Reciprocating saws are definitely worth the investment if you do a lot of woodworking or other projects that require cutting. They are much more efficient than traditional hand saws, and can make quick work of even the most stubborn materials.
A reciprocating saw can cut a bolt, but it is not the best tool for the job. A better tool for cutting bolts is a cutoff tool.
A reciprocating saw can cut bricks with the right blade. It's not a common application for the tool, but it can be done.
Reciprocating saws are not just for wood anymore. With the right blade, a reciprocating saw can cut through concrete. The key is to use a blade that is designed for cutting concrete. These blades have a different tooth design than blades for cutting wood. They also have a carbide tip that helps them stay sharp longer. When cutting concrete with a reciprocating saw, you will need to use a different technique than you would for cutting wood. First, mark the line where you want to cut. Then, start the saw and slowly guide it along the

These blades perform exactly as promised. My 18v Bosch cordless reciprocating saw uses them. I've utilized each of them for varied jobs at least once (everything from interior demolition to cutting up scrap metal to trimming awkward branches not easily reachedwith a chain saw). The longer wood nail blade is the one I use the most; after enough use, cheaper blades would begin to dull. The finish has obviously gone, but it still looks sharp as the first day I used it. It has held up amazingly well. Even after felling 3" to 6" diameter trees, I've bent a couple blades, which I was able to effortlessly straighten out again. In the event that these ever become worn out, I will purchase more.

These saw blades work well and are roughly on par with middle-of-the-road blades. They are relatively disposable, but the low price makes up for it.Be aware that these will wear out quickly if you use them on a high setting, in a saw with a lot of play, or on the inappropriate material. They work well for light labor on my 12v reciprocating saw, which is more of a toy than a true instrument.Low tooth count quickly cuts through plywood and 2x4s.- Mid tooth count: great for cutting cleanly through thin timber or materials like drywall and plastic.- High tooth count: useful for working with thicker sheet metal, such as 1/16 to 1/8, but anything flexible is a pain, so I just use snips or a jigsaw instead.

These and the Ryobi P515 One 18V 7/8 Inch Stroke Length 3,100 RPM Lithium Ion Cordless Reciprocating Saw with Anti-Vibration Handle (Batteries Not Included, Power Tool Only) were items I ordered together. I had a number of enormous tree limbs that were brought down by a strong storm. I chopped through them with these knives. I don't have much experience using this equipment or these blades for this kind of project, but. Most of the limbs had a diameter of 1-3 inches. The knife passed through. It would take a minute or so to get through thicker ones and occasionally get caught. The blade didn't break or significantly wear down. 4 blades are still unusable. This is more affordable than paying $12 or more for a 2-pack at Home Depot. If I worked as a professional tree pruner, would I buy these? Perhaps as backups, but for use at home, it's fantastic.

After a year of me having trouble with the prior blades we had purchased, my husband got them for me. Loved the tips sheet that came with it, however I regrettably learnt everything last year! Excellent suggestion We live in the northwest, so as I headed out to use my new blades to teach my horribly overgrown cedar hedges some manners after they very rudely encroached around 15 feet into two neighbors' yards, I was thinking, "Wow!" This could last me all fall with just 5 blades! But to my surprise, the blade was still razor-sharp after I quickly severed 200 pounds of limbs. Then, on a large, high branch, the fateful "I got lazy and produced a too small an undercut" resulted in the blade becoming jammed as the weight of the tree crushed it. I believed that I would go get another blade to do the job as I yanked it out by bending, twisting, and using all other types of abuse. To my shock, the blade not only functioned well but also looked perfect! Obviously of the highest caliber! And it is effective for branches with a diameter of 3 to 4 inches!Positive Tree Trainer

These reciprocating saw blades are extremely sharp and excellent quality. These are what I bought for my battery-operated Milwaukee brand saw.A good variety of sizes and surface kinds are available. has a great blade for trimming tree limbs. It has teeth that are farther apart and bigger. The blades for cutting both metal and wood are excellent.I like that a black roll-up storage bag was provided to keep them safe. To keep itself together and the blades where they belong, it has Velcro. The blades of every length and size I have used cut just as well and appear to last just as long.

I'm sawing through really substantial, old wood from my house, which was constructed in 1906. DeWalt wooden blades are devoured by the lumber in this house like candy. Even the metal blades, which I tried just to see, didn't work. The hardwood blades in this kit cut through things like butter like a hot knife. I'm incredibly impressed!

I use my Dewalt 20v sawzall to make repairs around the house. I don't buy many blades because I'm not a professional, and I've only tried a few Dewalt and generic-branded blades. Using Bi-Metal blades from Dewalt and Milwaukee, I have easily cut thick CPVC, steel tubing, and steel fence posts. You won't find a blade that offers the longevity and durability of this Milwaukee set unless you buy the thick Dewalt professional blades (black ones at 2x the price). The cost is reasonable given the number of blades or parts. The price of the blades is roughly appropriate, and the additional $5 is for the useful case. You may get a set of blades that are useful for demolition and create clean, straight cuts for $25 for a package of 12. The Dewalt (yellow) Bi-Metal blades, in my opinion, are substantially thinner and far more prone to bending and flexing. I cut the top rail of a fence with a brand-new 18 TPI Dewalt blade, and after my first cut, the blade was bent. The Milwaukee blades don't bend or flex and seem to be almost 50% thicker. They remain true and straight through all cuts. Great set of thicker, tougher sawzall blades at an excellent price.

They may not last as long as the more expensive options, but they are still less expensive. I don't have a validated test, but based on my impression, they last approximately a third as long as blades that are more than twice as expensive. That is a great deal. Even the best blades quickly lose their ability to cut effectively, so the ability to replace a dull blade with a new, sharp one without breaking the bank is a plus. Although the blades are not the longest, they function on practically all of the things I need them to. The blade length is a little bit shorter, which makes it easier to manage and seems to perform better with some battery-powered reciprocating saws that have "shorter strokes." I'm overjoyed.
Yes, a reciprocating saw can cut steel. It is a versatile tool that can be used for a variety of tasks, including cutting through metal.
Yes, you can use a reciprocating saw to cut tree branches. The saw will quickly and easily cut through the branches, making the job much easier. Just be sure to use the correct blade for the job, and be careful not to damage the tree.
Yes, you can cut aluminum with a reciprocating saw. However, it is important to use the correct blade for the material you are cutting. If you are cutting aluminum, you will need to use a blade that is designed for cutting metal.
Yes, you can cut wet wood with a reciprocating saw. However, it is important to note that wet wood is more difficult to cut than dry wood. As such, it is important to use a saw blade that is designed for cutting wet wood. Additionally, it is important to use a saw with plenty of power to ensure that the blade does not get bogged down in the wet wood.
A reciprocating saw can be used as a jigsaw if the saw has a variable speed trigger and the blade is installed correctly. The blade must be installed with the teeth pointing down and the blade must be tight in the saw. The saw should be held with both hands when in use.
Most reciprocating saw blades will fit most reciprocating saws, but there are some exceptions. For example, Bosch reciprocating saws use a unique blade that is not compatible with other brands. Additionally, some blades are designed for specific materials and may not work as well on others. Always check the compatibility of the blade with the saw before making a purchase.
