Even after reading all the bad reviews, I decided to buy it anyhow because of the gorgeous colours. Surprisingly, they are in excellent shape when they arrive. True, some feathers did fall off, but not a lot. Before wearing, shake it outside to fluff it up. Even after two uses, the boas still maintain their beautiful looks.

I purchased these boas to embellish the necklines of the green sequin gowns I created for The Original Class Act, my singing group. They add the ideal wow factor to our Saint Patrick's Day gowns. At a Klaus Hargreeves cosplay from The Umbrella Academy for DragonCon, I purchased this boa. I wore it for about four out of five days, and it shed very little and maintained its beauty the entire time.I'm not sure how many people reading this have attended a large convention like DragonCon before, but there is a lot of walking, posing, sweating, and just generally being around people there because there are upwards of 85,000 people there. A problem is wear and tear. I don't even need to buy another boa for the next year because this one held up so well.However, if that's the only damage that resulted from this poor boa being put through the ringer, it's pretty astounding. There is a small "bald patch" on the boa where the feathers have thinned a little and some of them are sort of ragged from where they landed around my neck.Even though I don't NEED to buy another boa, I believe I would at the following DragonCon due of how excellent it is. Definitely suggest.

When I took this out of the package, I was astonished by how fluffy it was for being so inexpensive, and how gorgeous the color richness was. (I'm braiding with solid black to make it look less dyed and more natural.)It shed, indeed. However, this is not my first battle; they all shed and are opened outside.The only drawback is that you can smell it from a few feet away; it has a strong odor that is similar to that of a dead rat and dog dung. Fortunately, I'm far enough away from the performers on stage that they won't be able to detect the stench, but DAMN I hope it dissipates soon. Sheesh.

I needed a few boas for the photo booth at my daughter's wedding. In fact, I purchased two of these, one in burgundy and the other in ivory. They will undoubtedly accomplish their goal. When I opened the ivory one, some feathers fell out, so I took both of them outside and gave them a vigorous shake. They look fantastic, and I'm not loosing feathers all over the place. The burgundy boa barely shed any material. These are lovely and would undoubtedly fulfill my requirements. If I can locate the color I like, I might even buy another. Since I anticipate some shedding and they are of decent quality for the price, it is not a huge concern to me.I want to use these for a photo booth, but they would be fantastic for any outfit. These are beautiful and will be great for our wedding photo booth and other dress-up activities.
