I bought this bag for our impending beach vacation in honor of "getting back home." I needed something portable that could hold all of the beach-related gear I need. The performance of this bag with Flagler sand will be interesting to watch because it's a little different, so I might have to amend my evaluation. Some reviewers in other places criticized the bag for having an odor. Fair enough, it did when I initially removed it from the plastic bag it was in, but it vanished quickly. In general, it looks solid, the stitching appears to be nice, and the mesh material is considerably thicker than I anticipated. Not sure what the mesh is made of, but I'm sure it's in the item description. It has a sort of rubbery feel to it. There are numerous exterior pockets, all of which appear to be well-stitched, as well as an internal zipped pocket and a hook on which you might clip a carabiner clip for your keys. In order to give you an idea of how much space there is in it, I've included a picture and will walk you through the contents.two additional large beach towels(2) Beach towels of standard sizes(1) My camera's tripod (hoping I get decent surfing pics of my husband this year)(1) Folded size of the sand-proof beach mat is 10 by 8 by 2 inches " (60" x 80" unfolded)In the pockets on the outside are five bottles and tubes of sunscreen.(1) A cocktail cup made of silicon: 7" x 3" and still has room for two neoprene beer koozies, two hats (a sun hat and a ball cap), two women's bikinis, and a coverup. One zip bag has my extra necessities (contact lens solution, extra deodorant, chapstick).I packed it very haphazardly; if I had given it more thought, I'm sure more would fit comfortably. However, since my husband and I are the only two going, you can naturally remove two beach towels. I would also wear my swimsuit (the second swimsuit is already at home), a coverup, a sun hat, and just bring one bottle of sunscreen. There will be plenty of room for water and a few drinks as well;) Now for the drawbacks, which, to be quite honest, would not deter me from recommending or purchasing a second one of these. Just an inch or two more length on the straps would be ideal. To be a little kinder on your hands or shoulder, the straps also have a velcro-adjustable, padded wraparound thingie. It would only be somewhat better finished if the straps had two distinct padded parts, but it is by no means a deal-breaker. Before settling on this beach bag, I conducted a great deal of laborious study (read hundreds of reviews). I believe the price is excellent considering what you get, and it appears that it will be ideal for us. I won't bother updating the review unless the sand doesn't fall out as it should or it structurally collapses. I'm confident that it will function perfectly, and I'm so far happy with my purchase.

What a wonderful bag! When the NFL (and later other professional teams) mandated that clear bags rather than purses be used to enter stadiums, I first purchased a clear tote. I required a bag for my essentials as a substitute teacher. This was my order in the Large size. It is not as big as I had hoped, but I'm pleased I did. However, altogether, it does the job. It is made of the same material as a "Jansport" style backback, making it rather sturdy. I adore how there are 2 sizable pockets on one side and 3 smaller ones on the opposite side of the interior. Additionally, the bag has two net-style pockets on each side and six decent-sized exterior compartments. Even though my bag can get quite heavy, it seems to be doing just well. I'm pleased I chose this bag out of all the bags I looked into because I constantly receive compliments on it. I've included pictures of the items I always carry in my bag. I keep a sizable first aid kit with me (you can see it is almost the size of a standard spiral notebook to give you an idea how big those interior pockets are; on that one side). My sunglasses case and a standard 16-ounce plastic water bottle fit well in the net pocket on each side. When I have it seated, the shape maintains itself fairly well. I'm satisfied overall. The only issue is that it's not as big as I wanted.

I anticipated using this bag once and then likely throwing it away at the money I paid for it. With two young boys and no backpack, I planned to try to attend Monster Jam/Monster trucks at Gillette Stadium. I bought this bag for delivery on Saturday, the day of the event, after realizing I would most likely need one two days before the event. It arrived right about 1 PM, which was ideal. I initially had two sweatshirts and two sets of earplugs. By the end of the night, I also had my phone and wallet, along with two signs, two hats, two pairs of sunglasses, souvenir cups, and plush monster trucks. Much more than I anticipated, it holds. It zips shut, so nothing spilled out when someone walked past us to leave the row and knocked it down. The length of the shoulder strap suits me well. Every day on the bus, I utilized this backpack to transport my teaching supplies to and from the classroom. It was perfect for the job. Unsurprisingly, in that setting, it became filthy quite soon. However, anything that didn't discolor was easy to remove after I washed the bag in warm water with some detergent.The fact that the bag seemed to very slightly repel water was a useful feature. The liquid merely sort of sat on or rolled off the bag, unless it was sitting and soaking in it. Once, I actually dropped a cup of coffee into the bag, but it didn't soak through, so I had to toss out the most of the liquid.When my arms were full, the bag often slipped from my shoulder, which was the only thing I did not enjoy about it. When the bag was heavy or very full, this got worse.
