TOAKS Titanium 750ml Pot Review:

For the majority of my lone hikes and camping trips, I use my Esbit solid fuel 3-piece cook set, and I adore it! It did present one slight issue, though, in that the 585 ml cup is a little too small to use for cooking. I can boil water and make a few rice dishes, but that's about it. I needed something additional because I don't frequently use dried meals and wanted to maintain the compact, weight-conscious design of the Esbit system while also being able to cook in it.Introducing the 750ml Toaks cup/pot. After extensive searching, measurement, and YouTube research, I finally settled on this option, and it was ideal. Of course I had to test it out, and while I was unable to do so on the path, I was able to do it using cold water to mimic a trail-like environment.Photos show how it works with my solid fuel setup (14 14gram tablets, lighter, 8 oz. cup, Esbit stove base, Toaks cup and bag - all combined roughly 14 oz. ), as well as the hot and excellent Romin lunch I prepared using only one fuel tab.a few practical observations When cooking, the handle heats up, but when the heat is turned off, it immediately cools. The lid was simple to use and had a perfect fit. The cup had to cool for a few minutes before I could drink from it because the liquid inside was still very hot. Both the cup and the cooking-related soot on the bottom were quite simple to clean.Although only time will tell, I'm confident that my setup and this pot will last a very long time and consume less room and weight in my backpack than other alternatives when I travel.

Lodge LMP3 Cast Iron Melting Pot, Pre-Seasoned, 15-Ounce Review:

Although I don't often use this melting pot, when I do, it truly changes the game. I recently found some counterfeit "crab" meat at a wonderful price, and I used this melting pot to prepare some melted butter and garlic sauce to serve as a dip. Additionally, I've used it to melt ghee so I could brush it on roasts and steaks before braising or grilling them. And let's not even talk about pancakes!Cooking with melted butter (or ghee) is really amazing for some reason, but trying to melt butter in a microwave doesn't seem to work at all, at least not for me.Regarding the "seasoning" that all iron cookware requires, in this case, it arrives pre-seasoned, and since all I've done with it is melt butter, it's perfectly seasoning itself. It's performing OK despite the fact that I didn't season it in any particular way before using it (like I would with iron pans).

Collapsible Bucket, Esthesia 5 Gallon Bucket Multifunctional Portable Collapsible Wash Basin Folding Bucket Water Container Fishing Bucket for Travelling Camping Hiking Fishing Gardening Review:

I purchased this portable bucket so that I could take it camping. To wash dishes, I have so far filled them with 2 gallons of water. It appears to be quite durable and holds the water reasonably well. It's important to note that it had a plastic scent when I initially got it, which is fairly bothersome. However, after a few usage, the scent vanished. When I use it again, I'll keep firewood in it to test its durability.

Bisgear 12pcs Camping Cookware Stove Canister Stand Tripod Folding Spork Wine Opener Carabiner Set (TM) Outdoor Camping Hiking Backpacking Non-Stick Cooking Non-Stick Picnic Knife Spoon Dishcloth Review:

You won't find a better value on outdoor equipment than this, in my opinion. You can get a cookset and stove that feel similar to MSR for $30 and cost about a third as much. The stove is superb on its own. The piezo ignition is faultless and works with any canister fuel (I used the Coleman fuel from Walmart, which was much less expensive than REI). I went trekking with a group, and one of the members brought an MSR Pocket Rocket, which has the advantage of piezo ignition and reliably heats water more quickly than that stove ($45 stove alone).I bought the green 12-piece set. There are a few cookset components that I didn't believe were required, such as the bottle opener and corkscrew (though I do appreciate the thought!).My only complaint is that the container doesn't actually "click" or "fit" together when packaged together (exactly like in the item picture, with the big pot on the bottom and the little pan turned over on top). The small pan fits on top of the large one, although the connection is not very strong. It's a minor complaint that is lessened by the fact that the cookset may be completely wrapped in the included mesh netting, which holds everything together (I would not store this in my pack without the netting - I think it would fall apart).

Freegrace Premium Collapsible Bucket Compact Portable Folding Water Container - Lightweight & Durable - Includes Handy Tool Mesh Pocket Review:

All the "camp showers" on the market seem to have a propensity to prematurely break, so I bought this in the hopes of making a DIY camp shower, and this water bucket had nice reviews. I specifically purchased the dark blue color so that it would warm up faster in the sun. I haven't actually had a shower yet; I've merely done basic stress testing on the bucket. You can find two images of my testing that I attached to the review. I mostly filled the bucket with water. I got it completely full, but there is no way to stop some of the water from spilling out as you move it. According to my tests, the bucket can support itself when completely full with water, and its handles are sturdy enough to be hung from a piece of wood or a carabineer. For several days now, I've actually left it nearly full (as previously noted, some water does spill out while being moved) as I experimented with various setups for hanging this bucket from a tree branch. It has resisted everything. Since I certainly don't want 50 pounds to come crashing down on my head in a forest, I've kept it hanging during the day and over night while stress testing it to the maximum extent. My water warmed up quickly after being exposed to the sun and was able to effectively absorb the ambient warmth thanks to the dark color of the bucket. The inability of the bucket to stand upright when empty or only slightly filled is one drawback that I did observe, and I'm sure is true of all collapsible buckets. You must fill it with water for it to fully stand up on its own; else, it will fall over by itself. I won't deduct any stars from it because I believe this is a problem with all collapsible buckets. As of right now, if you want to create a camp shower, I advise getting this bucket. Simply wrap a lengthy plastic tube around the handles with some reusable wire ties while submerging one end of the tube in water. Gravity will take care of the rest, siphoning the water down so you can enjoy a beautiful camp shower once you hang this up on a tree and start some water flowing down the tube.

Bulin 27/13/11/8/3 PCS Camping Cookware Mess Kit, Nonstick Lightweight Backpacking Cooking Set, Outdoor Cook Gear for Family Hiking, Picnic(Kettle, Pot, Frying Pan, BPA-Free Bowls, Plates, Spoon) Review:

In order to compare this set with another, almost identical set from a different manufacturer, I bought them both for the same price. Nearly identical products, bags, and other items were included in both sets; the only variances were in the finer details. According to the advertisement, this set includes 6 bowls, 7 small plates, and 7 large plates (all lightweight, BPA-free plastic). Six plates, six sets of cutlery (knife, fork, spoon), and six 8-ounce glasses were included in the alternative set (all stainless steel, cups have silicon sleeves). The good: This set weighed 2 1/2 pounds less. In comparison to the other set, this set's lids are better designed and built, and the bracket holding the handle to the largest (4l) pan is considerably more durable and substantial. This set's kettle is bigger and can handle about an extra cup of liquid. This set's bag is also well-made and of excellent quality. The bad: There weren't 7 large plates and 7 little plates included in this set; instead, there were 3 large (9-inch) plates and 4 small (8-inch) plates. The pans in this set are between half and one millimeter thinner than those in the other set, which results in a minor reduction in weight and overall robustness. The handles are also looser and have more flexibility (with the exception of the largest pan). In summary, the construction is still reasonable in price and delivered on time. For billing it in the description as having seven of each type of plate rather than seven total, I'm taking one point off. I haven't field tested either set yet, but once I do, I'll update my review. When I have the chance, I'll also post head-to-head comparison films of each set, one on first impressions and the other on field tests.

REDCAMP 9/12/18/23 PCS Camping Cookware Mess Kit, Aluminum Lightweight Folding Camping Pots and Pans Set for 1/2/3/4 Person, FDA Approved Review:

I've been a camper, bike tourist, hiker, and traveler for the past 50 years. Over the years, I've owned several cook sets, some of which were better than others. I gave them a good beating.I've been using a variety of these old pots for years, and it was time for a change.I was looking for a good set of nesting pots that were appropriate for the camping I do.The two smaller pots are ideal for usage by myself while traveling by bicycle. It is the ideal size for car camping with a group of friends once the third larger pot is added. They are small and light, and the pots' folding handles make it unnecessary to carry them and risk losing a pot grip. The two little plates and the plastic bowls go together with the rest of the set. Perfect.decent design excellent executionIt's a good life.

G4Free Camping Cookware Mess Kit 4/13 Piece Hiking Backpacking Picnic Cooking Bowl Non Stick Pot Pan Knife Spoon Set Review:

This is a wonderful little kit for the price. It's not particularly tough; it almost seems like a camping equipment for children. The three little "bowls" each hold one cup. The miniature bowls fit perfectly in the toy plastic ladle. Although the short wood spatula needs to be oiled to last, I absolutely appreciate it. The medium pot, which has a capacity of 4 cups, is ideal for the 3 cup soups I prepare for supper. The little pot can contain two cups, making it ideal for my 16-ounce cup of coffee. Additionally, they include dimensions on the inside, which is useful. These burners are said to function well and come packaged in a very useful small plastic box to prevent them from damaging your pots. You'd have a fine little set if you added one of those silicone foldable bowls, a travel mug, and a spork. Heck, even a Taco Bell spork would significantly enhance this modest little set. After using the stove, I can say that it functions reasonably well, if sputterily. The piezo ignition also functions, however it takes a while. I appreciate the small orange box that the stove fits into because it is difficult to lose in the grass. On the interior bottom of one of the pots was a poor finish. They responded to my email within a few hours and promised to send me another pot right away. Even though it would take a few weeks to arrive, the service was still good. In the interim, I purchased a collapsible bowl and cup that essentially filled the bill as well.

MalloMe Camping Cookware Mess Kit Backpacking Gear & Hiking Outdoors Bug Out Bag Cooking Equipment Cookset | Lightweight, Compact, Durable Pot Pan Bowls (Black 2L 10 pc) Review:

The cooking utensils appear to be sturdy and endure when used directly over a wood fire. The pots don't appear to have suffered much damage, and the handles didn't melt. They are excellent for backpacking and very light. That the provided lid only fits on the pot and not the pan was a surprise to me, but it's probably my own fault for not doing more research. The small wood spoon and metal spork that are included as accessories are nice, but I deducted one rating because the ladle cracked after just a few days of light use. With some superglue, it should be fixable where the handle cracked. The scouring pad is also not very helpful. It's an excellent, inexpensive cooking kit all around for a quick backpacking trip.

SureFire EarPro EP-3 Sonic Defenders Review:

I've been using those foam earplugs up until now to drown out noise while using power tools and falling asleep on long aircraft journeys. I also wore traditional earplugs to the shooting range on the weekends and on building projects. When I first saw the SureFire EarPros in the handgun movies from Magpul, I wondered what made them special. I made the decision to try them after researching them on SureFire's website and learning that they weren't too pricey. I snapped a picture of myself in the mirror with a ruler against my ear before I decided to buy them. I was a small according to SureFire's fitting guide. I tested out the EarPro's for sleeping and shooting after purchasing them from the dealer. As long as you don't turn over on your ear on the pillow, they are comfortable in the ear for prolonged use. Not advised for use in a real bed; perhaps on a flight when you cannot roll over? On the range, they effectively muffle sound in "open" mode so that I could still talk to the range master. Everything was fine until high pressure ammunition arrived. I can still use the EarPro with the plug undone because I primarily shoot in 9mm. But in order to get the full NRR 24 effect, I had to close the plugs when shooters using the.40 and.357 calibers started firing in the neighboring lanes. One thing to keep in mind is that, although the NRR 24 was likely recorded at the plug's tip, human hearing extends beyond than the ear canal. Even at the same NRR rating, a set of earplugs that totally enclose the outer ear and press against the side of the head would likely offer superior noise cancellation. On an open outdoor range, I'd think the EarPro would be sufficient, but within or under a roof, the echo from high pressure bullets will rock your entire cranium, not just your ear. I believe that wearing the EarPro "open" underneath electronic earplugs would be the best option. After that, you can still hear dialogue despite excellent noise suppression.
