After that, use a ruler and a pencil to join the dots. After connecting the lines, cut through the drywall along those lines. Take a part of the drywall out, then put this unit in. To lock the device to the drywall, move the top and bottom locking tabs up and down, respectively, and tighten the screws. Feed your HDMI cables through the opening, and then cover this mounting bracket with the faceplate of your choice. The 6 port HDMI device is one that I like to place into this bracket. It enables me to run all of the HDMI cables for televisions with multiple HDMI ports.

They performed admirably and are what they are. Despite being somewhat fragile, they serve the purpose. These were exactly what I needed to make a bunch of outlets flush after I messed up a few of them. However, I should emphasize that the ones I received were razor-sharp! I had the sensation of holding razor blades!

Remarkable quality; what's amazing about thisA. The boxes are excellent.B.) may be pushed into place for a beautiful tight fit in dry-wall and the hole you cut can be just a fraction of an inch wide.C.) can be installed into wood wall paneling, but a pilot hole needs to be made using a 1-1/2 inch spade bit. and then remove the remaining hole's material. To complete this installation, you will need a Jab saw (I used this one from Amazon: Stanley-15-556-Jab-Cushion-Grip/dp/B00002X21W), measuring tape, a small level, and a third item.If cutting wood paneling or something similar, you might need to start the cut using a spade bit on a Jab saw.how to set up:1.) Take a reference measurement from a wall corner or an electrical outlet.2.) Place a magnet or stud finder between the two studs, anyplace.3.) Determine the location of the hole; the top of the Arlington should be positioned so that it is equivalent to the height of other boxes on all other walls in the home. Place a faceplate on the Arlington and measure from the top of another Box on the room's wall to the top of the Arlington with Faceplate to determine this without removing any faceplates from any other boxes. Mark the location of the Arlington's top on the wall. or by subtracting the top of the faceplate's distance from Arlington from where the top of the faceplate is.4.) The Arlington should be placed with its face against the wall, leveled with a level on top of the Arlington, and measured at the height required in step 3 as a reference.5.) Use a pencil or pen to sketch the Arlington's interior opening (i suggest pencil so the marks can be erased if a mistake is made)6.) Check if the lines perfectly form a square or rectangle using the level.8. Insert Arlington into the hole you just created after cutting along the outside edge of the lines you just traced with a jab saw.9.) If your reference measurements between the ground floor and attic are accurate, your push stick, pull string, and cat6 should be within 2 inches of your hole.9.A.) I utilized Cen-Tech 65327 as a push stick. Fiberglass Wire Running Kit, 3/16" x 11'9.B.) I used Greenlee 430-500 Poly Fish Line, Tracer Green, 500-Foot for the pull string. 9.C.) [[ASIN:B005UFKJPG Cat6, 550 MHz, UTP, 23AWG, 8C Solid Pure Copper, CMR, 1000ft, White, Bulk]] was what I used for Cat6. Ethernet10.) Insert the Arlington and tighten the screw, but don't overtighten it, through any lines you may have fished down the wall.11.) Attach the faceplates to the line and attach the connectors.

These clips for 10mm wide waterproof LED strip lights are exactly what I needed to replace the ineffective light strip tape. If you don't screw them in straight, they won't fit down tightly as they should. I separated them by 8"; the additional support helps the light strip's adhesive adhere fairly effectively. The non-mounting edge of these clips cannot extend past the light strip since some of my light strips are butted up against a board; I chopped off that edge of the clips, and they continue to function as intended. There was no need to purchase different types of clips because I utilized them to hold the cords coming from the transformer and power source, as well as the jumper wires connecting different LED strips. They showed up as promised in two days. Every component was there and in excellent shape. When I install another LED light strip in the future, I'll most definitely utilize these.

The enormous yellowed in-use waterproof box covers or the vintage metal outside covers that I replaced are so much worse than these outlet boxes. Although they are advertised as new construction, if you are skilled with vinyl siding, you may use this box to replace an existing j-block. I've used this box for both new construction and retrofit projects, and from this point forward, I'll exclusively use this type of box for outside outlets.I had questioned the inclusion of two face plates since, in order to fit inside this box, they are slightly smaller than a typical face plate. There are two choices—one with a white cover and the other with a grey cover. Prior to realizing that the white cover, which obscures the outlet, looks much superior (to me), I had initially ordered the grey cover. The choice for the grey cover is as follows: For new vinyl siding construction, Arlington offers the DBVS1C-1 Low Profile IN BOX Recessed Outlet Box Wall Plate Kit, Vertical, 1-Gang, Clear.
Most electrical boxes need to be supported by a bracket, strap, or other type of support. The only time an electrical box does not need to be supported is when it is listed as self-supporting. If an electrical box is not listed as self-supporting, it needs to be supported. The main reason for this is that an unsupported electrical box is more likely to fall out of the wall if it becomes loose. If an electrical box falls out of the wall, it could cause serious damage to the wiring. It could also cause a fire if
There's no definitive answer, as local building codes vary. However, in many cases, a breaker box does need to be mounted on wood, in order to provide proper insulation and fire protection.
If you need to secure an electrical box to a wall but there are no studs nearby, you can use a special electrical box mounting bracket that attaches to the drywall with screws. You can also use wall anchors, but be careful not to overtighten them or they may pull out of the drywall.
A bracket is a type of punctuation mark typically used in matched pairs within text, to set apart or interject other text. The matched pair may consist of round brackets (also called parentheses), square brackets, curly brackets (also called braces), or angle brackets (also called chevrons), or some combination thereof.
If you're using typical 12-gauge wire, you can have up to 15 outlets on a 15-amp circuit.
20 amp circuits are designed to handle a maximum of 20 amps. This means that there can be a maximum of 20 receptacles on a 20 amp circuit.
