I'll try to address the same 10 questions that were asked on all 17 pages so you don't have to spend an hour reading questions and answers. We purchased the king-size model and are using it with a 13" Costco memory foam mattress. I'll update in a month because this is only a day one evaluation.59 pounds when shipped. Measures 42" x 21" x 6" in cardboard box. was shipped in good condition. When placing the order, they were unsure of the delivery date. They mailed it by UPS on Monday after our order was placed on Thursday, and it arrived on Wednesday (a day earlier than the shipping confirmation said).Assembly: The simple to follow pictograph-style instructions are printed on a single page of paper. Despite being in English, you don't really need to read the text. The border of the bed is made up of six lengthy extruded metal pieces, with an additional one running down the center. The three lengthy segments have legs that fold open. The top and bottom are made up of four components that are simply bolted together without any moving parts. The steps are straightforward. Simply arrange all the parts before beginning to attach them. The instructions' sole flaw is that they titled the pieces "A" and "A1" (for the top of the bed) and "B" and "B1" (for the bottom), respectively, but then they said "A1*1" and "A*1" to show there is one of each, so read them carefully. The metal components are not labeled, but if you carefully study the diagram, you'll notice that the A pieces have slots for attaching a headboard while the B pieces do not. My wife and I assembled it in less than 15 minutes, but she is capable of doing it solo. None of the parts are particularly hefty. Lifting the mattress onto the finished structure was by far the most difficult step (a king mattress is heavy).Only two long bolts with nuts and 12 short bolts without nuts make up the hardware. No further tools are needed because they provide you with the Allen wrench and nut wrench you need. Attaching everything was simple. The metal slats are then snapped onto their holders. Red dots on four of the slats match the red dots in the bed's center. The ends of those slots feature tiny tongues that fit into tiny gaps on the slat holders.Slats and lip: Each side of the bed has nine rectangular extruded metal slats. Each slat is 8 inches apart and has a top width of 1/2 inch (from the center of one slat to the center of the next). Slats' tops are half an inch lower than the top of the frame. This has a lip to keep your mattress or box spring in place, and it was a very tight fit for our king-sized memory foam mattress so that it will not move.Mattress/box spring: A box spring is optional but not necessary. With a box spring and mattress, the bed will be extremely tall because the frame is 18 inches high. The top of our 13-inch memory foam mattress is almost 32 inches from the ground without a box spring. If you have a standard mattress, you may simply place it directly on the slats without a box spring. Without a box spring, a memory foam mattress need something in between to prevent the foam from squeezing through the slats. Cardboard is generally the best option, although pegboard, particle board, and thin plywood will all do the trick. The interior dimensions of that lip I described are 75.5" x 79.5", so if you want to install something similar, be aware that you need something slightly smaller than that. After that, split it in half so that you may transfer it in your SUV or truck. We decided against putting anything in between our memory foam and the slats, my wife and I. According to the question and answer responses, around 1/3 of memory foam owners took our approach, while about 2/3 purchased a filler item. This platform bed is truly fantastic. However, I believe there are a few minor issues with this.Benefits: -Leaves plenty of room under the bed for plastic storage bins or to stow away a large amount of dirty laundry.-Sturdy bed; my wife and I are not small people, so we don't have any concerns about it holding up for us, even if we let our inner children out and pretended it was a trampoline.-ample support across the mattress with no sharp edges; whether you have a flip pillow top or a single-sided mattress, I don't think this will affect your mattress in any way over time. I personally use a 15" king-size memory foam mattress.Cons: I would prefer it was just a little bit higher as some XL bins don't fit; -slick top, your mattress can slide around if its not too heavy; -because of the slick top it makes it really difficult to get a bedskirt to stay in place when putting the mattress over it; -multiple supports in the middle, while they are necessary to keep the frame lighter, they make it a little more difficult to organize longer boxes. It functions, but I would like it to be more functional. Assembly is time-consuming, and the tools are subpar. It goes much faster if you use an impact driver with an allen head, but be careful not to strip the screws because they are easily misthreaded or overtorqued.

I needed a new bed frame that could support my weight without breaking, retain a foam mattress, and accommodate a foam mattress. I needed something little because my studio unit is so small. I decided to take a chance on this one after reading numerous reviews and contrasting it with other frames on Amazon. The frame was packaged really carefully and came in an easy-to-carry box before its scheduled arrival date. I set out all the components in the order they were listed in the directions and started putting it together. Inside, all the metal was covered, and styrofoam cushioned the edges (did I mention that the styrofoam was wrapped in plastic so there was no mess while unpacking...awesome). It was pretty simple to put together this frame. If I had an additional person, it would have been even simpler, but that was my fault. This frame just required me around 30 minutes to put together. It looks fantastic and is quite lightweight. I have slept on it for roughly three nights in a row with a 10 so far "both my 280 lb. self and a foam mattress. No creaking, and no concern that it would break. The clearance is just under 14 inches "There is still enough of room under the bed to store items if needed, so it's not a major concern. To anyone who needs a frame for their foam mattress and has limited room in their home, I wholeheartedly recommend this one.

I love this frame that I bought. Even though I'm not the most handy person, it took me around 20 minutes to put it together. It has excellent appearance and craftsmanship, and unlike some of the less expensive frames, you do not even need a bed skirt to conceal it. My king-size mattress fits well and doesn't move at all. The fact that this frame contains no noise is another significant factor for me. A frame that produces the screeching noise each time you move or get on and off the bed is a pet hate of mine, but this one does not. I purchased this back in July for my nephew. His mother called me last night and said the frame had broken. The description makes things appear invincible, so I couldn't believe it. My sister explains that when he simply sat on one end to put on his shoes, it broke when I ask her how it happened. I am certain that my nephew, a teenager who weighs about 120 lbs, was not the problem. I wish I could create one of those reviews that Social Media users share a million times.Amazon has thought of everything for a product that you will never see again once you set it up and put your bed on it.I bought two to replace a fifty year old frame that lacked a flange to attach headboards to for my parents who are moving into allocated living. I was concerned when the box arrived because it was so little and light. Something wrong with my Amazon Basics purchase? Never. Even the packaging shows how well thought out this product is. Take it out of the packaging, cut the tie straps, and then simply unfold. Two black anodized, tubular steel bed rails magically materialize. You are finished once you remove the three cross parts from their plastic sleeves and arrange them. No problems, no blood blisters, no cuts, no pinched fingers. I mentioned there were no tools needed. You dislike reading small print. That won't be necessary. With a drink in the other hand, any typical college student moving into a dorm can figure it out. The only puzzle is how Amazon manages to sell this for so little. At double the cost, a deal. You won't be sorry you bought it.
