We have a modest apartment that was previously an attic. We have sloped ceilings in all of our different locations as a result. One such area was the shower, where the shower curtain did not extend all the way across by around 6 inches. In the summer, it wasn't a big deal because it was hot and I wanted some fresh air, but as the weather started to cool off, I was losing valuable warm, steamy air through this enormous gap. This product was exactly what I was looking for when I read about it on Buzzfeed. Although the curtain itself is simple to remove and open, the adhesive is extremely powerful. This was effective. The water pools and drips out of the front and back of an older tub I have that is on a raised house. It appears the tub may be sagging a little. READ UP! There is only one drip guard here; you will need to buy two. Although it works reasonably well, the price is just too high. Given that this is not Amazon Prime and the delivery is rather slow, it is not particularly inexpensive for a plastic guard.

I was thrilled to find these because I was seeking for something to put on either side of my standing shower to prevent water from dripping onto the wall. These are also self-adhesive, which is a HUGE benefit and, in my opinion, a necessity for anyone attempting to attach them without the assistance of a handyman. These were self-adhesive, so I didn't need to hold them in place while I was applying the silicone, and I was able to get them flush on the wall on all sides. I then used clear silicone to seal them all around. I suggest these.

These PROS PLUS are more bigger than I had anticipated. They are pure white and will match well with a regular white tub, which is what I have. They are firm plastic. They are tapered inward towards the tub and not just straight like others i've seen. This is good since it will capture more water from departing your tub.CONS – They don't come with silicon or tape. You must have your own silicon caulking in order to install it, but this may be a good thing since it will stay longer!- I didn't apply enough silicon caulking to one spot after installation, using, and checking, and now there is water leaking into the seam between the plastic and the silicon caulk bead. Simply said, I have to do it better.

I rent a home that has some shoddy, mismatched cupboards in various rooms. Despite the use of shims by a handyman, the bathroom's little vanity tight cubbyhole area is not level. Therefore, any water splashed near the faucet area immediately drained off, largely on one side, onto the floor in a zone that was only about 18" deep and about 4 " broad. The opposite of vanity is identical, albeit less wet. So it was a hassle to maintain those dirt-free. After removing the adhesive strips from each splash guard, I caulked the very dry vanity surface on either side of the back of the vanity using silicone caulk (so, either side of faucet area, close to outer edges). Set them up and put the guards on. Splash guard base was caulked, then allowed to cure. To close the space between the backsplash of the vanity countertop and the vertical flange of the guard, caulk had to be piled up. Big deal. There are no longer any nearly inaccessible puddles for a 64-year-old woman with a bad knee and short arms to try and clean. Although not rock sold, it has been there for more than 6 months and does a very good job.
