Lima beans aren't particularly popular, but my naturopath says they're the first thing individuals of my particular kind should eat. In fact, you can simply add the beans at the same time as the ribs and skip the entire pre-cooking step. They just require one hour of total cooking time; else, they disintegrate. Now, IMHO, soaked overnight Corona beans have a MUCH BETTER taste.

The starches swelled after soaking in the cooking broth, making them even more delightful the next day.They are ludicrously expensive for a pound of beans at this pricing. However, the quality and freshness were excellent. very tidy No broken or split beans. No soil or rocks. They were also worthwhile because I needed them for a recipe and Amazon Prime allowed me to get them delivered in 2 days. The following time, I may opt to purchase these straight from Camellia. Highly intelligent, well-read, creative, and a lover of both classical and modern music. recited poems at the breakfast table from memory. He didn't enjoy cooking much and preferred to put out scrumptious feasts from the deli or neighborhood bakeries. BUT! He soaked a huge bag of Lima beans every Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then he laboriously boiled, stirred, seasoned, and annotated those limes in a large cast iron saucepan. This enormous pot was tremblingly lifted into the oven and baked for what seemed like hours until the mixture was mystifyingly perfect. He would shout, "Get outta the way, I've got to get this thing in the oven!" When I spent my first Christmas at his place, I erroneously questioned the significance of this cooking project involving a large quantity of dried Lima beans. All other dishes were overshadowed in the oven by the pot of limas. even the ham and the turkey! Words, oh, words.The limas, however, ended up being grilled. They were worth dying for. Incredible flavors and textures in every way. When they were cooking, the entire home had a wonderful aroma. Every year, they had a slightly different flavor. always becoming better as time goes on. It's also possible that as the years went by, my affection for my father-in-law became stronger and stronger.However, there was no recipe, so when the winter holidays arrived that year after the untimely death of my husband's father-in-law on Easter, we mourned the loss of yet another holiday custom that had become ingrained in our family. Barbecued bean feasts wouldn't exist. There were no wrapped dishes for the lengthy drive home. No recipe in scribble to treasure.So, we were committed to replicating the dish. At the nearby shop, we discovered enormous limes. In a dirty plastic bag in the other, shadowy corner. We bathed them repeatedly, but no amount of caring for them resulted in them becoming the ripe, melt-in-your-mouth limas we desired. I eventually found these limas on Amazon after several years of looking. They are flawless as well. Creamy. When cooked, they keep their shape but are soft. delicious flavor Eureka!We therefore modify a recipe we created for every holiday feast. Give this some additional tomato sauce. There, add a little extra cider vinegar. Spices, brown sugar, and a dash of love Every year, our recipe becomes better and better. Another year to exclaim "Merry Christmas!" and clatter the cast iron lid off our cast iron saucepan "Leave the area now! I must put this in the oven right away!"So here we are once more! Thanksgiving is the next week, so I've already ordered my holiday lima beans! These limas are the greatest. Whether grilled, doused in cream, or doused in butter. In all the years we looked for Lima beans, we never discovered one that was this delicious. We adore them, and they aid in bringing to mind a specific individual we cherished dearly.
