For my Remington saws, I had looked "high and low" for this tiny oil cap. I've got two. The first is a pole saw. I guess after time, the cap on one spilt and cracked. So, I alternated between using other saws with the decent one I already had while looking for a replacement. Online, I discovered various component sites that sold them, but the shipping and "handling" made them excessively expensive—at least $15. This replacement oil cap and bulb assembly looked precisely like the one I needed when I found it on Amazon, and it was less than $6 with free shipping. Even though I intended to purchase two of them, I couldn't tell from the epicure whether it was exactly what I required. I tried the part on my Remington saw shortly after placing my order, and it was the exact oil cap I had on it at the time of purchase. I regarded it as my lucky day and was appreciative of having obtained what I required. I'll place an order for one more and perhaps one more to have on hand.

Despite claims to the contrary, the wrenches and screwdriver performed flawlessly with my Poulan WoodShark (Poulan P3314 14-Inch 33cc 2-Cycle Gas-Powered Chain Saw). The Poulan Craftsman Chainsaw Replacement Bar Wrench supplied by Poulan (Poulan Craftsman Chainsaw Replacement Bar Wrench # 530031163) is painted black and was incredibly difficult to locate once the employee working for me lost it, therefore the orange color of these screnches is ideal. The 13 mm bar socket is tightly sized to prevent rounding of the nut edges and the steel and welds are of exceptional quality. Others claimed that the screwdriver end was too thick, however on my saw there was plenty of place for the screw even when it was covered in paint. I haven't had to remove a spark plug using the 19 mm side, so I can't speak to how well it fits.The only minor issue is that one of the screnches required scraping paint out of the socket in order to fit over the nut.

I cracked the cap on the chain oiler reservoir while preparing my Stihl MS250 chainsaw for spring wood cutting. The component was easily obtainable via Amazon (and includes a replacement gas cap, too). It took no more than 20 seconds to detach the old tether from within the tank and install the new one. Although the part is not OEM, it seems to perform similarly. Before this weekend's scheduled journey up the mountain to cut wood, the vendor sent the part through Amazon IN TWO DAYS.

This fits my Poulan Pro 260 perfectly (2001). Once I got the carb out of the way and the lines were replaced, it was quite simple. Fishing line (30 lb test), long angled needle nose pliers, and a little finishing nail were the tools I utilized. I used the nail to pierce the new gasoline line at one end, after which I inserted the fishing line (like sewing). After threading the fishing line, I was able to draw the new hose through and push it through the tank's hole. I pulled on the fishing line while squeezing and pushing with a needle nose. I was successful in using this method to both hoses. It fired up immediately after being put back together with the new air filter and priming bulb. Don't utilize ethanol-based gas in your 2 cycle mix fuel, is the lesson we've learned. Spend the extra money and purchase the pre-mixed items in the cans. The ethanol ruins the fuel supply for all of my 2-cycle equipment.

My Stihl MS 310 chain saw easily accommodated this air filter. I was astonished to see that this looked and fit just as the OEM filter did, since I had anticipated a cheap-looking replacement part. I'm satisfied with it and have no problems; the delivery was prompt. All is well. Only the carb, new fuel lines, and gasket were utilised for this replacement, which was not the easiest. Now that the chainsaw is operating at full power, though it still has some issues, I can cut wood once more. Without a doubt, the expenditure is worth the effort. immediately started, and at full pull it was running at around 1â„2 to 3/4 throttle. A couple adjustments to the carb resulted in WOT and excellent wood-cutting.

On an MS290 Farm Boss from roughly the 2005 model year, I installed this. Since the authentic Stihl carburetor I got from Ebay was taken before delivery, I thought I'd give this one a shot. In general, I stay away from imported knockoffs, but recently I've discovered that the carburetors are excellent and the OEM ones don't survive either with the bad fuel these days.It started immediately up after I installed it. The saw responds quite well to the mixing and idle screws on this carb, however it did require adjusting for ideal throttle response and idling. I contend that it has a wider range of adjustment than the original, which may be a result of EPA regulations. I'm not sure, but I don't remember the original being able to be leaned out as much on idle. The carburetor in my saw has a tendency to flood a little when it gets really hot, but this one starts up flawlessly. I'm smitten by how easily it restarts with the smallest pull.Let me describe how to tune this sort of carburetor for those who are unfamiliar. The carb has an idle screw (LA) below the two mixing screws (H and L) that are adjacent to one another. Try starting the saw, and if the idle is too high, back off a bit till the chain stops turning or just slowly turns back and forth.Test the throttle after it has idled at an acceptable speed. If it is crisp with no bogging, you could be done. If not, you can try turning the L screw in either direction to see if you can noticeably boost the idle. If you see that the idling can be affected by the L screw, adjust it to raise the idle before lowering it with the LA screw. Here, you're trying to get the mixture as optimum as you can for idle. So adjust the L, then reduce the LA. It will eventually reach its peak performance and purr while still keeping a precise throttle. In order to have the smoothest idle possible, you should try to alternately adjust L and LA.The H screw needs to be adjusted next while using a high throttle. Be careful; you don't want the H at the most lean setting because you could oil starve or over rev a 2 stroke. You want it to scream yet be smooth. Adjust this, then reduce your speed a little below your top speed. In general, you shouldn't run any two-stroke engine at maximum power for an extended period of time. Stihl engines are excellent, but you can damage them if you run them extremely lean at high RPM for a lengthy period of time.Final thoughts If your saw doesn't start right away after you install the new carb, try turning the idle up a few turns first. Then, try starting it by turning the L screw a quarter turn in one direction, then a quarter turn in the opposite direction, starting from where it stopped. Try alternative settings in and out going a 1/4 turn more or less, keeping in mind where the L screw started. You will eventually find the sweet spot, at which point you can restart the process from the beginning.Chainsawing joy
