I had been hunting for a table for a while when I saw the BBO website. The identical table costs the same and comes with more alternatives, but delivery is expensive and time-consuming. Therefore, order it from Amazon if you aren't customizing it because it will arrive much quicker and be a little cheaper. To keep it safe, it was totally enclosed in styrofoam. The fact that it is hefty is the first thing I noticed, but this also indicates that it is sturdy and will survive for a long time. Therefore, don't think that moving this object will be simple. Even the legs are constructed beautifully. The speed cloth is fantastic for sliding cards and is also waterproof, therefore I heartily suggest it. This table was carefully designed because everything can be readily changed and is available on the BBO website. You will therefore have this table for a very long time. The cup holders were the only drawback that comes to mind with it. They are spacious, so you can place larger beverages inside, but smaller drinks can still move around well in them, so it is not exactly a drawback. I adore this table, and after using it a few times, my home has become the official poker house. In order to protect the table when not in use, I would also suggest purchasing a case, which you can get on the BBO website.

Many will be impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail, along with the decent joinery and well-finished exterior.A dark filler was used to fill in the imperfect miters at the corners. I might not have noticed if it were a lighter color. I detected a few, little grains on the surface. There was also a single, tiny indentation that was approximately the size of a butter dish and only a thousandth of an inch wide.People gush about the power. Strong for a card table, but use caution if you also use it as a workspace or if you socialize with troublemakers. Ingenious, yeah; especially powerful, no.Due to the shoddy packing that is severely unsuitable for the significant weight of the table, I was concerned that the box would be destroyed when I first saw it. I was extremely happy to see that it just had a handful of tiny, deep dents on one edge. There was a break in the finish on the dent's edge (s). In the image, that area is indicated by the brief glossy line at the right edge of the dent(s).Many of these must be destroyed during shipping, in my opinion. Manufacturers are required to account for hard handling. It is assumed. If the packaging was appropriate with the weight, this card/kitchen table would receive five stars FOR THE MONEY.I believe that the one damaged region on this table is an accident, and a replacement might be worse.I don't have much free time. Repackaging, traveling across town, and standing in line in the hopes of obtaining one that is undamaged? I'll put up with it. Fine furniture made by Meco/Stakmore merits better packaging. You got a great deal for your money if you acquire one that is undamaged. Oh crap, I just noticed two very small dings on another edge.P.S. Cherry is incorrectly depicted, but I did receive the table I bought, which was finished in "oak" but was actually made of tropical hardwood.The figure is somewhat intriguing and made of a very durable wood, either beech or ash. The wood is presumably light cherry wood in color without stain. The finger joints are not very evident because of the grain and discoloration.In terms of hue and closeness to honey oak, but not in terms of grain, the color is similar to some (darkened) vintage real pine paneling.

The box's corners appeared to have been gnawed by rats. The packaging had a large, thick sticker on it claiming that Amazon had INSPECTED and RE-PACKAGED the item. Really?They obviously couldn't have given it a thorough inspection. It had some scuffing and dents on the rounded edges when I took it out of the package. It nearly felt as though I could use my thumb to press the dents even further into the "cherry wood." I questioned whether or not it is solid wood. A large sticker warning that said "Materials used to build the table are known to the State of California to cause cancer" caught my attention on the underside of the table. What possibly was that? And as soon as I turned the table over, a large screw dropped out!The table feels solid enough to be used as a portable table despite the little damage. A little person could find it difficult to flip over upright because it is 32x32", but it is not impossible. If you have a wood floor, I would recommend replacing the table's tiny rubber pads that were attached to the bottom of the legs.I'm curious to know what kind of wood the table is constructed of specifically. The mention of a Cherry wood "finish," an Oak wood "finish," and a Fruitwood "finish" in the description leads me to believe that the table is not actually manufactured from any of these woods but rather is simply finished to resemble these woods. With the exception of a small color difference, all of the photographs in the description are identical. Real wood would have a variety of grain patterns. Mine doesn't appear to have a continuous grain or to have been put together from pieces of an identical size. Instead of being uniform in size, it resembles a patchwork. There are numerous lines that disrupt the flow, giving it a phony appearance. So for what it is, I think it's a little expensive. Definitely not deserving of five stars, but it is undoubtedly useful and attractive enough for a portable table.

It's a sizable, top-notch card table. To store 1,000-piece picture puzzles in progress, we bought it. It excels at doing that. The surface is lightly padded, which is perfect for cards but almost too much "give" to serve as an ideal basis for inserting small jigsaw puzzle pieces. For all you puzzlers, though. To fix this issue, we might end up covering the surface with a rigid foam panel. On the other hand, Samsonite quality is reliable. The table is substantial and generously sized. fantastic stuffThe shipping carton is substantial, as one might anticipate. The table was delivered on the "early" end of the shipping estimate after being dispatched swiftly from Florida. The desk was in excellent condition. Great work all around.

On New Year's Eve, I handed this to my spouse in celebration of our anniversary. It took around 20 minutes to unpack it and set it up with the help of our daughter. The pedestal and the feet were shipped separately from the table's top and base. That was good because the tabletop was heavy enough on its own. Working with the vendor (Cymax) was a pleasure. But the shipper was a mess. which is not the seller's fault. Large holes were pierced and squashed by the shipper in the box that the top was shipped in. Fortunately, the packaging was quite nicely made. It was well-protected by a covering of styrofoam. To make a return, you must sign for it and check the package for damage before accepting. I couldn't check this out before accepting delivery. The table was delivered to my neighbors, who later brought it to me, I believe because the shippers wanted to avoid this situation. They contacted to let me know that they delivered to them despite being aware of it since they might become caught in our yard. (?????????) Every day I drove a little automobile into this yard. clean driveway. That was but a small portion of the delivery company's total disarray. My point is that if you don't stay on top of the delivery, you might regret it. Working with Cymax was a pleasure, and I'm confident that they would have found a solution if there had been a problem.Returning to the poker table now. It truly resembles the image exactly. Very attractive and durable. Satin rather than shine is the predominant finish. It has a wonderful wood finish, with the exception of the bottom and interior/storage surface, which has an excellent textured plastic type surface. I don't play poker, so I can't speak from experience, but it looks like 8 seats would be too many to fit around this table. Husband asserts the opposite. Maybe those that play poker like each other a lot. Moreover, use a lot of deodorant. LOL. I advised him to purchase four really good, padded chairs for permanent use and an additional four for supplemental use.Because the pre-drilled holes already had metal threads in them, assembly was very simple. Approximately 16 bolts needed to be attached. Four screws were used to affix the feet to the base (they were already inserted into the feet; you simply screwed the feet to the base), four screws to affix the base to the pedestal, four screws to affix the pedestal to the plate that supports the table bottom, and four screws to affix that plate to the table bottom. The gaming surface should then be placed on top of the table, and you are finished.The only thing that makes me pause is that the poker surface is merely laid on firm, 3/4-inch-wide rubber pads to keep it in place. It would have been nice to see more to prevent it from sliding. Since the poker top is so substantial, there shouldn't be any issues. Additionally, no liquids will be placed in these cup holders. If the design allows it, I'm thinking about ripping them out and installing metal holders. They are only around 3/8 inch deep, so they cannot stop a cup from toppling over if it is bumped. However, I was aware of this before to making a purchase, so I was prepared. Nothing major. The cushioned surface is exquisite. When he saw everything put up, my husband made a comment about it right away. It is really smooth and well-padded. It is convenient to have the plastic gaming surface. I would prefer it if it were a little bit deeper so that my husband and kids' Risk and Axis and Allies games could be left and the poker top put back on, but that would only be an added plus and not a deal breaker.Any game area would look fantastic with this. This would also work well if you only have place for a dining table in your small apartment. a really nice poker or game table when you need it, or a semiformal dinner table.

wonderful, solid game table color is just as shown. The two drawers have plenty of capacity for backgammon, checkers, and chess pieces. Despite the fact that the king cannot "stand" in the drawer with the pieces I bought, I do not believe this to be a problem. We adore them as well!It is, in my opinion, a wonderful piece of furniture that is both beautiful and practical and fits nicely in a nook or little space.On this table top, there isn't any more space, though. It can very much only hold one of the following: gaming pieces OR some drinks and snacks—not both at once. Keep in mind that the game board has tiny holes on both sides that you can slide your fingers into to switch the game from chess/checkers to backgammon. However, because the board is square, you can place these over the table's sides or its drawers.

I got him a table for his game area as a gift for my son. Because only the base showed up at first, I was a little alarmed. Nobody had raised the possibility of two distinct shipments. Four days later, the top is delivered. There is only one minor scratch in the felt on the side of the poker table, but it hardly stands out. Otherwise, everything is in fine condition. Based on prior evaluations, I purchased the additional bumpers, however the existing bumpers worked just well. A felt brush, balls, and two cues are also included. It is quite nicely crafted and very thoroughly studied. It is just as lovely as any I looked at in stores, but costs so much less, which really astonished me. I'm really glad I selected this table because it's a great value.
